I think that Real Technique brushes are an excellent value for the price. I am used to using high end brushes but the Real technique brushes work just as well if not better. This shading brush has a small brush head and I use it mainly to apply color to the lower lid and to blend colors. Bristles are soft but firm. Cleans well and maintains its shape after washing.

It’s a decent brush. To be honest, I thought it was going to be bigger (around the same size as a MAC 239) but it’s very small. I think it’s equivalent to a Mac 231. You can use it to pack shadows on the lid, but not great for blending. Since it’s quite small, you’d be better off using a large brush to apply and pack on color though. Another great use for this brush is adding a shimmery color onto the inner corners of the eyes. I also use it to smudge color onto my bottom lash line. I’m a fan of smudgy, grungy makeup so it works well for me, but it’s not as effective at applying a thin, precise line on the bottom lashes. If it’s on sale at Ulta and the ones I currently own are worn out, then I may repurchase.

Lovely brush. Could be used for almost anything-blending/applying concealer, eyebrow powder, eyeshadow, etc. Very nice.

Bristles:
These are all “vegetarian” brushes- synthetic hair. The hair is very soft but have structure to them. This is not a flimsy brush, you are able to blend color easily.

This brush is designed in a way that you are able to blend color easily.
Performance over time:
I’ve deep cleaned my brush on more than one occasion: no fall out or changing of bristles.
Cost: Inexpensive.
