This is my go-to brush for contouring — the edges taper but the overall shape allows to blend out sharp edges and give you a “shadow” instead of a streak! I’ve been using this brush for about 2+ years, and I have zero complaints whatsoever! Even after 2 years, I haven’t experienced the bristles falling out.

This is an odd shaped brush but because of that it is great for many things. However I think it is best for bronzers or contour because it has a similar shape as a fan brush but much more dense which makes it perfect for the hollows of the cheeks, temples, etc. It blends out the product quickly and evenly. The bristles are nice and soft without fallout or dyes. Is smaller then most brushes but I find that makes it easier to control where you put the products, is travel friendly and fits nicely in my small hands.

Favorite brush for applying bronzer. I love that it is tapered, and is the perfect shape for my cheeks, and to also run along my forehead & jaw. Makes bronzing your neck pretty easy too.

Purchased at Target on a whim. It’s super short, which is a con for me because it falls to the bottom of my makeup brush holder all of the time, but I’m sure most love how travel-friendly it is. I’ve had it for months and it hasn’t started shedding. Its surprisingly soft and dense – something I don’t normally see in ELF brushes. I used to use it for foundation, but because of the short handle, my wrist has to do more work and gets tired easily. Started using it just to blend out my concealer and its fantastic. Really does blend like a dream. 🙂

This brush is soft and doesn’t shed. Important in a brush.
However the only reason I’m pretty upset with my purchase is because when I bought it online it didn’t specify what type of brush this was. Like I assumed it was a round top brush which I was looking forward to – to powder all over my face. But it’s actually a tapered brush and wasn’t even stated…..i know.
It’s tapered so it’s more likely you use it for contour or bronzing. I already have a contour brush from elf which I love so I guess I’ll use this for bronzing. Pretty bummed tho they should have been more specific about the details of the brush.
Obviously you can use this brush however you like. It’s all up to you at the end of the day. Simply because of the cheap and affordable price, you should totally go get the brush. Be sure to note the shape of the brush tho!
Also, its a pretty short handle good for travelling but quite awkward in my normal sized brushes collection. Short like the distance from your wrist to where you fingers just start. Basically the length of your palm. Yup…short.

Omg awesome! I have 3 of these (1 resides in my purse!). Great all around brush for any of the elf palettes from blush to contour to anything. Best face brush I own only $6 when I went back for a back up it was so hard for me not to grab the entire display elf brushes are so much better than wnw. And they are (both) cruelty free! Yay! This brush has a shorter-than-normal handle so it’s great for keeping in your bag it has a shield too. Theeeee best #downtowntriplecrown #winning

Another fantastic brush from ELF. You need this.

Hands down, this is one of the best foundation brushes ever!!!
Why buy it?
Two simple reasons:
* Affordable ($6 on e.l.f. website…5% off at Target if you have their card)
* Efficient (blends foundation effortlessly in under 1 minute, no joke)
If you have ever struggled with swiftly blending foundation during a time-crunch, this is the best $6 solution you have ever invested in. My morning routine is so fast now! 😀

Absolutely FANTASTIC brush! It’s so dense and soft, and it blends out liquid foundations like a dream! I use this with the E.L.F. Foundation Serum and it really helps to create a totally flawless finish.
No shedding, and I like the shorter design as I find it gives me the most control. The bristles are so silky and plush that it’s a joy having this against my skin.
E.L.F. has a tendency to create some great brushes, but this is by far their best yet. Definitely high-end quality at a very inexpensive high-street price point. I may have to buy a backup or two or twelve.

The only thing I regret about this brush is that I didn’t buy two. This brush is fabulous because it is so soft, dense, and works with contours of the face. I think it picks up and holds fine mineral powder so well. I use this with Becca Mineral Foundation Pressed Powder, which is expensive, because I don’t get product waste which can happen when you swipe some brushes across the surface of fine pressed powder. It holds and even amount into the brush, and it makes application fast and easy. I have also used this to blend out powder contour, blush, set. I just really love this brush and it was only $6, but so much cheaper than the Sephora fan shaped brush. So far no shedding, handle is sturdy and short which probably gives you good control and pressure.
