I like this product quite a bit! It’s no miracle worker but with consistent use, there has been a noticeable difference in my scars.
First off, I have a skin condition where the scars on my skin take a very long time (if at all) to fade. This can be everything from large scabs, body acne scars, eczema scars, to tiny marks from ingrown hairs, so I have plenty of marks all over my body. I love The Ordinary so I decided to get a bottle of this to try out, and I used it on stretch marks, my lower legs, chest and back. I found that is used daily or every other day, there’s been a clear difference on places where the skin is ‘thinner’, like my chest and back. On my legs and on my stretch marks however, there is a difference but not as obvious.
The first bottle lasted me around 3-4 months with daily use I think. The second bottle, I used more sparingly and noticed that it was far less effective that way. The texture is pretty oily but nothing too much. I didn’t find it to be a problem since I’m used to applying heavy body moisturizer daily.
I would definitely recommend this if you have mild to average scars, but probably not for anything worse than that. I think this is a good product for what it does, and it’s certainly more effective than any other scar lightening product I’ve used in the past. However, it is also more expensive, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I’d be happy to repurchase it, but at the same time, it’s not a product I can’t live without. I’ve been using some affordable AHA/BHA products on my legs (for example, after wiping my face with CosRX’s Clear Pad, I wipe what’s left on my legs), and I feel like they would do the same for my scars as the Retin-Oil.

I think it’s a good oil for stretch marks however at this price not worth it. Also, I wouldn’t recommend applying it on the face, even though Deciem says you can, I find that it leaves my face greasy and breaks me out.

Eh, I wanted to love this. The Abnormal Beauty Company kept showing up on my fb feed and I was immediately intrigued. They were running a deal, like $130 for a huge box of products from all the companies they host on the page… Hand Chemistry was one of them.
I would have bought the Retin-Oil anyway because I had been searching for it so I was pretty psyched when it showed up in the box. I used it on what I consider “problem areas” and only on those areas. My elbows, knees, a big scar on my arm, my stretch marks and décolletage.
Nothing. No change after 3 months. Sadness. To be fair, nothing I have tried in 17 years of owning stretch marks has made a dent in them so who knows.
Pros:
– Nice scent
– Does leave skin feeling softer immediately after use
Cons:
– The bottle is eternally oily. I use a LOT of oils and I have never had one that is always so greasy. I parked in on my dresser and it left a bottle sized ring of permanent damage.
– Did not really do anything 🙁
I think I actually will try this again though because, you know, maybe the next bottle has the magic.

This oil is amazing! I actually found it on sale at CVS for $10.00, but the listing price is usually $20.00, which is expected.
The benefits of this oil that I have noticed are:
Softer skin
Fades discoloration and dark marks
Hydrates skin
Plumps up skin to look younger
Fades and blurs stretch marks
Prevents and heals acne (just mix with moisturizer if you have sensitive skin)
Fades hereditary under-eye circles
Only con is a strong citrus smell, but it’s not unpleasant.
Basically, this is a product that I can no longer live without, and is a five star in my book.

This product is the newest technology of the gold standard–Retin-A. I have used many a Retin-A/Retinoid product in the past and being someone with sensitive skin always found there very irritating. Often I had to discontinue use. This product is amazing! It contains what the company calls “next generation” vitamin A that is as effective and does not irritate my skin at all.
I’ve been using the product for several months on my hands and decolletage and my skin is much smoother, silly soft, and, as promised my age spots have started to fade nicely. I’m excited to see how much more improvement I can get as a result of using this product and, now consider it a must have part of my anti-aging arsenal.
