HG lotion but that price! I switched from this a while back to french pharmacy lotions (Avene, Embroylisse) to save $ and only recently read the ingredients. Embroylisse’s 2nd ingredient is mineral oil eeekkkk. So back to the fold. This lotion has a lovely lemon-y smell feels amazing on skin (unlike some lotions that feel sticky, suffocating, wax-y). Kiehl’s feels like moisturize and it sinks in fast leaving a glow. I really appreciate Kiehl’s commitment to natural ingredients without the parabens, mineral oils, colorings, etc. I just wish they switch the packaging on this. Either 1/2 or 2/3 of the way through the bottle the pump stops working and you have to unscrew the top and flip it upside down which is absurd when the 16oz is $55!

I do like the scent of the product (citrusy, lemony almost). I really like how thick and rich it is. And it is very moisturizing. (I might repurchase as a treat from time to time on this basis alone–even though it is a bit too expensive to purchase regularly.) I used it to lotion up my hands and arms before bed and it really made a difference to my dry skin.
Unfortunately, like many other reviewers, the pump stopped working before I finished even half the bottle and then it got to be a pain in the butt to use. It’s so thick that unless you store the bottle upside down, you have to either scoop it out with the otherwise useless pump (not very efficient) or really pound it against something to get some out.

This lotion was a great disappointment. I tried a sample and liked it. It seemed to work fine for my dry skin, I liked the light scent and the way it kept my skin moisturized.
So I bought a bottle and the problem started. The product is quite thick, but during the first week the pump was picking up the fluid part at the bottom and dustributing it was not a problem.
After only a week of use it started to get difficult to get the product, because the fluid part was gone and the thicker part is not coming out easily out of the pump. After two week, I had to unscrew the pump and I started scooping the product out of the bottle. This is just unacceptable for a product that is certainly not cheap.
I am now trying to scoop out the last bit and even if the moisturizinf effect is good, I am definitely not going to buy this product ever again, because using if is so annoying. Definitely not recommended.

I’ve used Crème de Corps for many years, but my skin had suddenly become dry and flaky during allergy season. Instead of buying a body oil, which I feared would be messy, I thought this would be a happy medium – and it is. Unlike Crème de Corps, this lotion absorbs very quickly and healed my dry skin within days. It even changed the texture and appearance of my skin, and it’s never looked better. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite body lotion for summer. It makes my skin look so healthy and glowing. For me the glow stays on my skin all day. The scent is not overpowering so it does not mess with my fragrance.
This is expensive so I save it for for summer use. Use something less expensive for winter since nobody sees much skin. Ha!
Only one time have I had a bottle squirt out oil the first time. And, you do have to slam the bottle when it is towards the end because the product is very thick. Kiehls probably should change to a tub container to make it easier.

This stuff was nice in the store, it was creamy and hydrating when I tried a sample there. When I tried using the bottle I purchased at home, the first pump was ALL OIL. EEECH! I had a palm full of argan oil and had to slather it all over just to use it up because I didn’t want to waste the very expensive product. There was no mention that this stuff might separate when I bought it and mixing it up in the container was not really feasible. I took it right back to the store and the sales person was not really helpful after I told him I was returning the product, said that it was not uncommon for this lotion to separate and treated me like I was crazy for thinking this stuff should stay emulsified.
So no, I don’t want to shake the thing like a maraca every time I go to use it. For $38 a bottle, call me crazy but I think it should stay emulsified.
I won’t be buying this again.

Love this as much as Creme de Corps for how well it moisturizes without leaving a greasy/sticky feeling. The citrus fragrance is very sophisticated and fresh. The pump dispenser is the worst, you get one squirt and it stops working. Kiehls said that is the nature of the thick product and I need to tap it on a hard surface. Still not much difference. If Kiehls knows the pump doesn’t really work, they should switch the packaging. I’ll still buy, again, because it takes care of my MN winter dry patches without leaving a cloying lotion feeling.

Kiehls has been my go-to body brand for a couple of years now and my previous HG body lotion was Creme de Corps Light-Weight Body Lotion also from Kiehls. When the argan body lotion was announced, I went to my nearest Kiehls store immediately to try it out. Buttery smooth with a hygienic applicator that sinks into my skin within minutes, I fell in love immediately. The lotion DOES leave my skin looking smooth and radiant right after application, but as the hours trickled by, my skin slowly started to lose the “glow” I initially had (understandable, as does most lotions).
I have dry and sensitive skin and I was afraid the scent would be too heavy for me (I usually start getting a rash after using Body Shop products), however, having trusted Kiehls for a while, I was not too worried and my faith in them paid off. The scent though a bit overwhelming at first, faded away after around half an hour. I have been using my Superbly Restorative Argan Body Lotion for about 2 weeks now and being winter, I find that this lotion was extremely effective in soothing my dry and sometimes itchy skin. Though it is touted as being a lotion, it feels extremely light-weight with an almost gel-like consistency.
To further enhance the effect of my lotion, I sometimes use Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Skin Salve as well on my extremely dry areas (elbows, shin, kneecaps) BEFORE putting on the lotion allover. Overall, the product might be considered slightly pricey for some ($35USD for 6.8 fl. oz.), but having used Kiehls for a while this price seemed relatively average.
YES I do recommend this lotion to everyone of all skin types, especially for this dry winter. Argan oil is FAMOUS for it’s antioxidant properties and everyone I’ve recommended it to has LOVED it. I find it rare to find products with Argan oil outside of Kiehls, and I know that this will be my HG body lotion for a good while!

This body lotion is supposed to restore radiance, but I don’t see any difference. I do like how it absorbs quickly and does not make you feel oily or greasy. It’s a very lightweight body lotion so I end up using quite a bit of it. it has a nice citrus like smell. I like how it has an easy pump applicator. Overall, an average moisturizer. But I’m still looking for a better body lotion…
