This is the best cream ever. I really like the formula. It hydrates my skin and leaves a scent during the whole day. The scent is very light but I notice it. My skin is very soft. It’s a bit pricey, but given the fact that I really like it and I haven’t found something which scent will last during the whole day, it’s worth it. I will buy it again.

I love how light texture and subtle scent of the lotion are. The whipped-like texture makes me feel pampered everytime i put it on my body. It does moisturize well enough for an office girl like me who has to stay put working in an air-conditioner a whole day, 5days a week. I am quite a subtle girl when talking about scents and perfume. This lotion has a light subtle scent of the camillia. Not overpowering at all but it lasts long thrugh out the day. The scent is just light that lingers on my skin. And It leaves my skin feel cool for a few minutes after the applicaion, which is quite suit for summertime in my country. No greasy feeling afterwards. OK… It tends towards a little pricey though but it lasts me a couple of months for a jar. So definitely I repurchase again and again.

I have dry skin with a touch of seborrheic dermatitis and adore this cream. It has a velvety texture and smells incredible. It keeps me hydrated all day and the smell lingers subtly on my clothes and sheets. It is not sickly sweet but reminiscent of an expensive perfume, like byredo or something. I have been using Ren moisturisers so the price of this is actually more reasonable. I find it richer than the Ren ones and don’t need to use as much. The packaging is attractive and durable (I dropped it on a tile floor and it didn’t crack). It doesn’t leak in my suitcase or melt in the tropics, I am sold.
I have not tried it on my face but on the rest of my body it is non reactive and comfy for my sensitive skin. Aveda and other high end heavily fragranced body moisturisers sometimes make me itch or give me eczema…Nothing works as good a coconut oil in my opinion but if you want a little luxury or a new fragrance sensation (I have never smelled anything like this before) this stuff rocks !!

HG body cream! Love the consistency and the effect – makes my dry skin super smooth and hydrated! And the smell? Amazing, like expensive SPA.
LOVE LOVE LOVE! The price is worth it for what it does.

I’m going to use pretty much the same review I’m posting my Hawaiian Kukui Cream review because outside of smell and consistency, both of these products had the same results with me.
First, let me get the price out of the way – this is an expensive cream. The reason why I personally am okay with paying $36 for 12 oz is because I’m lazy. If this cream didn’t smell and work as good as it does, I wouldn’t be using it out of sheer laziness, and I would continue to have dry skin. This has really helped me take better care of my body skin because I want to use it. Also, you don’t need a whole lot, especially if you smooth it on while you’re skin is still wet. It’s a crazy price, but damn, is this stuff good!
It absorbs nicely into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling sticky. It also absorbs pretty quickly, so you don’t have to worry about waiting around for it to sink in. The consistency of this one is more like a mousse. It’s lightweight, and smooths on nicely.
The smell is absolutely divine!!! I cannot stress this enough, the smell is fantastic. It’s floraly and lingers for hours after you apply. My jammies and bed sheets constantly smell amazing because of this stuff! My boyfriend even loves it because the smell lingers in bed and he loves waking up to it. Also, even if you don’t smell it on you for the whole day, when you go to take a shower, the hot water and steam kind of revive it, and you’ll be smelling it as you shower. You can also feel the layer of cream on your skin because it feels a little slick, so you can tell it just overall have fantastic staying power.
My skin stay hydrated all day, and I’ve even gone a day without using this, and my skin still felt amazing. It just melts into your skin and leaves a nice barrier of moisture that lasts so long.
This is definitely a splurge item. There are plenty of other lotions that can do as good a job as this, but if you’re like me and need something that’s quality enough to help you keep a routine, then get this! The price will sting at first, but after your first use, you’ll be too relaxed and happy with the product to be mad. For me, the fact that it delivers AND helps me take better care of my skin is reason enough to justify the price.

This has a flowey fragrance and lasts . Which is great cuz I love this smell. And this body cream leaves no residual nor sticky.
The humidity is still high here so I don’t know the moistuzing effect. Will update later.

I’ve long been a fan of the body butters from The Body Shop, especially the shea and nut butters – because they are so richly moisturizing for winter-dried skin and they smell almost good enough to eat. But I hadn’t been into a store for a while but went in the other day to buy some of their muslin cloths and a facial buffer and tried this and was instantly SOLD by the texture, the scent and the way my arms felt when I rubbed some on. This runs a bit pricier than their standard body butters but still not bad enough to break the bank. I think I know now what I’ll be getting some of my friends (also TBS fans) for Christmas. A warning, though – the scent is much more noticeable than with some of their other body butters and it seems to last for quite a while. That might be a deal breaker for some. Fortunately, I love how it smells and, so far, no one around me has complained either.
Edit: October 2019 – this lovely cream has become a “go to” for me since initially buying it 3 years ago. But I recently picked up a jar to give as a gift to my trainer at the gym and she absolutely adores it – both the scent and how it softens her skin. I hope The Body Shop keeps this lovely product around forever.

I received a small free sample of this product yesterday with my purchase. It has a whipped texture which makes it very soft and easy to apply to your skin and it absorbs very quickly and easily. I found the smell a bit strong at first as I usually don’t use products with a fragrance but I noticed the second time I used it I didn’t find it as strong. The smell on your skin is really soft and light and I really enjoy it which was a very pleasant surprise. I can’t wait to go back and purchase the full-size jar.

Why are there only 5 stars? I need at least 2 more.
I used to hate ALL kinds of body moisturizers. I love the cleanliness of skin after a shower; anything i put on my skin made me feel dirty and oily again. I tried lotions, creams, sprays and even the most famous body butters of body shop and all of these made me feel icky.
Until today i tried to put some of this on.
This is the fastest absorbing moisturizer i EVER used. I could feel it sinking into my hand within 10 seconds or so. It also has a very pleasant whipped consistency that makes it very easy to spread over a large part of skin. After it sinks in, it leaves a silky surface on skin that doesn’t grab onto clothing.
When applying, my whole room smelled like a massage room in a spa, very delightful. The smell isn’t waxy or synthetic. After the pleasant perfume dies down, what’s left behind is how natural oils smell like after they’ve been on your hair for a few days. It’s not as good as the perfume itself but not bad either; at least it feels natural.
It is kinda expensive but you get a lot of product. The jar itself is huge and holds 12 Oz (350 ml) of cream. I believe that’s almost double the amount of a regular body butter.
The ingredients list doesn’t look too bad either; First 4 are water and natural butters and oils. I don’t see talc, mica and parabens on the list. I also don’t see any silicones either (at least there is no word that ends with -cone).
The jar looks very luxurious despite being plastic. Dark semi- see-through packaging protects the natural oils from light. It’s also sturdy and easy to open and securely closes. The only improvement would be a bit of texture around the outside of cap to make it easier to hold if hands are slippery from creams and oils.
I wish this would be permanent part of their collection. I’m thinking about buying another one with different scent. I also wish they came up with shower gel and eau de toilette to compliment.
10/10 would recommend!
