A year or two ago, I started (in earnest) wearing sunscreen every day on all exposed parts of my body. I never knew what to do after washing my hands, though, and happened to her about Supergoop on a podcast I listen to. I bought the hand cream and am so happy with it. It has a nice, light smell, leaves my hands very soft, and the skinny packaging is cute/fits in my makeup pouch. Now I reapply after washing my hands throughout the day and feel confident my hands are getting as much protection as the rest of me. Will repurchase.

I had been on the hunt for a high-SPF (more than 30) hand cream that actually moisturized for years. Neutrogena has made a couple over the years, but they are inevitably discontinued. Finally I found this and decided to try the travel size in the tube, which is very small but super convenient for handbags, beach bags, diaper bags, and carry-ons. It has a fragrance that reminds me, oddly, of nutmeg with a hint of lilac. Weird, I know. It moisturizes pretty well, though not as deeply as my current nighttime favorite Skinfix Ultra Rich Hand Cream. But I love that it has SPF 40 and isn’t greasy! I have several of the little tubes to throw in every bag imaginable and pump bottles in my bathroom and my kitchen. I really hope this is never discontinued!

While this has great ingredients that helps keep your hands looking and feeling young, I just am too turned off by the prominent sunscreen smell. Some people aren’t bothered by it so I think it’s a very personal thing and many others don’t even notice the scent. My more detailed review video is below.

I’d purchased this hand cream by mistake, thinking that it was sunscreen for the face. Well, I tried it anyway, and I’m so glad that I did.
I have dry skin and use Retin A cream nightly. Sometimes, my skin just gets very dry, even though I have a very thorough and strict regimen, and I’ll get flakey, peeling skin between my brows, around my eyes, high up on the tops of my cheekbones, around my nostrils (very badly), corners of my mouth (very badly), and on my chin below my bottom lip (very badly). I think sometimes it may be caused by hormonal changes, drops in temperature, and if I use any kind of harsh cleaning chemicals-it just wreaks havoc on my dry skin! Despite using chemical and physical exfoliation methods and intensely hydrating products, the flakes will show back up within 30 minutes. When the flakes hit and nothing else works, this Supergoop Hand Cream comes to my rescue. I’ve had flakey and peeling skin on 3 occasions (each occurrence lasting 2-3 days) since I bought this, and it’s worked every single time! My dry, flakey, and peeling skin didn’t come back up after applying this, and I was able to wear foundation without flakes cropping up the whole day! I don’t know how and why this hand cream works like magic for me, but it does!
This feels extremely hydrating on the skin. The cream is a bit on the thicker side, and it spreads very nicely and easily. It sinks in immediately. I noticed a very light scent, which is pleasant and disappears quickly. I like this squeeze tube packaging. I am able to successfully wear foundation over this without any problems.
I know this review is not about using this hand cream for its intended purpose, but I just had to share this miraculous discovery, in hopes that it might help someone else in this same situation. I will always have a tube of this on hand in my arsenal, just in case my skin gets the peeling flakes! I will repurchase and do recommend giving it a try. I really wish I knew exactly why it works so well-maybe it’s the Sea Buckthorn. I’m currently researching products that contain that.

This is a nice, rich hand cream with a light, sunscreen-y scent. A bit too pricey, though, and I’m not sure if I have a need for a separate SPF hand cream.

I totally love this hand cream, it’s my go to. I bought it for the spf. It is almost fragrance free, it doesn’t have a floral smell. It’s also not greasy or sticky. I buy in bulk and put it on at work, I will be a forever customer!

I love this hand cream. It’s thick and moisturizing, but doesn’t leave my hands greasy. It has a light, sort of herbal (?) scent that is addictive. And the SPF is very high. For some reason, it’s very difficult to find hand creams that have any amount of sun protection, let alone anything above SPF 15.
I also like the slim squeeze bottle, which makes it easy to slip into even a very small purse. The one drawback is that the portable size is only 1 oz. which is way too small. Especially for the price ($12). I’ve already repurchased, but I will keep an eye out for less expensive options as well.

I received a sample of this from Birchbox, and although the SPF is great, this product does have some downsides.
I always use hand cream with SPF as I am prone to dark spots and I am also very pale (NC15). I use SPF on my hands before driving, before going outdoors (even if it’s just for a few minutes) and I use it in the office all day, so I am constantly on the look-out for non-greasy high SPF products.
This does have a slight white cast when applying, which is something that I don’t suppose really matters in a hand cream, but it does disappear very fast. It is non-greasy, and also doesn’t leave my hands shiny and sticky like some sunscreens can.
But this product has a strange, almost medicinal fragrance which I can’t quite identify, but I don’t particularly like it. This is what puts me off the product entirely. A fragrance free version would be a HG for me, but I can’t get over how this fragrance really lingers.
I am glad that I tried this but I won’t be buying a full size of it. My HG hand care product is by L’Occitane (Immortelle SPF20) and even though the SPF is lower, I don’t think I can improve on this one.

I bought this hand cream because of the high SPF. I’ve seen the hands of many sun worshippers, and the hands are one of the first parts of the body to show age, if you don’t protect them from the sun. I like it–it is rich and thick, absorbs quickly, and there’s no sticky residue. However, it has fragrance, and it’s pretty strong. That is the one negative for me. I would be afraid to use it and then touch anything, like my face, or my eyes. But I will definitely use it when I will be outdoors. Price is a little steep too–1 oz. is $12 and 10 oz. is $34.
