This is great on dry winter hands. It has a runny texture, sinks in, and zero scent. It also irks like a creamy oil in the shower and locks in moisture. Worth the money.

I have dry skin & my toddler has bad eczema. The cerave cream plus coconut oil moisturized her skin ok, but was too thick to spread quickly & burned any irritated areas on her skin. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!!!
You have to be super careful not to squeeze too hard or way too much comes out. It’s like a lotion & an oil had a baby! I have been mixing lotions & oils for years for my skin & they never turn out like this. I use from head to toe now, & I have very sensitive skin that breaks out when I put anything different on it! I don’t use daily on my face bc I am scared, but I’ve tried it a few times w no issues yet. Fingers crossed.
I use coconut oil on my body usually. This stuff takes a lot longer to sink in my skin, but I feel so soft after! So glad I tried it.

I bought CeraVe Eczema Soothing Creamy Oil on a whim–not because I have eczema, but because I have profoundly itchy skin on my lower legs, and also sometimes have bouts of dermatitis of unknown origin. I must say that this creamy oil was super at soothing my skin problems, and promoted rapid healing with daily use. It never stung my irritated areas like some lotions do, and kept my skin hydrated for 24 hours or more. I only ever used it on my body, which unfortunately means the 8 ounce bottle didn’t go very far with regular use.
The product consistency is somewhat fluid (like Elmer’s Glue), white in color, and with a natural fragrance-free scent that is a bit nutty, probably due to the high content of plant oils. The packaging has a one-way valve in the cap, which lets lotion out when you squeeze the tube, but then stops flowing when the pressure is released off the tube. This makes it a bit difficult if to get more out of the tube with greasy hands, so the best approach for me was to squeeze out as much as I thought I needed before rubbing it onto skin. There is a bit of drag on the skin when applying, so using a very generous amount also made it easier to spread. It did take a while to sink in, but when I used it on my legs, I still got the moisture locked in very well when I put socks on soon after applying the lotion.
I would definitely repurchase this creamy oil, but it wasn’t very practical for covering large areas of the body. I think if I do buy it again, it would be more for occasional treatment of flare-ups, or perhaps on smaller areas like neck and face. It is just too expensive to use it as a daily body lotion.

This is among the very few moisturizers I can use on my face when I have sensitivity from chemical peels (BHAs, AHAs) and Vitamin C. This calms everything right down, really to an amazing degree. The scent is very mild. (It’s fragrance free but smells kind of oily from the ingredients.) The texture is liquidy. It might be the only think I don’t like, as its a little hard to control the amount dispensed. Superior soothing ability.

The older I get the less excited I get about “skincare-tainment” products and the more into boring, clinical type ones. Frankly when you feel death’s cold hand reaching out for you, you no longer have time to smell like Fruity Pebbles and would really just like something that is going to keep my skin healthy and resilient. And yes, okay, I’m only in my mid-30’s and that might be slightly dramatic, but I’ve definitely seen my skin change and age in the last few years and while I take really good care of my face I’m less diligent about my body, and it’s probably time I do something about that. So. CeraVe Eczema Soothing Creamy Oil. First things first: I do not have eczema. I do however, have very dry, itchy skin that is starting to show the first signs of aging. This has excellent ingredients including 4 different plant oils (safflower, olive, avocado, and grapeseed) as well as ceramides, glycerin, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, and cholesterol – all of which are excellent for nourishing and protecting your moisture barrier and providing skin with the building blocks it needs to be healthy. The tube container is ideal because this has the consistency of a slightly liquid-y sunscreen. Unfortunately, it does not spread easily or rub in quickly. It’s thick and slightly tacky, but oddly doesn’t feel heavy and after a few minutes I don’t feel it at all. By the time I wake up the next morning (I shower right before bed) it’s completely absorbed, and leaves my skin nourished and healthy while feeling like there’s nothing on it at all. And it keeps me itch-free for a solid 24 hours, which is a nice change. Also, I’m not really sensitive to fragrance, but this is truly unscented meaning it doesn’t have that weird chemical smell so many products try to cover up with perfume. The only thing I don’t like about it is the price; $18 + tax for and eight ounce tube is, well, a lot. On the other hand, it’s a really great product that my skin seems to love, so I’m sure I’ll buy it again.
