Yummy and delicious! The first time I had a sniff of this was not good! I was in a TBS store and it must have been an old jar that had been sat around for ages, people dipping their fingers in every day. Whatever the reason it smelt very strange and artificial. On a whim, just as I was purchasing the Banana shower cream at checkout I asked the SA if she had a new jar of the yogurt she could open and there it was…love at first sniff! Nothing like the testers’ fragrance.
Keep in mind this isn’t a ‘true’ banana fragrance, it’s more like a banana milkshake with a slightly caramel-y undertone which I can definitely detect a few hours after applying, in fact it starts to morph into a caramel as the day wears on. You don’t need to apply whilst your skin is damp as the instructions state…I slather it on any time of the day, often just to my wrists and neck purely for the fragrance factor, because this is one super-concentrated aroma! And it will definitely turn heads! The texture is like a watery gel, similar to Clinique’s DDMG for those who’ve tried that. Dries pretty much instantly and sufficiently moisturizing for my skin but wouldn’t recommend for dry skin, go with the body butter if you are dry.
The whole ‘unsanitary jar’ thing doesn’t bother me with this not being intended for facial use. The only thing that does bother me is it’s a limited edition and I cannot find it at my local store. Here’s to hoping I can track this down before it’s gone…
