I was really excited to try this foundation, it turned out to be okay. It gave some coverage, i had the lightest shade and it was a bit too dark for me. It didn’t reduce the fine lines under my eyes, like it promised. It felt good on my skin though and was easy to blend.
It didn’t slide around on my face, but would disappear around my t-zone sometimes, especially on my nose. I would buy it again if I were a bit more tan and wasn’t in need of a more covering foundation because of the redness on my cheeks.

I’ve had this in my foundation collection for a long time, but I hadn’t used it in a good while for two reasons. Firstly, I have it in a shade or two darker than my pale winter skin (02 Sand), and secondly, I thought I remembered not liking it when I last used it. But lately I’ve had way more dry patches than I usually have and I found that a lot of my foundations really exaggerated those, so I tured to this thinking it was the “oiliest”/most moisturizing out of the bunch. And it kind of blew my mind how good of a fit this foundation was for my skin. And just how good of a foundation it is, period.
I used a stipple brush in order to sheer it out a bit and try not to make it as obvious that it’s slightly too dark for me right now, and I soon remembered what had made me think that I disliked it the last time around. It is definitely a little bit hard to blend out. It’s on the oilier side and it tends to stick to where you put it, if that makes sense. I find that you need to work a little bit harder to get an even application than with some other foundations, but if you take that extra care to lay down an even base, you’re set. Quite literally. I set it with powder by basically pressing some onto my t-zone with a fluffy brush, and only lightly dusting the excess on my brush onto the rest of my face. And my faced looked flawless all day! It gave a satin look and just the right amount of glow, and I honestly don’t think my skin has looked this good with any foundation I’ve used for the past year.
When looking the foundation up, I realised that it has hyaluronic acid in it, which I think definitely helped giving me the healthy, glowing look by plumping my skin a bit. I can see where the name of the foundation comes from – I definitely look more aware and alert than I am in the morning when I’ve done my makeup using this. The dry patches that other foundations have exaggerated were just barely visible, and I didn’t feel dry at the end of the day when I washed the makeup off.
The description says that it’s a medium coverage – I would say it’s light to medium applied with a beauty sponge, and buildable to medium with a brush. It still lets some of your own skin shine through. It also says that it’s suitable for all skin types, but I don’t think that’s true about many foundations overall, and surely not about this one in particular. If you have oily skin, I can’t imagine this foundation working very well for you. But people with dry, normal and combination skin that isn’t crazy oily in the t-zone should definitely consider giving this a try. Especially during the winter months.
Summed up:
+ Cruelty free
+ Vegan
+ Satin finish that makes you look naturally healthy
+ Not drying in the slightest, perhaps thanks to the hyaluronic acid
+ Stays put all day, doesn’t “slide around” on my t-zone and cheeks the way some foundations do after 5+ hours
+ SPF 20
+ The frosted glass bottle feels more luxurious than the price tag indicates, and the pump works well
+ Fragrance free (whole brand)
– Kind of sticky consistency that makes it slightly hard to blend. In no way impossible, but it takes a little more work than some other foundations I use
– Limited shade range – only 6 shades as far as I can tell and especially lacking in shades for deeper skin tones. The lightest shade is also a bit too warm-toned for me.
