Background: I’ve extremely oily skin on my t-zone with mix dry patches, and a couple of hormonal blemishes from time to time and rosacea.
I hate almost everything about this foundation. And I’m not even one of those people that said that the old formula has way better, I didn’t even tried it.
First, the shades ! In my country they don’t have the first two lightest shades. So I tryed the SB40 Medium Ivory, it was so yellow that I had to returned it. Then I bought the SB60, because I was determine to have this foundation, which of course has so dark for me. But I mixed a 1/2 drops of the Body Shop Lightening Shade Adjusting Drops, and I found my shade.
So 1* for the selection of shades.
This foundation last about 2 to 3 hours on me until it becomes an oily mess. The thing that I was most annoyed is that it will fade so quickly and only my pores will have foundation that I didn’t have the opportunity to do a little blotting etc to make it last all day.
The really test is the waterproof test. I spend all afternoon on a pool, and I must say that by the end of the day I still could see some foundation left. But I know that there are other foundations out there that don’t claim to be waterproof and they will preform as well.
And for sweat, I didn’t see any difference what’s so ever.
To finish, It doens’t look too good on dry patches, it will break very easy there. It’s max medium coverage, I still could see some of my rosacea. And it settles on my fine lines.
I don’t recommend this foundation to anyone.

I got this as a bonus gift when I purchased the compact version so I can not give a review on the price. But I will try to give as many info on the product itself.
The product is more liquid than other foundations that I usually use (e.g. Diorskin Nude), I apply it with a stipple brush and get a really nice even look, like airbrushed. I did not even try to put it on with a beauty blender bc I have the feeling that I could never wash it off. I put all my foundation on a small clean mirror first and then dip the brush, and this one is the hardest to clean afterwards. And I use alcohol to clean it!! so thank god that clarisonic takes good care of removing it from my face – it sticks to it like crazy.
Yes, that means that I can go running around the city all day in extreme temperatures and humidity and it wil not come off or smudge or get patchy, but it feels like too much weight for my skin on everyday basis.
It also enhances my thin lines a bit, but I don’t have many so I don’t care 🙂
The compact version has been my go-to summer foundation for years and I think I will stick to it rather than using the liquid one.
The color (dark ivory) is something I am really happy with bc it is the exact tone of my skin when I get a tan.
I also like how my other products build on it – sometimes i have a feeling that the foundation and the blush for example just do not fit together and I can’t blend them nicely, but this one is great base for all my other make up products.
I think this would be a great fit for someone with oily skin looking for a full coverage during summer.
For me it’s a bit too heavy, but a good option for a clubbing night or a summer wedding.

I have oily skin, but this made my skin dry. This made me look older because it accentuated every line on my face. It also accentuated any roughness (that you couldn’t see until putting this on). Then I began getting extremely stubborn cystic acne on my chin that I’ve never had before. This was horrible for my skin.

This is the best foundation I have ever used. I am NC20-NC25 and SP50, is a perfect match.
I live in Houston, Texas and this foundation holds up during the long, hot, and humid Summers. It also, does not make me break out.

Pros:
– Love the high-SPF.
– Great for light to moderate coverage, and lasts all day.
– Color matches my extremely fair skin nicely, which can be hard for me to find.
– Feels nourishing; never breaks out my dry/sensitive skin.
– Feels lightweight on my face.
Cons:
– I’m not sure about the buildability of this foundation. I prefer only a moderate coverage, so I don’t usually try to build much, but I could see that being an issue with this product.
– I have very dry skin, and sometimes applying this foundation emphasizes the rough/dry patches on my face. I can usually minimize this issue by applying Aquaphor directly to dry patches before applying foundation. Unfortunately, I experience the same issue with other foundations I have tried, so I don’t see that as a reason to switch. Taken together, this is still my favorite foundation. But if I could find a foundation that didn’t emphasize dryness, I would consider a switch.
Overall, I like this foundation and will repurchase.

I love this foundation! I have oily skin and this product lasts all day long on my face. It doesn’t transfer and doesn’t change the color. The best application is with my fingers. It seems your own skin.
EDIT 04/2019: Now that i am older, it looks a little bit dryer end artificial, makes me look older…

I am always on the lookout for a foundation with high SPF. I work as a professional Nanny and I am often outside in the Australian sun. I purchased this in “medium ivory” and my first impression was really good. The foundation was very runny, so I thought it was going to blend really well. The colour was probably a bit darker than I would expect from a product labelled “ivory”.
OK, so I apply this in little dots all over my face and get to work with the Beauty Blender. I could immediately tell while I was bouncing the Beauty Blender that this was not going to blend easily. The colour was great for my fair skin, but the application was difficult. This applies like a full coverage foundation. I used a tiny amount and it covered everything!!!! However, the finished look was quite mask like. I agree with other comments here that it is quite chalky. I applied it to bare skin – no primer, no sunscreen or moisturiser.
This is a strange foundation. In full sunlight, you can definitely see it, but it is quite flattering on my skin. I think that’s because it makes the skin very even in colour. I would compare it to leg makeup as the finished effect is very similar.
I wont purchase this again, but I will probably finish the bottle. I just think it is too expensive, too difficult to apply and there are better high SPF foundations out there.

I was a huge fan of the original formula, but this one not so much. The old formula lasted much longer and didn’t break out my skin. This new one flared up my acne so badly I had huge cystic bumps on my chin. Very disappointed! while the old formula of controlled my oil this one made it worse. if you are acne prone stay away because there is so much silicone it Slides off your T Zones.

Another reviewer summed it up perfectly: chalky. I took a picture of myself and I literally looked 20 years older than normal. I have dry, sensitive skin, and while it didn’t break me out, it sat on top of my skin like a dry, cakey mask. I couldn’t WAIT to wash my face and take it off. I also have a very sensitive nose, and I could smell it on my face for several hours after application.

this is for the reformulated one, which is in the exact same bottle, with 30spf.
I CANT RAVE ENOUGH FOR THIS PRODUCT.
my absolute go-to for hot, humid weather.
my skin is comb. tends to be very sweaty and oily in hot weather and almost dehydrated in cold winter.
it has a watery consistancy, but THE best coverage you can imagine, settles into pores (i have lots) dissareapering them, doesn’t wash off by sweat, just becomes dewy and fresh!!! i couldn’t believe the fresh and young looking skin i have with a longwear foundation plus the filters!!!!
i really can ;t live without this and the matching tinted stick that i use as a concealer, during hot greek summer!!!
i m fair- medium and use the 50 shade.
