I saw a tester of it in my local mall which was shade 402,way toooo dark for my NC15-20 skin, still I tried it out of curiosity.it’s the only Dior foundation,I’d better say one of very rare foundations in the world! that sits well on my super dehydrated, dry skin.almost all foundations stick to my dry patches(no matter how much I moisturize before applying them) and look dry, powdery, flakey on some parts and cakey on other parts but not this one! it seemed to be very moisturizing but not one of those thick and heavy balmy moisturizing foundations which I hate.it was easy to blend and gave a nice dewy finish to my skin without emphasizing pores and fine lines.couverage seemed to be buildable, from medium to full, still it didn’t feel heavy even a bit
I loved it so much that couldn’t wait to buy it even though Dior foundations are too expensive for my budget but Makeup Assistant told me they don’t have it anymore and it’s not produced anymore,I even asked them to sell me a sample but that dark colored sample was the only available one
I’m so sad now.why such an amazing foundation is discontinued??

Loved this product! Unfortunately, Dior stopped making it. I’ve tried other Dior foundations but they are all too drying. I’m going to try Georgio Armani satin foundation. Hopefully it will be as good as Dior.

I hate the smell, so far since make up forever changed there foundation formula I am on the search for a new foundation. This is decent, I may buy again if I cant find anything better, I really do not like the scent, it is floral-y. Coverage is decent, not a real issue there.

As you can see by the picture above, this is an older Dior foundation. I remember buying it in the early 2000’s when “dewy skin” was all the rage. This essentially gives you a glow, but more like “wet” looking skin than today’s current foundations that use radiance to give a glow. This is good for dry skin, nice medium to full coverage. However, the one major flaw for me is the overwhelming fragrance in this foundation. it’s not nice and it REALLY stinks.

I have tried the Dior skin Nude , Diorskin Forever. And Diorskin Star, all contain alcohol so they felt tight and drying in the long run…what on earth does Dior put alcohol in those foundations!?
Anyhow, Eclat Satin doesn’t contain any, it goes on light and mousturizing, provides good coverage without looking made up, or heavy..I use the color 220 which is peach. Well, it is basically a pretty neutral beige..the foundation has a typical Dior smell, I like it , it doesn’t bother me..
For normal to dry skins this is a must have..oily skins might find it too shiny though..unless you use powder on top..
Great foundation

I was so disappointed no shade of Teint Dior Eclat Satin Foundation matched my skin tone. Shade either too light, or too pinkish and dark.
I gave this foundation four lippies because it is sold with a pump (hygienic and less messy), glides over skin like, well ~ satin. Once applied, it didn’t make my skin feel dry, didn’t settle into fine lines and evened out my skin tone without the help of concealer on my cheeks before applying foundation. Coverage is medium to full without looking cakey and over made-up. Finish is a very slight dewey look, but rest assured, it isn’t the gooey dewey look and feel.
Excellent foundation; however, I will not repurchase because I cannot get a good match with this foundation. If Dior adds more shades to this line, I will not only repurchase, but become a Dior foundation loyalist!

I absolutely adore this foundation. I went to the Dior counter at my local department store and asked for a medium-full coverage foundation with a dewy finish and she recommended this one to me.
Coverage: Medium. I wouldn’t say full with one layer, but it’s buildable so you can definitely have full coverage if you want. I usually put one full layer on, and then another layer over areas where I need a bit more and it covers them really well.
Finish: Dewy dewy dewy! Just what I asked for. I have dry skin and I put this on with a moisturizer and without a moisturizer. Honestly, I didn’t need a moisturizer with it, it came out really dewy and refreshing without it. Therefore, if you have oily skin, I wouldn’t recommend it for you.
Price: It cost me $47. Very pricy but it is worth it to me for the quality. Besides, foundations usually last a long time for me because I don’t use them every day and when I do use them, I don’t use more than a pump and a half.
Packaging: Comes with a pump, a definite plus. The pump also has very good control and it’s easy to get the exact amount you need.
Color Range: I have this in shade 202, I think it is the second to lightest shade. From what I saw, this has the same range as the other Dior foundations… so a good range, there.
Negatives- Has a bit of a smell, but I, personally, don’t have a problem with fragrance in my cosmetics. The smell isn’t bad, but it may be strong if your sensitive to that kind of thing. I wouldn’t count that as a negative for me though. The price also may be a bit high, but, again, worth it in my opinion.
I would definitely buy this foundation again, it is HG status for me. Perfect for something with great coverage and a dewy finish, a difficult combination to find. Highly recommended!

Coverage- decent (will not hide ur red pimples) but even out skin tone. Finish- fresh dewy- sometimes looks over glossy like sweat. Hold- semi decent, slides off through out the day. SMELL- ATROCIOUS!!!! good god, what were they thinking about this smell? like medicated baby powder and cheap floral perfume- gave me a headache had to wash my face. thank god this was a sample.

I am a faithful user of the infamous Dior Airflash aerosol spray foundation and I’ve tried Eclat Satin, Forever, and Nude. If you have dry skin and liked Diorskin Nude but found it to lack coverage, Eclat Satin is for you. It’s basically full coverage for dry skin, with a dewy finish. Very blendable and silky. I have oily skin, so I don’t use this anymore. But when I was living in a bitter cold arctic climate during winter, I used this on my drier skin.
For those of you unfamiliar with Dior’s foundations, in a nutshell, it breaks down like this:
– Diorskin Eclat Satin – dry skin; medium-full coverage
– Diorskin Nude – normal-dry skin; light-medium coverage
– Diorskin Forever – normal-oily skin; medium-full coverage
– Diorskin Airflash – normal-oily skin; customizable coverage as this is an aerosol can spray (*colors in this do NOT align with colors in other Dior foundations)
I haven’t tried Diorskin Sculpt (supposed to be for mature skin with lines) or Capture Totale (supposed to be a serum that blurs out imperfections).

This is currently the foundation I am using and I really like it. It evens out my skin tone and makes my skin look refreshed and dewy. It applies evenly and easily, does not cake and looks very natural. The coverage is light to medium and does not make me look overly done up. I use a damp sponge when applying it to get light coverage for that perfect everyday glow and I love it!
As a side note, my mom who is in her late 40s also uses this foundation and I can always tell when she has it on because her skin looks younger and has a healthy smooth glow.
The only CON I can think of at this time is that it does have a fairly lasting fragrance. This wouldn’t really be an issue if I liked the smell but unfortunately I am not a big fan. Other than that, I can’t think of too many cons. It’s pricey but the bottle lasts me a very long time.
