   I have oily skin with many closed comedones and slight redness on my cheeks, dark circles beneath my eyes and clogged pores; I get a few breakouts here and there but my main issue is more with skin texture and quality, rather than acne. I accidentally bought this product thinking it was full-coverage foundation (oops!), so I obviously was a bit confused at first when it did little to nothing to mask my abysmal complexion! I would apply their Concealer Duo under my eyes and on particularly red spots and blemish, then use a makeup sponge to apply the foundation, and it wiped it all the concealer, doing nothing but leaving behind a slightly more greasy version of my original skin!

   That being said I 100% DO NOT blame the product, it was my fault (as I am very new to makeup) for not really knowing what “sheer tint foundation” meant. Mineral Fusion is a fantastic brand, and I am quite sure this product would be fantastic for someone looking for a light coverage product; it is very hydrating (good for those with with skin on the dryer side), and although it doesn’t provide me with the coverage I need, it still did a good job giving my face a more even color. I would recommend applying this foundation with your fingers, opposed to a sponge (the sponge seemed to absorb the majority of the product), and maybe pair with a primer with a matte effect. Also, I recently purchased their full coverage foundation and have had great success with it (will be posting a review for that one as well), so if your skin is a bit more oily/acne prone I would say go for that one opposed to this one. But, I will be keeping this guy around, just in case my skin ever clears up. 🙂

   Let me first say that I have pale, yellow-beige toned skin, typically going for the second to the lightest shade selection when there are a lot of foundation shades to choose from. Having said this, the color, Warm is very dark for me out of the bottle/tube. This is where the name “Sheer Tint” comes into play because it is a really sheer tint of coverage and is a really quick product for me to apply. I don’t love it with a brush or a sponge as the effect is to dark, but I love to place a bit in the palm of my hands and apply it like lotion, really working it into my face. It still looks dark after this, but then I use a sponge to blend it in, as well as taking off some as well I assume. This sheers it out to the perfect color for me, with a lovely dewy texture that I adore. it does a great job of covering small imperfections as well as becoming a base for concealers in problem areas, like my chin. It does not break me out and I don’t need a primer under it as the ingredients, I believe are primer-like already. I do see this as a good skin foundation, ladies who need more coverage may not approve, but this foundation really works for me. It is super messy the way a glob shoots out of the bottle and I would LOVE to see it in a lighter shade because it is really to dark for most to wear without really working at it, but still quite easy to apply after some trial and error. I reach of this every day and will need to by more soon. I do wish it was easier to get out of the bottle as it is easy to get too much out of the hards plastic bottle/tube but plan on wearing this foundation into the future.

   Matte foundation, covers dark eye circles but doesn’t cake or crack. I use a homemade mixture of coconut oil, rose water, aloe and a touch of olive oil, before I put foundation on.
   I have psoriasis at my hairline and the foundation covers it, no irritation. After hours the foundation is still covering my face evenly. I have ethnicity based dark circles and I do find I am touching up my eyes half way thru my work day.

   I read the review from big trout that bashed this product and I have to say that the reason she put down for this product being “trash” are not valid. First of all, she states that she had to put on a ton of it to produce any coverage and when she was done it looked like Crisco. If she had read the description she would have read that this is LIGHT coverage make up. So if she was looking for a medium to full coverage foundation this obviously would not be the product for her. Also, this product is made for DRY skin. If you already have oily skin then why would you buy this? I can imagine her face did look like Crisco if she put on layer after layer trying to get full coverage (when it is not meant for that) and she has oily skin on top of that. It is not fair to say this product is garbage just because you, big trout, didn’t bother to read the description about the product. You chose the wrong product for your skin. That’s all. It doesn’t make this product trash. It just wasn’t right for you. If you wanted something for oily skin that’s full coverage you used have purchased the loose powder from Mineral Fusion and they have very light colors for light skin.

   This product is garbage and that’s exactly where I threw this $30 bottle of makeup after the second use. First of all the lighest color is so dark you would have to have a full on summer tan which I am trying to avoid because of sun damage. Nothing light enough for the average person. When I applied it I had to apply a lot of get coverage and as soon as I put it on it looked like I had put on crisco. It was soooooo shiny and oily looking. Horrible! Then I thought I could set it with powder and it might take away the shine and all that did was make it look muddy, dirty and uneven like I had been working in the dirt all day and it got all over my face. It was a horror show. After putting on my regular creams, sunscreen, foundation and powder I made the decision to wash it all off and start ALL over again. I was so mad. What a huge waste of time and $30. I threw it in the garbage and felt glad that it was out of my life and I am the cheapest person I know. I always find a way to use up less than desirable products, but this truely belonged in the trash!

   I could not believe the reviews on this product,i guess everyone is different. I actually have it on right now,i get off work in one hr and my face is (and has been) an oil slick all day long! Sooo greasy,and the shade neutral….so yellow,all 3 colors are soo yellow.
   This is huge no for me…back to whole foods!

   Big Fan; will repurchase.

   Pros:
   1. Can be used alone w/ out moisturizer – but, I mix a little sunblock in and apply like a tinted moisturizer.
   2. My skin is reacting well- no acne and smaller pores

   Cons:

   The packaging is hard plastic; hard to squeeze/remove product.

   I have tried others; Dr. Hauschka, BE, Real Purity- almost anything w/ a mineral tag name…this is the best by far.

   I have acne prone, dry 30-something skin.
   In general, this product is wonderful for me because it does lightly moisturize, the tints are complementary to my skin tone, and it does not cause clogged pores/breakouts.
   I do not get a “flaky” or oily finish.
   I really like the level of coverage (medium) and I sometimes mix it with Clinique moisturizing gel for a more sheer finish. Even using a minimal amount of product, I do notice a nice evening of skin tone. My skin appears glowy!
   Cons:
   1) tube is hard plastic…. making getting the product out of packaging tricky. I typically get way more than I need. After amount is lower than half full, it’s tough to get product out.
   2) $30 price point is okay but if product is being wasted do to tube difficulties, it goes faster than it should.

   I do not use the finishing product “Setting powder” and don’t find it necessary as I am only slightly oily at nostrils.

   i purchased this in olive! okay, so i decided to stop using my bobbi brown foundation oil-free foundation and powder in honey and warm — i think. it felt like too much stuff on my face. so, i tried first the aveda oil free spf tinted moisturizer, then the zia foundation with spf. both caused me to breakout really bad. i was in the process of detoxifying my makeup drawers. (all my bath and lotion products have been paraben free for as long as i can remember; not because the Great “O” one and her celebrity friends suggested it). so, i went to bare escentuals to try their mineral makeup. hated it. it looked chalky. i people to notice my skin, not what is on it. anyway, i remember seeing this product at whole foods. (actually, one of the consultants initially recommended it instead of the zia. listen to these people when the suggest things)! mineral fusion is fantastic – looks as great as bobbi brown without that obvious makeup look and feel. much better than that bare escentuals crap! i use this with the pressed powder – olive 3 – the finishing base is too light for my skin.

    I don’t generally wear foundation, but there are occasions when I do want something – preferably something on the sheer side – to even out my complexion. For the past few years, I’ve depending on the Shu Uemura Mousse base. I like it, but it makes my skin a little too “dewy,” especially in warmer weather.

    I’ve tried the mineral make-up that has gotten raves here and on other boards and, at least for me, they’ve been a disaster. When I saw this stuff being demonstrated at my local Whole Foods, seized by the opportunity to find yet one more thing I could spend money on ( 😀 ), I sauntered over. The clerk applied some to a customer’s skin – on one side using her fingertips and on the other a sponge… The results were awesome, but it was also the case that the customer was like minus 7 years old and had skin that was smoother than a baby’s butt…. Showing remarkable restraint, I wandered off to the cheese department…

    On my way back, another customer was sitting in the chair. This was an older lady whose skin had definitely seen better days. Normally, I wonder why some of these gals wear foundation as it seems to accentuate wrinkles. I was impressed by the improvement in this woman’s appearance with the Mineral Fusion. Since I was just coming back from working out, my skin was completely clean. It was already dark out, so I didn’t even have sunscreen on. I tested a bit of this on my face and it did indeed instantly even out my skin tone but it was virtually impossibly to tell I had anything on. Although I don’t use a magnifying mirror myself (although I probably should cause I’m half blind…lol), I peered into their’s and you still couldn’t tell that I was wearing makeup.

    I picked up a tube of this in neutral for about $30.00. I find that all you need is a tiny dot of it, although you could use more for greater coverage. So, if like me, you’ve been disappointed by the mineral makeup lines out there, but like the concept and would like a bit of coverage, I’d definitely recommend giving this stuff a try. In addition to being sold at Whole Foods, it is also available online.
