I love my ELDW and will never part with it. But I don’t need a full foundation for work. I also am not a fan of light, sheer foundations either. Enter Revlon Candid. I’m 52 and need at least a solid medium foundation that will get through my day. This does.
With a damp sponge I can get really good coverage from two pumps. It looks great and wears well. It’s not too matte, but looks fairly natural. I’ve been using it for about a week and it’s a perfect every day foundation. I picked up the glowy formula yesterday and that wasn’t as sparkly as IT cosmetics and appeared to be a bit more sheer than the regular Candid formula, but it also may be because of the lack of shade options. I’m using Soft Beige (220 I think) in the regular formula, but the best I could do in the glowy one was Buff. It’s about a shade lighter than the beige, but I was able to warm it up with bronzer. It didn’t seem to wear as long as the original formula either, but still performed well. Neither leave me greasy, and neither one seemed to break up heavily.
The tube with the pump is nice but seems small. I don’t know how long one will last for me yet. My mature skin really likes it. My teenage daughter thinks it looks good too. This is likely to be my daily driver moving forward. I think I prefer the original over the moisturizing formula, but both meet my needs over all.

I bought this for the tiny, travel friendly tube. I found a good color match, but my skin is so dry this tends to settle in my lines. With heavy moisturizer and thin application, it looks fine and will last all day.
It does not irritate my skin, I will not rebuy.

I have oily skin and am currently using Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation. I wanted to look for a drugstore foundation that will give me a natural finish with medium coverage– something good for every day and that it captures more of my features without leaving my face flat.
On application, the Revlon PhotoReady Candid Natural Foundation seems to be smooth and not too heavy. I used the Revlon PhotoReady Brightening Primer first before using the foundation. I didn’t powder the face and went to see how the Candid Natural Foundation wore naturally. Within 20 minutes, the pigments of the foundation dissolved leaving behind the powder (or talc in the foundation) settling around my pimples and pores! I’m just looking at a cast of white powder appearing as dots all over my face and my forehead. I have acne, and the redness and the texture just came through!
I used a beautyblender for to apply the foundation on my face. I then applied a bit more foundation on my cheeks using my fingers, thinking that I would be able to get more coverage on the spots that dissolved. Unfortunately, the pigments disappeared again and my acne/redness showed through!

I am NC20 with slight olive undertones, 46yo, oily t zone, dry elsewhere. Natural Ochre 210 is my shade. This has a very nice skin-like appearance for a medium coverage foundation. I usually smooth it on and use a dampened sponge to blend. I have only used this in the Texas winter- not sure how it I’ll be in the warmer months.
It performs fine with Cerave Baby lotion, Cerave jar and Paula’s Choice Mineral spf30. Applied at 5:30am, still looks great at 5pm. I do have to touch up my oily nose, once during the day.
I have never found a drugstore foundation that I like as much as this.

First time I applied this foundation looked thick and cake and too light. I was ready to return it.
I decided to try again. First I applied a good coat of moisturizer- plain old CereVe. I then dabbed a little Candid on my forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose and used a damp beauty blender.
This has more coverage than I normally use. I’ve used a tinted moisturizer or BB cream for years. This is a little more matte too. You need to apply very little and really prep your skin. I’ve never used a primer, but with Candid, I might try.
I don’t need concealer. Candid even hides the spider vein in my chin and covers the dark circles.
It doesn’t oxidize or sink into wrinkles. It’s not as dewy as I like, but it lasts all day. The BB creams last a couple hours. The finish looks natural.
I used the porcelain color and it’s a little light. I’ll buy the next shade and blend.
I think this is a keeper for days when I need more coverage. One does need to prime with moisturizer. Apply very little and use that damp beauty blender. It has buildable coverage. I wouldn’t recommend powder and I’d use a cream blush.

The packaging is A++. The formula is creamy and it blends nicely with a RT sponge. I really, really like it for the first few hours after applying. Unfortunately it doesn’t last well on my skin, and by the end of the day some of the coverage is gone. That’s the main reason i took off a lippie. Btw, i tried applying it with my fingers once and it went on too heavy and cakey. Haven’t tried it with a brush.

This is a great foundation. I have melasma and redness and found it covered better than Revlon’s new full coverage one. It takes only one layer to cover since it is slightly thick, but creamy and spreads easily, and feels good on skin. It comes in many shades and the tube packaging with pump is easy to use. HG!

I have this in the color 300, Dune. It is a lovely foundation. From my perspective, this looks and feels “high end”. It is light weight, not dewy/not matte, covers and blurs pores and imperfections, and does not accentuate dryness like some other foundations. Long wearing. Doesn’t float or slide around. This is a 3.75 for me.

So far I’m happy with this foundation. It looks good even without primer and covers well. I’m an NC42 and 430 works for me. I almost went a shade darker because it’s hard to gauge in the opaque tubes but I lucked out. This was only $10.99 at CVS but there was a $5 CRT plus I had the $4 coupon from the paper, and got $4 back in ECBs. yay! I think Colorstay is still better, but this is a good alternative.

I tried this Revlon PhotoReady Candid Foundation a few months ago. I bought it alongside the concealer (total flop) & powder (total win). I love the shades 110 Porcelain & 130 Ivory. They’re both fair enough for me to use w/no oxidation. Coverage is low Medium. I have to use a couple of layers for more coverage. It gives better coverage w/a flat top brush than a damp sponge. I like this for low key days when I used to reach for a BB cream. It wears well w/a pore minimizing & mattifying primer. W/out it, my oily/combination skin doesn’t keep it on past about 4 hours. I like the 2 shades I own to mix into foundations that are too dark. The consistency is thick, which I prefer. The packaging is a cute nudish pink w/a clear cap & a pump. The pump works really well. The price has gotten lower since its introduction earlier in the year. I think it’s only $8 lots of places except Ulta & Walgreens.
