BEST FOUNDATION EVER!!!!! after spending all my 20s looking for the best foundation for my normal-dry skin I always come back to this. i’ve tried chanel vitalumiere, giorgio armani luminous silk, too faced born this way, hourglass vanish stick +1000 more, this is the overall best for me.
my dry areas are my forehead and between my brows ALWAYS, no matter what.. the rest of my skin is pretty normal, i usually get some pimples around my mouth which get worst when i use foundations with a lot of alcohol or with too much perfume which is the case of vitalumiere aqua by chanel, it always breaks me out.
the price is very good as well, the perfume is minimal, it settles quick into a very natural finish, lasts about 8 hours on me (i don’t use powder because of my dry skin, i use it only around my eyes) and i use avene thermal water spray to set my face
i wish my recommendation helps people with similar skin concerns and sorry for my bad english, i’m from Chile! 🙂

I really, really wanted to like this foundation better than I did since it is one of Jessica Brauns holy grails. Her recommendations do almost always fit me.
Sometimes it applies beautifully, and those times it looks amazing. But the shade range is awful, it wears off pretty fast and it does not want to stick to mye nose. It rubs off immediately, and how much I ever try I can not get it to look the way I want.
The lightest shade in my local Boots Store was Caluco. I have recently seen that they expanded the shade range, so my experiences are based on the old one. I have swatched a few of them, and they seem a bit dull. I do not know how to explain it, but they almost look grey-toned compared to real skin.

Calico is a light shade that looks grey when swatched beside my other foundations but the machine picked it. Makes me look dead.
Wet look that doesn’t build and needs powder. Doesn’t last more than 3-4 hours. I’m not oily but it slid around no matter what primer. Not for me thanks

I have found my holy grail foundation. I have normal to dry skin and I am pretty fair. The shade Calico works well for me. This foundation looks beautiful on my skin. It looks like skin and doesn’t sit on top, it blends beautifully. I already have a bottle on backup. I have never loved a foundation like this one!

The good:
The texture is basically perfect and I took it for granted before I tried other foundations! I have combo skin and the satin finish stays in place and neither dries me out nor makes me greasy (as long as I powder if I’m wearing it for a while).
The coverage is nice, it goes over dark spots, acne and redness well, but can also be sheered out with a sponge for more “light” days.
It has a pretty great shade range- Boots carries every shade because it’s their own brand, and I initially started using it because even brands with brown shades did not usually have those shades in stock.
The bad:
I do sometimes feel like the shade range isn’t perfect. I don’t wear it too thickly so maybe I get away with it but some of the colours have a slight grey cast.
The first shade I was matched with using the machine in Boots was too dark- you really need to test colours yourself.
It can absolutely get greasy if you have naturally oily skin or it’s humid outside and you don’t powder.

I have to agree with the gals here. I am not an acne prone person, but I have 5 zits around my mouth and it’s growing. I was approached by an esthetician at Walgreen’s when I purchased this, THINKING because I have a skin care specialist in front of me recommending this, that it would be great. Well, not for me. I like the coverage, but I cannot stand the zits around the mouth.

Really hard to blend into skin. It Oxidizes really fast and turns darker than expected. It really sucks at covering up my dark spot

one of the best foundations i have tried would recomend buying it if you have try patches on your skin because it does not cring to them or emphasize and makes your skin look flawless on camera it is not the most full coverage fountation i own and you do have to use a lot of product to cover your entire face and would have to use a lot more to make it full coverage it is a bit more expensive than the usual fountation you can find at boots but if you like a really natually dewy looking finnish this is the foundation a would recomend xx

Honestly one of the worst foundations I have ever used. The coverage is very poor! I have to use a ton of concealer to have my face look perfect. Second, the foundation slides off of your skin SO MUCH! To keep it in place I have to use way too much powder and that makes my skin look dry. If you ever have dry skin pealing off of your face even a little, it will become obvious because the foundation goes a few shades darker on it. It is not long lasting even though it claims to be. It lasts only about 3 hours and then you’ll have to use powder again. Long story short, it is NOT worth the money. I was stupid enough to pay a grand total of £30 for 60ml of this and it was the worst mistake I have made when buying makeup. If it was cheaper then I would have been a little nicer on it, but it costs about the same amount of money as other foundations from professional makeup companies. The point is that No.7 foundation is overpriced!

Good colour range. Nice texture.
Broke me out unfortunately though almost everything does. For something that doesn’t (or at least not my skin) I would recommend trying Clinique Stayy Matte.
