The coverage for me was perfect. A perfect medium. I didn’t feel any brightening. It went on SUPER DUPER smooth. I woulda loved it but I almost felt like my skin looked ” flat” if that makes sense…..not sure

I Bought a bottle of Benefit Hello Happy Flawless Brightening foundation in shade 3 in a sale.I really like it’s cute bottle eventhough I usually hate frosted glass bottles.it claims to provide medium coverage and delivers it albeit I can easily have a coverage on the high-medium side of the track with it.shade 3 is light with yellow undertone and is a good match for me.I prefer foundations to be a bit darker than my own skin but this one is one of the best matches I have ever had, very close to the color of my neck,so I’m happy with it’s shade.it’s close to Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid shade 10/Ivory but a touch lighter and less orangey/more yellow.even their coverage and texture is close and Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid is one of my favorite foundations
It says on it’s packaging: blend onto clean, moisturized face.repeat to build coverage..I haven’t tried it with primer yet but it looks nice on my skin when I take their advise and apply it on Ⓐ washed and scrubbed and then moiasturized skin.it blends well with a damp beauty blender, doesn’t feel drying, look cakey or exagerate pores.it’s finish is more on the matte and I usually prefer dewy, but this one is a natural matte as opposed to a dry, chalky matte
I can’t call it my best foundation as it looks a bit cakey and flakey when my skin is dry and not exfoliated but it looks pretty when my skin behaves and is in it’s combo phase(slightly oily tzone, normal to slightly dry elsewhere).it doesn’t have the claimed 12hours longevity on my skin, doesn’t look as fresh as when first applied after about 5 hours, but I can’t say it has poor longevity either
Edit:
It oxidizes to a very slightly darker,a bit orangey shade.it’s changes are very little and it doesn’t oxidize in a patchy way so it’s not a dealbreaker for 7

Had to review this foundation as the poor reviews surprised me. This is a lovely foundation. Makes me look 10 years younger. Doesnt settle in my lines or look cakey. Doesnt slip off my face the way CC creams and tinted moisturizers do.Hope this gets more love!

I liked Benefit’s previous foundation Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, which was discontinued. I will not be trying this foundation since it contains a high amount of drying alcohol. Benefit has a history of discontinuing their foundations, so this may be discontinued too. I will not purchase.

Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation (HHFBF) by Benefit is a sister product to the Hello Happy Soft Blur foundation. HHFBF is a medium coverage foundation which layers well and can be built up to a full coverage. It applies equally well with both a brush and a sponge. I was expecting this foundation to have a dewy finish due to its name, but it actually dries down to a matte finish. The shade range is small, and most of the shades are yellow based, so if you have very fair or very dark skin, or skin with cool undertones, you may find it hard to find a shade match. The foundation wears well throughout the day, but I did have some separation and fading in my chin area, even with a variety of primers. I really like the packaging this foundation comes in – a frosted glass bottle with a pump. It feels heavy and good quality. While this foundation was OK, I didn’t enjoy the matte finish, the fading and separation and it also did look somewhat cakey as the day went on. I much prefer the original Hello Happy Soft Blur to the new HHFBF version.
