Doesn’t last very long. Looks beautiful when you first put it on though. I have oily skin so it actually helps tone that down a bit. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with dry skin as it does dehydrate.

THE HG of foundations…It’s called Boots No. 7 HydraLuminous Moisturizing Foundation…not in USA yet..bought this in UK…keep checking where you buy Boots No.7 or
order if from Boots on-line. Saw a UK YouTube video on this, so when I had the chance I bought two 1 oz
tubes for a ridiculously low price at one of their flagship stores. Sales assoc. (who had been there 15 yrs,
still very young-looking) used a tester & applied with a brush…instantly amazing…like the lightest CC cream
but with great coverage. My getting-wrinklier-by-the-day 72 yr old skin looked years younger. I use it on top of
moisturizer followed by Murad Age Reform. I bought a medium warm shade. Even in heat & humidity it
holds up!!

I wore this foundation for a few months because I liked the coverage. I prefer a more full coverage and this managed to cover all my redness and post-acne hyperpigmentation, but it ended up dehydrating my skin like crazy. The more I wore it, the more dehydrated it became, and now I’m actually in the process of trying to heal from it. I found out that this foundation contains denatured alcohol which is a known irritant, and I’m pretty certain that’s what sucked the life out of my face. After continued use, it also gave me serious cake face, and I still got super oily, too. I’m pretty sure the extra oil was a result of my skin being so dehydrated (which is different than DRY skin). Just awful. I’m now trying out other foundations that don’t contain denatured alcohol and would highly suggest anyone who is susceptible to dehydration or has a compromised moisture barrier to do the same.

Holy clearance at Target! Picked this up for $5.98 last week(normally $18).. . I HATE liquid foundations, lol, I especially hate full coverage/matte foundations lol, but there are those occasions that require a more made up face, so I do try to always have 2 or 3 full cover/matte foundations on hand in my arsenal for those times… The only other total full coverage one I have now is Becca Ultimate Coverage. Anyhoo, I have used this twice in the last 7 days, and it’s not bad, not sure I would repurchase at full price, but I will use it up.. I’m 48/combo skin, so it’s important that any full coverage foundation not make me look like a corpse. I moisturized well, used a hydrating primer, and also added 2 drops of argan oil to one full pump. When applied with a damp BB it was nice looking, and had good wear time.

So disappointed. As far as coverage goes, it’s just what I want. Everything else just makes me so sad!!! It prob is in the top 3 of foundations to turn me into a grease ball as soon as I step out the door. It has broken me out and we ain’t talkin little white or blackheads. I’m talkin straight up growth under your skin hormonal type acne! I know it’s this because of how incredibly oily it made me, each time I used this (3 or 4) it caused these specific break outs and MY MAKEUP INTUITION. This sucks. Don’t bother. Unless you are a can of crisco then you’ve met your soulmate.

I had a lot of luck with the no7 foundations when my skin was dryer than it is now but I don’t think much to this matte foundation, it clung to my skin a lot on my cheek area and after a couple of hours my t zone was really oily again this was with powder over it as well

I debated this, I really did not need another foundation, but a youtuber whose recommendations I have luck with, recommended this. No, not to me personally, but to her subbies. 😉
Now, this is a decent foundation, but I would use some cautions. For example, this will accent any remote dryness you may have. If you are only oily mainly in the T-zone, this might accent dry patches on your cheeks. For me, this actually accents some dryness on my nose, dryness that I did not know I have; but I just buff it away with a damp sponge (or a damp beauty blender) and the dryness blurs away. Coverage is medium to full coverage. There is a danger of cake face, so unless your skin is truly oily, you might be better off using a damp sponge or a damp beauty blender with this.
I will say, for me, this seems to blur some pores. I tested this on it’s own, with no help of a primer, and this seemed to blur my pores as if I used a primer, so that was nice. But this began to accent my dry patches again, as the day went on. So, if you have combo skin, this might be too drying. I have read also that the pump on this often does not work. So far mine is fine. I was a little concerned because I had read some online reviews saying that this oxidizes to an orange shade, and that worried me, because in the past, I have had problems with some (mainly drugstore, especially Covergirl) foundations oxidizing orange on me. This did not oxidize to any funny color for me, thank goodness. But as the day wore on (a very comfortable and mild temp day), this seemed to break down. My skin still looked nice from afar, but up close, you could see the foundation breaking down.
This is very lightweight and you forget that you are wearing foundation. Definitely will keep you matte, lasts all day except for possibly breaking down or caking up in some spots. Skin feels soft when wearing this, like velvet-smooth. I will say, this seems to oddly not photograph well, while this does keep me matte all day, this oddly looks shiny in photos for me.
All in all I do not dislike this foundation, it is actually pretty decent, but I doubt I will repurchase. I feel this definitely has some drawbacks and I find it needs some help to get it to look nice and to stay looking nice. A setting spray could be this foundation’s best friend once applied, and also setting spray as the day wears on, to blend this in again, might be necessary, or something to blend this in, as it does seem to break down a bit. But if I were to go looking for/purchasing another drugstore matte foundation, I would repurchase the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation; for me, the L’oreal one performs better and is abut half the price of this No 7. Still, all in all, pretty decent, it may need a little help to get it to look nice and stay looking nice throughout the day if you are combo skin. Obviously, I don’t think this is really meant for dry skin. Oily to combo skins, with combo skin possibly needing some help with this to get this to look nice. But all in all, this is pretty decent, definitely has it’s good points and is definitely matte, as ‘promised’. Just not totally ‘wow’ product.

My all time favourite foundation. I came across this foundation a few years back at a friends house after forgetting my own. As we have the same skin type and colour (calico), the foundation was a perfect match. It offers almost an airbrushed finish, medium to full coverage and feels like you’re wearing nothing. The bottle comes with a pump and is made of plastic which makes it super ideal for travelling. I lived in Australia for a couple of years and the foundation wasn’t ideal for the warm, humid climate, so I forgot about it, but rediscovered it when I moved back to Europe and I’m so glad it’s back in my makeup bag. Could not recommend the foundation enough!!

I love everything about this product except the color selection. I am a NC30 in MAC for reference and I purchase this boots foundation in cool ivory. This shade looks so ashy on my skin, every time I wear it I look like I haven’t seen the sun in months! So I always ended up using a good amount of blush and bronzer when I use this foundation. All the other shades were either too dark and just as cool/ashy. Overall, good coverage and definitely kept my oily skin controlled throughout most of the day. It is better at oil control than a lot of my high end foundations (stila, MUFE, MAC), however the color is just ugly on me. Wish they would make more color selections. Since it’s almost fall and winter where I live, I don’t need the oil control as bad so I ended up not reaching for this foundation as much.

Have this foundation for about 6 months. Was recommended to me by shop assistant. I have oily t zone , with rosacea on my cheeks and dryness around my eyes and I needed new full coverage foundation. The price is very good comparing to other brands. She used the colour match device on me but it actually picked the wrong shade.. So be careful don’t only go by this! The shade we selected in the end is perfect. It is very easy to blend and easy to apply , you need 1 pump for every day use and 2 pump if you like it a bit heavier. The only downside for me that it goes oily quiet quickly so you constantly need to fix it with compact powder. 4/5
