I’ve been using Healthy Mix and Healthy Mix Serum for years and decided to give this a go for a change. The only two things I actually like are the sleek compact packaging, the coverage and staying power. There’s no need for powder either.
Apart from that the lightest color was still too dark and orange for me and the texture looked obvious. Also settled into my smile lines and the cakey look didn’t go away when mixed with face oil and/or sprayed with face mist. Might have looked better applied with beauty blender but I don’t use sponges for hygienic reasons. Overall I found it rather disappointing, wouldn’t recommend.

Well, I have dry skin and even though it says that it’s a mattifying foundation, it actually isn’t
It’s a sheer velvety finish but has a matte look
The coverage is buildable, dries kinda fast and settles into your fine line/smile lines
The shade range is bad, there are 8 shades
I definitely wouldn’t buy this again.

Bourjois Air Mat is a very popular foundation where I live but I don’t have this foundation as I have very dry skin and avoid anything matte.this is my sister’s HG foundation, still I have tried it myself and seen it on her enough to be able to review it.she’s 25 years old with combination skin, extremely oily T-zone,other parts are normal, she has a clear face, just very slight redness on her cheeks and a bit of dark cycles, still she prefers medium to full coverage foundations(I really don’t know why!),she has NC15-20 cool toned skin(but she prefers foundations with neutral or yellow undertone) and she has this in lightest shade
Bourjois Air Mat has medium to almost full coverage, good longevity,a real matte finish and does a great job in keeping oils at bay.my sister usually uses pressed powders to set her makeup but even without powder her skin doesn’t look much greasy at the end of the day when she has this foundation on (and she never blots her skin with blotting papers). It’s all in all a good choice if you have oily skin and want a matte drugstore foundation with decent coverage but it has a few CONs:
1.it oxidizes crazily,at least on my sister.it doesn’t look too dark at the end of the day because she uses the lightest shade, still is a bit orangey after being oxidized
2.it’s very drying.she always says that her oily t-zone loves this foundation but her normal cheek and jaws hate it.you’d better not use a toner which contains Alcohol and an oil control face wash while you use this foundation and make sure to moisturize your skin after removing it
3.putting more than one layer of this and then powdering your skin can make your makeup look too heavy
Eventhough it has some major cons my sis has repurchased it plenty of times

The best foundation I have ever tried. It is better than Bobbi Brown Long wear, Eeste Lauder Double wear, better than Chanel or Lancôme.
If you put Dermalogica overnight oil control first, let it dry and then Air May foundation, all day long May in Dubai (!) is guaranteed.

I was so excited for this foundation, non comedogenic, oil free etc. However it was probably the worst foundation I’ve tried. I have extremely oily skin, and it did a great job at keeping oil at bay. However, after only a few hours of wear I had dry patches all over my face and my skin looked like it was going to crack. I tried it multiple times with/without primer but nothing made a difference. It is very noticeable and cakey, which is very unfortunate because it’s definitely medium-full coverage and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing makeup at all. It separated and stuck to patches on my face and my pores were very noticeable. When using an oil blotter it took the makeup off too. Wouldn’t recommend!!

I normally like most of Bourjois’ foundations but this one was sadly disappointing. The palest shade was too dark for me and oxidised darker still when on my oily skin. It also worsened some of the dry skin on my jaw and cheeks, made flakes super obvious, and wore off in a patchy manner throughout the day. Staying power is not great either.
I then bought a white foundation to use as a mixer, it improved the colour match but not the patchiness, dryness, and staying power. I thought it would be great for oily skin, but it didn’t suit me at all. City Radiance & Healthy Mix are far better.

I normally have relatively clear skin with the odd spot here and there and after using this product for a while my skin has broken out worse than ever before. I had initially just thought it was a bad week but my makeup sponge has also struggled with this foundation, its now hard to clean, its lost it’s original texture and is starting to crumble and its not an old beauty blender.

I bought this foundation impulsively and unlike some of my other impulse make-up buy, this one did not disappoint! I have a combo and acne prone skin. I find that this foundation did not irritate my skin or cause any break out. This works pretty much with any primer that I own with no issues. Here are my thoughts;
• Mousse consistency, most of the shades are yellow or cool undertone. There is not much shade range either. I initially bought this online, found that I am safe with “beige” colour most of the time and it matches me, the picture was a lot darker than when I got it in real life. Bought a shade darker since I love this foundation.
• Apply best with a damp sponge. I use either real techniques or beauty blender. I have tried it with a brush and it does provide a tiny bit more fuller coverage but not by much. If I do apply it with the brush, it clings to dry patches around the outside perimeter of my face.
• Not full coverage. I don’t think, it claims to be anyway. But it gives me a solid medium and I just build it up in areas that need more coverage. It builds up beautiful with no issues.
• It dries Matte that’s for sure. It does have some powder finish to it. I have never have to apply it with powder as I feel with it’s almost like powder finish it will cake on me. It does not oxidise on me.
• It last a good solid 9-10hrs on me. Even if my oil started coming through, it’s not horrible it gives my skin a nice glow which I like but not oil slick. I typically wear this foundation for about 12hrs max and sometimes it’s sitting on my skin so nicely by the end of the night that I don’t want to take my foundation off. I haven’t used it for about a month now as I have started using the new Dior Forever Skin foundation but this foundation is in my top 5.
• Everything blends on top nicely, blush, Contour powder, bronzer and etc. I think that’s again because of the powder finish.
• Doesn’t settles on my fine lines, pores or gives me dry patches like my other mattifying foundation around the side of my nose. Great on bumps, lumps and textures. I find that it doesn’t emphasis anything. Once the oils started coming through it didn’t break or seperate anywhere. It usually happens around my nose and between my eyebrows. This just didn’t.
• Packaging is plastic but atleast it’s squeeze tube! Not fuss about the packaging as the product itself is great.
• I will absolutely repurchase this.

Initially this product applied nicely with a beauty blender, very yellow toned foundation but it honestly didn’t look that bad on me. It felt weightless and dried down matte. I used it with a matte primer, concealer and set with setting powder and the L’Oréal infallible foundation powder (which is amazing). Looked nice at the start and especially looked nice under bright lighting like a flash as the flashback wasn’t as bad as some drug store foundations can be. After literally half an hour this product was sliding about my skin and if I even as much touched my face the product would come right off, leaving me looking very patchy. It’s honestly a joke that this product claims it lasts 24 hours, for oily skin types like mine this foundation will no doubt leave you looking patchy, oily and your face will literally feel sticky to the touch. I mattify my face throughout the day with a powder and it helped with the oilyness and shine but after a while began to cake up and I literally just wanted to take a baby wipe to my face and take it off. Extremely disappointing as I paid £10 for this foundation (which is a lot of money for me) because I was mislead by false advertising.

I really like this foundation – I have very oily skin and did set this with powder but unfortunately it did wear off during the day. The initial application was so nice though, not entirely full coverage but buildable for sure. Really nice on the skin and if my skin wasn’t as oily as it is I think this would have lasted the whole day. The weather was not on my side, being very humid and hot so that probably is a big influence on longevity. I can picture this lasting on my face longer during cooler months. I love the packaging, it is very compact but in Australia this brand is expensive, but you don’t need much for good coverage. A really nice foundation that Bourjois has finally made in my shade (I am very tan and have been frustrated with their lack of darker shades for a while).
