Gorgeous with UD 24/7 Lip Liner in Manic, IMO!

Review for Vice formula.
This goes on smoothly and is slightly lighter and browner than my lips. On initial application it looks tan but it becomes more rosy over time. No gathering in lip lines (a first for this kind of shade for me), bleeding or feathering. Slightly moisturizing and doesn’t get in my teeth! A lovely non-chalky color with some luminosity in an EXCELLENT cream formula.
Only reason I won’t repurchase is that this isn’t a core shade for me.

Quite a safe shade, can’t really decide if it’s basically light brown with a healthy dose of pink or an actual earthy pink – sits happily on the middle.
I’m fair, slightly warm toned and I can’t wear it on its own since it can look a bit lifeless but if my makeup calls for a very unassuming lipstick to finish off the look it’s great! Pigmentation is very nice, the creamy texture with some shine is flattering and comfortable. I like the packaging too and the price wasn’t too high.
Longevity is rather average though and overall I don’t consider Liar a holly grail but if you’ve been looking for a subdued everyday creamy lipstick go for it.

One of my favourite lipsticks ever! The new one from Vice is a bit darker than the original Urban Decay Revolution. Both shades are a warm nude pink, really a MLBB (my lips but better) and the formula is really smooth. It’s a safe shade that offends no one and is perfect for work.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but found that I wanted to write one about this lip liner because I was really surprised and please at the same time. I found that when I first put it on it was smooth and silky and I thought to myself that ” this won’t last the morning or it will bleed within the hour”. This was not the case: I only reapplied after meals! I love this lip liner and will not look any further. It is well worth the price!

Urban Decay is one of the brands that never fails to disappoint me. So of course when I saw that they were launching these lipsticks, I went crazy and decided to buy a few. I ended up buying rapture, manic and liar.
Colour wise, liar is a natural pinky/brown shade which I personally think looks really nice against my complexion. For reference, I am a MAC NC20-25 (medium skinned with yellow undertones). I was looking for a nice neutral light pinky shade for my skin tone and whilst this isn’t exactly what I was looking for, it is a nice everyday colour – a good mix of brown and pink. The colour is really close to Revlon’s Colourburst Balm Lipstick (can’t remember the actual name but it’s the lipsticks that are more like an opaque balm and have the colourful packaging with the fishnet design on the plastic cap) in the shade 01 (Tawny Pink, I believe it s called).
Formula wise, the lipstick is opaque and creamy but not so creamy that it slides around all over the place. My only gripe is that for some reason, it seems to really sink into any fine lines and make my lips look like wrinkled prunes. I don’t find the lipstick to be drying at all, my lips are not wrinkly (I’m only 18) and my lips are not even dry at this point. I have tried this lipstick on bare lips, with my fave NUXE Reve Du Meil lipbalm as a base, applied and then patted down and even with a lip brush and it still seems to accentuate and settle into lines (which I didn’t even know I had). I ended up giving this one to my younger cousin and it looks perfect on her. That being said, the shades rapture and manic were perfect and glided on like a dream, stayed put all day and didn’t settle into the lips or feather. I guess its just a problem with the liar shade.
I did try the sheer liar which is more of the lighter shade I was after in the first place and this is is definitely more balmy and so appropriate for spring/summer time. If you liked the revolution liar but hated the formula, try the sheer liar. I don’t know why it’s called ‘sheer’ because it’s anything but sheer. This one feels more balmy and moisturising, it still has the opacity and wears for a decent amount of time too.

This is a very pretty shade, it is a very flattering shade; I could see many skin tones being able to wear this. This also lasts a good 4 hours or so on me, which is great for any lip product for me. However, it is drying, and settles into and accents every tiny little lip line, making me look like I’ve got ‘old lady lips’..(I am 45, older, but not an old lady yet!!). I do like this shade, but won’t re-purchase. If they change the formula so it is not so drying and does not settle into lines, then I would re-consider. Pretty shade, but it is too drying for me (and my lips are currently not even dry at all).
But as it stands, this is just so-so for me. I like the shade, but don’t like how it ‘looks’ on me…if that makes sense..?!?! I guess it can maybe be chalked up to just not a great formula, at least not for me. It is okay, but definitely won’t re-purchase.

The lipstick worked very well for me. I’m fair, blonde hair with blue eyes. The color was exactly what I was looking for- not too dark or light. It showed up as a mauve pink on me.
What really worked for me is how creamy it is. I was specifically looking for a creamier, non matte lipstick since I have chronic dry lips. (guessing it’s an age thing!)
Despite it being non matte it does have some staging power, at least couple of hours. Of course if I use the Liar lip liner definitely makes it last much longer.
I LOVE MAC lipsticks but lately just can’t wear the matte ones anymore and just wanted to branch out and try something different. I’m glad I did.
