I didn’t like this color. A little too mauvey pink. It went on vibrant but lost its shine within a half hour. It also is a messy formula…bleed into my outer lip area

I love this lippie and purchased it during Sephora’s 10% off sale. It is perfect for me, light skin, green eyes, medium reddish brown hair. I suck the color from everything, and need a little red punch in my lipstick. Smooth, long lasting, and fades in a gradual, flattering way. The color is described as soft wine, but I would say soft red wine. Love the case and the slanted bullet! A week after I received Manic, I went to the Sephora web site, and all shades in sheer, matte and this formula were half price! Thanks for the big 10 off sale, haha! Manic was gone, as well as at UD’s web site. I was lucky to get 2 tubes at Ulta. It’s that kind of perfect for me.

Manic is one of the softer colors in the Revolution line, which makes it good for every day use. The color is more red than I expected, so unless you’re teeth are white I might be careful with this one. The lipstick itself is moisturizing, long lasting, and comes in a beautiful tube casing. It’s $22 at Sephora, which, depending on your budget, might be a deal breaker. UD’s Revolution lipstick line has so far not failed me, although I probably won’t repurchase this specific color because of the redness.

This is a great formula, long lasting and not drying. I was looking at getting nars audacious lipstick in Audrey and discovered this cheaper “dupe” on temptalia. Lovely color. Brightens up the face.

I love UD’s Revolution lipstick formula. When it was first released, I got a sample size of F-Bomb and loved it so much that I went back to get the full size. I love that it was long-lasting without being drying and also that when it did fade, it faded evenly, leaving an even “stain” behind so that even if I didn’t have time to reapply, I still had colour on my lips and no uneven, patchiness or that hideous ring around the lip-line. I did want to find something in a less “full on” colour, though, and in the dreadfulness that is Sephora in-store lighting, I got Catfight, hoping it would be a sort of “MLBB” colour or a bit like MAC Plumful but longer lasting. WRONG. I wore it only once or twice and realized right away that not only was the colour garish, but it didn’t have the great properties I loved in F-Bomb (the even fading, no “ring”, etc.). It’s the first UD product I’ve ever returned. To replace it, I got Manic and THIS is the colour I should have been looking for. It’s a softer plum/berry shade, feels great and wears great and, like F-Bomb, as it fades, it does so in a flattering way. As much as it shocks me to say it, this might just replace Plumful in my collection (I generally have 3 tubes of Plumful on the go at any one time – in my bathroom, in my purse and one that “travels” between my gym bag, school bag and kitchen drawer). I am planning to go back to purchase another tube of Manic so I can have one in my bag and one in my bathroom, at the very least. This is a FABULOUS lipstick.

This was my first purchase among the UD Revolution lipsticks. Yes, first. That tells you something, doesn’t it?
I wear this over the matching liner (smudged all over my lips), and love it. The lipstick feels so smooth going on (almost like a lip butter, but not slippery), shines, gives great coverage, and wears (in this combo, anyway) like a dream. As I wears off, it seems to do so evenly so there’s no ring. I am not too sensitive to fragrances in lipstick, but I didn’t notice any in this.
The color pulls a tad orange on me, but I seem to be the only person who thinks so. Maybe it’s just me. I am fair-medium (NW18), pink undertones, with red (dyed) hair (actually, high on the red-violet, if you must know). Orange or not, this is bright on me, but definitely in a good way.
Since I bought this, I bought Rapture too (which is actually my favorite) and am trying out Naked today (reviewing both). It is pretty likely that I’ll buy more.

I wore maniac for the first time yesterday! Gorgeous color! Plummy/pink and deep. <3. I used a lip liner with it and I ate a salad. Afterwards, I had the dreaded ring-around-the lip! Lol. It's ok. I'll just remember to touch up immediately or wipe off before eating!! The packaging is sleek and cool; though a bit chunky. This shade was sold out at 2 stores I looked in around the holidays. Glad I was able to grab it yesterday! Very happy w/ the formula. It feels nice without being too shiny, sticky, or heavy. A nice weight and still moisturizing.

My first UD revolution lipstick. I adore this colour. I was wearing practically everyday during the fall. It’s a perfect fall colour but not as bold as deep wine colours.
This colour. Is an office friendly colour. It’s a statement but doesn’t whack people of the head with it! 😉
The formula is very moisturizing. Even after I’ve eaten lunch the colour is still there though it’s more of stain but still very pigmented.
UD lipsticks are pricey. At $28 CAD you could buy a MAC lipstick and save $9. Oh well it’s a splurge but I think they are totally worth it!
(Especially since I love all this UD! 😉 )

Manic was my first purchase of the new UD Revolution lipsticks, it will not be my last! This is one of the best lipsticks I have used. The color is a very pretty soft berry shade, totally appropriate for day or night time wear. The formula is fantastic, soft, smooth, creamy, opaque, wears well, and fades evenly. I don’t usually even use a liner and apply right from the tube, and don’t end up with color wandering outside my lip line. The packaging is beautiful. I love the heavy silver metal tube, it looks very high end and much more luxurious than UD’s previous lipstick packaging. I’ve got my eye on Streak, Cat Fight, and Jilted next!

I wanted to like this! These are definitely pigmented lipsticks. This color was just too brown on me and was not flattering. I can normally wear berry shades but this did not work. It also smeared very easily and was difficult to apply without getting it on my skin outside my lips. Perhaps a liner would have helped that, but overall I was disappointed and returned this. The formula sort of feels like a Revlon lip butter, I think I prefer those more and they are cheaper !
