I think it is almost a universal MLBB lipstick. The formula is comfortable and the packaging is elegant.

Urban Decay describes Crisis as a “plum rose”. On my nw20, deep winter (3n almost black hair, brown eyes, fair to medium skin) this is a pretty accurate description. Most shades that are described as “rose” skew too brown for me; this shade does not. It is a beautiful soft pop of color. I say soft in that it is in that more than MLBB but not crazy bold, deep or dark. It is more red than Rapture (that comes off more of a dusty mauve on me). I compared it to other shades I owned to see if it was different enough to merit the purchase and it was. It was distinctly more reddish plum toned than MAC Captive, Craving & Amorous. While all the MAC shades listed are great choices they aren’t as easy as I would like on me. Craving looks best on me in the summer. Captive and Amorous are gorgeous but almost make feel too dressed up…like I should at least be in the office. But Crisis sits really, really easy on my lips. It is great for when I want less pink than Rapture but don’t want to go full berry-ish like Captive and Amorous can come off on me. Crisis actually reminds me of a fall / winter version of UD Manic. I love Manic, but it can look too warm with my fall/winter makeup. Crisis fills that void. It has the same easy reddish pop of color, but sits so much better with my fall makeup. I think it is the plum tone to it over the berry tone that most of my collection has that is making this so easy and unique to my all the other shades in my collection. On others I have seen this look a bit more purple, but that is just our undertones and lip color influencing the shade differently. I usually pull out orange/brown tones in shades (in a bad way), but Crisis stays a beatiful plummy rose shade.
