Of all the lipsticks in my collection, UD Amulet might be the most unique. It’s a metallic-ish rose color that pulls brown in some lights and mauve in others. At least on me. It’s a gorgeous shade that pairs well with so many eye looks due to the overall neutrality of it. The shimmer isn’t over the top frosty, so it is incredibly wearable for day or night, and the sheen makes my lips look full and healthy. It also reminds me of a Jordana lipstick that I got back in 1994 when I was 11 and just starting out with makeup. I wore that lipstick to death, to the point where I’d have to scrape the remainder of the product out of the component with a cotton swab. So there’s a wonderful nostalgia in Amulet that I just couldn’t pass up.
The formula is wonderful. I am particularly fond of the Metallized and Cream finishes in the UD Vice range, since they oddly enough have the best staying power for me. Pair that with the fact that they’re hydrating and comfortable, and you’ve got a real winner.
Consistent with all UD Vice lipstick packaging, it’s sturdy and pretty, with a strong component and the bullet fitted firmly inside so it doesn’t easily break. I love that. It looks classy with a modern edge, which I enjoy.
I’ll definitely repurchase this shade. Between this and 1993, I feel like I have two gorgeous Autumn/Winter neutrals to carry around everywhere!

On my NC30 skin this is a warm rosey brown with frost finish. Absolutely love it and I know I will get a lot of wear out of it during the fall and winter. Applies very smoothly and feels moisturizing on the lips. Due to the metallized/frost finish it makes my lips look fuller.

Amulet is described as a brick rose and it has the metallized finish. It reminds me a lot of shades like MAC So Select and Finally Free or NYX B52, but this shade runs a smidge less brown than these (I tend to pull out orange or brown in any shade that has a bit of it in it…in a bad way). I am nw20, deep winter complexion. This shade doesn’t seem that special to me, but I find myself drawn to it. I feel like this is one of those rosey brown type shades that I can actually wear and that doesn’t go full into the bad place of looking too brown on me. I tried this in the bubble package at first and thought it would be love at first try, but it was intrigue. I found myself constantly trying it to see which way it was going to look on me this time (more plum, more brown, more rosey). Finally I broke down and bought a full tube. I love the way these metallics (well this and Conspiracy) seem to have this duo chrome thing going on where in one light you see one shade, in another light it picks up other shades. Very cool. All in all, now January – March ish – I find myself keeping Amulet in my purse for my “fits with everything” lipstick. It works when I am in my raggedy gym clothes and when I am all dressed up with some place to go.
