I love this product. The shade is slightly darker on my lips than it is in the tube, which makes it an MLBB for me–a medium-deep cool mauve. The formula is creamy and light, yet is is matte despite remaining creamy on the lips. After five hours of wear, with snacking and drinking water, most of the color remained, and what wore off did so evenly. It also stood up to several applications of lip balm without disappearing or bleeding–impressive. There was no discernible (or unpleasant) smell or taste. The only thing I dislike about this product is the applicator. It’s a sponge-tip but not quite a doefoot and quite large, so it’s easy to overapply or apply color outside the lipline. Next time I’ll use a lip brush, but it’s a small inconvenience considering the beautiful color, comfortable texture, and wear time. I would repurchase and am looking forward to trying Hangry.

I am obsessed. That’s all I can say. What’s up with these matte lipsticks not having a scent? Blows my mind! I love JSTAR, Colourpop, but I won’t buy from them anymore because their mattes don’t. have. fragrance.
I digress. These lip paints are PHENOMENAL! I love the minty scent. I love the feel of it on the lips when applying. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn’t dry down fully. That’s ok, because it isn’t drying, but it causes it to bleed.
For example, when I wear other matte lipsticks, I put them on, and 5 minutes later they are completely dry. Dry — as in, if I drink from a can, there is no color left on the can from my lips. With Tarteist Lip Paints however, there would be a slight stain, meaning you can’t eat, drink, etc while wearing this, and if you do, reapply all day long!
BUT, I will buy these over and over. I got TBT as a sample when I bought the 12hr poreless primer, and I’ve been wearing it everyday since. Today, I just ordered Frenemy because I wanted Kourt K so bad, but Kylie Cosmetics is ALWAYS sold out. Anyway, can you tell I LOVE these!
Buy them. Now.

This liquid lipstick has really grown on me. It’s a beautiful dark mauve. The formula is a bit different from many liquid lipstick formulas on the market today; it’s a thick mousse-like texture that applies smoothly and evenly. It’s incredibly pigmented, and not as drying as other liquid lipstick formulas. While it dries down to a matte finish, this lipstick is not completely transfer-proof.
Tip: I typically wait for the lipstick to sit on my lips for about 10 minutes to dry, and lightly blot away the excess ‘transfer’ onto a napkin. This still leaves plenty of product and color on my lips.
Pros:
TBT is a beautiful color
Incredibly smooth and even application, not drying
Very pigmented
Smells like mint chocolate
Cruelty-free
Cons:
Does not dry completely matte. It does transfer slighty
Shade names are kinda cheesy (TBT, bae, twerk, etc…)
