This is a terrific top quality lipstick that won’t break the bank. Regrettably though for me (neutral skintone leaning much more toward great based) this colour didn’t function … the pigment is extremely rather but pulls warm on my lips (naturally darker) so it does not brighten my skin tone … I can see exactly how it would look amazing on warmer skin tones though as well as this colour can be dressed up or dressed down … structure is alright however tends to divide quickly as well as cake even with lip balm used … a fantastic l/s simply except me …

Pretty shade, really my favourite at the moment. Has a silvery light velvety appearance which I really enjoy. It is not going to come off conveniently. And also if it’s coming off it will be simply between so you can reapply it in a couple of seconds. Of course the shade are all individual choice however if you are seeking a beautiful color for an evening out or for work, institution this is the appropriate color for you!????

This is a great quality lipstick that won’t break the bank. Pretty color, actually my favourite at the moment. Has a silvery light creamy texture which I really love. It is not going to come off easily. And if it’s coming off it will be just in the middle so you can reapply it in a few seconds. Of course the shade are all personal preference but if you are looking for a beautiful shade for a night out or for work, school this is the right shade for you! ????

I have been using this color for years…it is something I go back to again and again! I’ve used the nudes, the mattes, the oranges, etc., but if I need to wear a color I know will be right, this is it. It is pearly, but I don’t find it overpowering. I have many high end brands, and also some of the most popular brands, ie. MAC, and I find that Revlon is as good as any and better than many. This gives my face color and lights my face up, but it doesn’t look like a big set of lips coming at you. Hope they never discontinue this shade!!

I was wearing a bright red lipstick (Revlon Fire and Ice) when my dad commented on my makeup. He said “it looked too dark… not right somehow with my face”. Now my dad isn’t someone who notices makeup, let alone comments on makeup. So I wiped off the lipstick and headed to Meijer for a different shade. After much deliberation, I decided on another Revlon lipstick in Softsilver Rose. I couldn’t wait to get home, so I applied it in the car. It was perfect. A medium pearly rose that livened up my face and elicited a typical “okay” from my dad. This shade is very feminine and brightens my complexion. Just for reference, I’m fair with rosy undertones. I don’t think this lipstick would look good on someone with real warm undertones, but it’s not expensive, so feel free to experiment.

Softsilver rose is pretty much is what it’s name suggests – a fresh, pretty rosy pink, quite sheer, but with a strong pearl/frost finish which makes it almost metallic. After a long time out in the cold this type of finish seems to be getting a little more love, so this lipstick is an inexpensive way to try it out, paired with a pretty and innocuous lip shade.
The colour shares a certain quality with my favorite MLBB shade Blushing Mauve – a slight colour shift which throws either a faintly warm or slightly cool cast depending on lighting conditions and complexion. It works best on me in winter when my skin is palest (cool with pink undertones, some sun damage) I think of it as quite a wintry shade as a result.
The silvery pearl finish makes an otherwise innocuous colour into something a bit more interesting, but it isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste. At first I disliked it, but it does make my lips look fuller and I find I am giving it a chance more and more often.
As with all the Revlon Super Lustrous line the packaging is serviceable and unfussy, though the firm “click” as you pop the lid back on feels less and less trustworthy as time goes on. Texture on the lips is such that you can tell that there are particles in there that give it that frosty finish, so it’s not as creamy as other colours in the line and also slightly drying if worn for several days in a row. I wouldn’t go as far as to call it gritty though. It isn’t particularly buildable; what you see on the first swipe of the bullet is pretty much what you get. You’ll have to reapply after eating and drinking, it doesn’t have great longevity. And forget about applying it over balm – it will curdle.
At the moment I’m enjoying the novelty of this colour as it is a shade and finish that I would never have picked out for myself (It came in a set of lipsticks) but I doubt I’d buy it again. The texture isn’t as good as it could be, and as for the colour, I have my firm favorites and this isn’t exciting enough to make the list.

Such a beautiful color, I get so many compliments when I wear it. Its not too strong, not clownish, and gives my lips a hint of shine. Gorgeous color.

Wow i cannot believe all the bad reviews. This lipstick is truly amazing, yes it is a bit frosty but the pearl sheen makes my lips look alot bigger and shiny. You dont need to wear gloss with this lipstick. Also very moisturizing and stays on for a pretty long time. I find the formula of Revlon lipsticks so much better than Mac ones.
