I got the Soft Matte Metallic in Cannes primarily because I love the non-metallic version of the same shade. It is pretty similar in terms of color, but it has a metallic finish to it obviously. To me, it feels a little more autumnal due to the metallic finish, so I will probably reach for it more in cooler weather. I do like it a lot though, and it wears and feels exactly like the original Soft Matte Lip Creams. I don’t know that I would pick up any of the other colors, but it is a fun line to play around with. It looks great on, and it wears away nicely without leaving a weird ring around the mouth. I do find the Soft Mattes to be very slightly drying, so make sure that you wear a nice balm if you plan on using these lippies for several days in a row.

NYX has one of the best matte – metallic formulas in my opinion and it is actually both matte and metallic at the same time. This applies easily but it does set quick so work fast to ensure a nice even layer. This lasts all day easily and barely transfers at all. This has a slight taste but it dissipates quickly.
