I went into Sephora expecting to buy a YSL lipstick and then of course I had to swatch every nude color in the store in almost ever brand haha & I had swatches all over my hand, when I swatched this color next to a YSL nude color (didn’t get the name of it) but they looked the exact same! Of course I bought this BITE one for almost 20 dollars less!! I love it! It is smooth and lasts a long time, its the perfect nude & I am so happy with my purchase! xoxo.

This is absolutely my favourite nude lipstick in my stash, and I have over 100 lipsticks. I would describe the colour as a taupey, balanced baby pink. It isn’t overly warm or cool, which I personally find look very distinct and hard to pull off outside of a nightclub or bar setting. Because the colour leans fairly neutral it works with every tone of eye shadow, making it an easy staple product. On my vampire white skin it nudes out my lips while still giving a fairly generous dose of colour. Not to say I would pair it with natural looking eye makeup, it has great pigmentation and I don’t like the aesthetic of muted lips on a fresh face. I usually pair it with Annebelle Nude lipliner.
The formula of this product is to die for. I absolutely love the creaminess and moisturizing feel of this lipstick. It isn’t sticky or heavy, just really luxurious and creamy. The smell (muted but fruity) dissipated incredibly quickly which is nice because I’m sensitive to it. And there is no obnoxious flavour, thank goodness because I hate that. PLUS this nude doesn’t settle into lines line some other matte or demi matte finishes do. Yayyy!
The packaging is a nice, matte grey. I have taken this lipstick out with me on a lot of dates because it doesn’t require a lot of touch-ups or fuss. And if you kiss much it isn’t noticeably smeared all over your face (it also wears super evenly). Rolling around in my purse I have never lost the lid and doubt I ever would. Also, despite the fact it’s natural I took this with me to the zoo on a 25 degree Calgarian day (dry heat), and it didn’t melt one bit in my purse. I absolutely love this lipstick and its a gorgeous nude on fair skin.

This beat Tom Ford, YSL, Chanel, and Estee Lauder for me. I have super sensitive, acne-prone skin (I have broken out from the fragrance in Chanel lipstick – THAT sensitive) and melasma around my lips. SO, I need something with good-for-me ingredients and minimal fragrance. This gives me that and much more. Not only are the ingredients top notch, the color (like pretty much ALL BITE colors) is amazing, the formula is as smooth as butter, and it lasts on me pretty much all day – even after coffee and water. It does not leave an annoying ring around my mouth like Chanel and YSL did. It just fades gradually and evenly and, when it does, my lips are still smooth and moisturized. I felt like the YSL lipsticks just coated my lips with slippery plastic and suffocated them. Given the price of YSL and TF lipsticks and the quality of their ingredients compared to those of BITE – BITE lipsticks are a STEAL.

This lipstick is pretty good. I like the color and creaminess. Retsina is a great pink nude. On my lips, it does tend to look like a baby pink nude. It is really creamy, lasts for a few hours, tends to transfer when you eat/drink/kiss. I just don’t find the price worth it to re-purchase again.

I am disappointed that Revlon discontinued Soft Nude. Since I’ve tried Retsina from Bite, I am glad once again! My lips are naturally very pink and I love this nude shade. Love the fact that Bite makes mostly natural products as well.

This is the PERFECT nude for anyone with a fair to medium skin tone. It’s a little pinky to keep it from being too pale/brown and completely opaque on the lips, which means it would be phenom on anyone with lip discoloration. The formula feels very creamy & nourishing, with pretty decent wear time. I can usually get a good 3 hrs out of it, which is great for a lipstick that doesn’t market itself as long wear. The packaging is adorable & I like Bite Beauty’s brand ethics, so I’m more than willing to pay that luxury price tag for these lippies. Retsina was my first Bite product, but is now just one in my ever-growing collection.

I purchased this during the Sephora VIB, and it’s my very first Bite Beauty product. I love this colour so much! It’s a pretty pinky nude, on my lips it turns out looking more peachy as it settles, I have pigmented lips but is opaque enough to cover my natural colour too.
I passed on this so many times because it looked so brown in the bullet, but once applied it looks lighter for sure. Definitely give this one a try, I want to look at some of the other colours.
It feels very moisturizing on the lips too.

Quite impressed with this brand of lipstick. Love that its food grade so I’m not eating chemicals, and its Canadian! Very pigmented and creamy. Its quite moisturizing (but not enough for me on its own), and it has a light fragrance (not too overbearing). For a pale shade it doesn’t crease up too much which is good. Its a nude with enough pink to make it more wearable. Its very pigmented though so it can still look a bit pastel, so its easier to sheer it out a bit or top it with gloss. The tube is a nice shape, and has a almost rubbery matte grey finish. Not the sexiest tube, but it does look unique. Its on the expensive side, but its a good quality lipstick. Curious to try other shades in this line!

Retsina is a great nude-pink that has enough pink that it doesn’t wash me out. The color is along the same lines as Urban Decay lipstick in Native in that it is just a good pink nude without a lot of bells and whistles. If you love shades like MAC Cream Cup or Innocence Beware, YSL Rouge Volupte #1 Nude Beige, you will like this one too.
Bite lipsticks are ridiculously good. They are the perfect texture; super creamy with opaque coverage and yet a good amount of shine too. I am so impressed with the formula and color selection. There is a scent to these lipsticks although I can’t quite figure out what. It is almost a faint chocolate scent. Hands down, this is my second favorite lipstick line (first is Tom Ford) and that is saying a lot because I have tried it all (Burberry, YSL, Dior, Chanel, etc.). I also find that because of the amazing formula, the color stays on a good while without drying my lips or clinging to dry patches. I can’t say enough about these lipsticks and I can’t wait to buy more shades!!

(Note: My comments about the formula I’ve repeated in other shades of this product.) I am a HUGE fan of Bite Beauty products. I absolutely love that they’re made only with food-grade ingredients, and the smooth matte black packaging appeals to me.
With that said, their lipstick formula – at least on me – is extremely moisturizing and creamy. The pigmentation on all 10 colors I’ve tried or owned is absolutely incredible! With Retsina I find the color to be a very pinky nude – very pale and neutral. This particular shade is actually a little too pigmented for me – not like a mod shade, but I can’t wear it at full opacity because I don’t dig the pastel look for my lips. (Minus 1 lippie – I don’t get much use of this one because of the color and pigment.). It’s great for every day if it’s toned down a tad with balm or gloss or just slightly sheered out. Some people might not like the very faint sweet scent these lipsticks have, but I love it – same with the faintly sweet taste (very faint).
Because of the creaminess of the formula, the longevity suffers a bit – I LOVE the formula so I don’t mind reapplying, but if you don’t blot, it won’t last more than 3 hours or so if that. I don’t even care though – I love it so much!
