So I just got this as a gift with purchase (Australian Vogue, Sept ‘18). I am quite opposed to the Kardashian’s and all of their profileration thought the media and care not for Kylie and her cosmetics…however, I enjoy a good liquid lipstick and the chance to try the hyped lip kit for essentially nothing and in a colour I’d been after was too good to pass up.
So, the formula itself is pretty awful. It’s lightweight but somehow thick – you end up slathering it on because there’s no spreadability. And once it’s on it does that awful wearing thing where it flakes off in patches.
The colour is nice but so so much darker than I thought it was going to be. I was hoping it was going to be a good replacement for my much loved Nars Pure Matte in Terre de Feu, but, alas, no. It is almost so dark on my NW15 skin as to be black. It does look super vampy though.
Knowing that there are much better long lasting liquid lipstick formulas out there, the prices people normally pay for this and the allegations of shoddy business dealings, I’d actively recommend not buying any of these and looking for something else. Stila, Kat Von D, Anastasia and plenty of other brands make amazing options.

Went to Kylie Cosmetics website, ordered 4 lipsticks so expensive. Checked out regular check out. Never got an email confirmation and it got taken out of my account and it was fraud!!!! emailed Kylie Cosmetics and they were so incredibly rude and said that I didn’t order through their website. I went to their website and it turned out to be fraud. Wouldn’t help me at all and give me free shipping as this was for Christmas. Beyond rude rude people and my friend has their lipstick and it gets super dry and peels off. DO NOT PURCHASE

Never ever and never again – the color Leo and Vixen were purchased and I am horrified at the product – it is drying and so Matt that I have never experienced this type of poor quality in lip makeup – the after effect are dry lips for days. Cleverly marketed to optimize fast initial sales but sadly will never ever rival any of the major brand companies

Okay so this entire line has a similar theme I feel– decent product, great name. It’s Kylie so everyone wants it, but if it wasn’t Kylie it would just be a little below average formula with decent color selection. My problem with these lipsticks is they are SO drying like my lips crack and I use chapstick beforehand too. As for the color, it just looks very very dark on me because I’m so pale; I expected this but in the pictures it didn’t look that dark but if you’re anywhere in the first few shades of most foundations it will be extremely dark on you. For me, it’s just not worth the money especially because I’ll wear it maybe twice a year.

This is the perfect Fall burgundy color!! It comes with a liquid matte lipstick & a lipliner (NONE of her pencils are retractable those are fakes sorry!!), which you can sharpen (I use a MAC or UD grindhouse sharpener for it). I think the color is fab but I prefer the metallic Reign for a fall burgundy. I have no comment about Kylie the person as this is s review for the product. We should keep them separate. This is a high quality product. It was released during her 19th bday. There were a lot of different products or you could buy the bundle. Kylie lipkits are hard to come by which can be disappointing. There is a high demand. Packaging is cute but the lead in the pencil will shift around after it’s been sharpened & the lipstick has no stopper so it’s possible to spill it. The doe foot applicator is adequate for application process. It takes a few applications to get the hang of it. It is $38 w (usa) shipping but it was LE so it’s sold out except by fake up artists or for over inflated prices on fleabay. I’d suggest getting Reign which isn’t LE.

The Leo Lipkit was part of the 2016 Birthday Collection, and has now been added to the regular line. The burgundy colour and matte finish look stunning and autumnal, but the formula is runny and messy, so I need to use a lipbrush as the wand is overloaded with product when removed from the tube. The formula runs over the liner outside my lips no matter how much time and care I take, then it’ll bleed and ruin my base when I attempt to clean it up. And then when I finally manage to get it on okay, it dries all patchy, and begins to crack within the first few hours – before I’ve eaten or drank.
I’ve given this kit an extra lippie for the liner; it’s a noticeably lighter shade than the lipstick and so it needs to go on before I apply the lipstick [in other cases I sometimes use liners after applying my lipstick to neaten the edges of the colour], but it is nice and firm for neatly outlining the lips, yet feels creamy and soft. No dragging or irritation.
I was very excited when I managed to get this lipkit on the Birthday launch on the Kylie Cosmetics site [so no, it’s not a knock-off], but I wish I hadn’t bothered now as it’s such a pricy product to be majorly disappointed in – first there’s the over-the-quality-of-the-product price level, then there’s the international shipping price, and finally there’s a custom’s fee upon the product’s arrival at your door. I don’t care either way for the Kardashian’s/Jenner’s, so having one of their names attached to this product didn’t affect my review in any way.
I reccomend trying Kat Von D’s Vampira liquid lipstick, if you are looking for a similar colour with a nice formula.
