Best lipstick I’ve bought! I bought it in 742 Joli Rouge and it’s amazing, it’s moisturising and rich in colour, it feels very comfortable to wear and I love the smell of it feels quite natural, I also like that is dermatologically tested and the price is good considering it has lasted me ages even though I wear it a lot. Very happy with it I will definitely stick to Clarins lipsticks!

I purchased Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick based upon favorable reviews by Paula Begoun’s Beautypedia and MakeupAlley. It was between Rosewood or Rose Berry …I choose Rose Berry because for me it is a MLBB. I really like this formulation …wonderfully pigmented and moisturizing while remaining light weight on the lip. Lighter than Estee Lauder’s Pinkberry and Lancome’s Lip Lover ( a lipstick/gloss hybrid) more moisturising than some Laura Mercier lipsticks. I found that it had pretty good staying power…I could apply in the morning and it would last me till lunch. I will definately purchase more of these …there are probably one of the best lipsticks on the market. Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Clarins lipstick is just beautiful. My first purchase was Orange Fizz and wow what a great colour!! The formula is amazing, stays opaque and moisturised-looking all day. Their lip liners are also great.

Lovely packaging. I’ve mine in 747 “Rosy Nude”. The consistency is very nice. Extremely moisturizing & hydrates my lips wonderfully. They are usually stubborn & dry too, no matter what season we are in. As for the color, it’s sheer. It’s got a shine, but if you’re expecting a substantial color pay off (well, at least for this color), you may not receive such. However, the texture, hydration & overall quality are up to par w/ the amazing skin reputation Clarins has. Perfect day time / work place office lipstick indeed.

Lovely product. I purchased this in 04 Praline, and it’s gorgeous. Clarins lipsticks are some of the best in the business. If you’re looking for trendy matte or flat lipsticks, you won’t find it here. This Jolie Rouge line is very wearable…they are not densely pigmented, so they work with your natural lip color. So it never looks overdone or garish. They contain very small microglitters, which don’t show as glitter…just a nice glow. On women of a certain age, these are gorgeous…they make lips plump, moisturized and finished. I’d love to have one of each color. Pricey, yes….but you can’t find this quality at drugstore prices.

Gorgeous lipsticks with a very wearable finish. I’ve purchased quite a few high end lipsticks over the years, and Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick (particularly in the shade Clarins Red) has delivered the highest quality and most comfortable finish with stunning, richly pigmented colours.

This was my first “nice” lipstick purchase ever back in my late high school years, and I must say…after many years, I still somehow have it and it still works just as well! I know there’s a shelf life for makeup but somehow, this has just caused no problems at all and works even better than its many many predecessors in my collection (including Rouge Dior, Make Up For Ever, NARS lipstick, BareMinerals, YSL). All in all, a majority of the other brands have all dried my lips out to a point where it would crack (especially winter) which made me not use the lipstick as much as the colors were great. BareMinerals and YSL lipsticks would be the only ones that I found alright but YSL is still more drying than this and pricier, and I found BareMinerals to be just as moisturizing but end up smelling weird and the colors they offer are more subtle (though it is my go-to if I’m not feeling as up for an intense color). I still use my first tube of red, and it still works great.
Another thing to mention is that my lips tend to be very sensitive, although it’s gotten better over the years, which makes me a bit more hyperaware of my lipstick choices (especially Burt’s Bee chapstick which makes my lips blister up and itchy, and even Neutrogena somehow made my lips react in this way despite being hypoallergenic). At the peak of this allergic reaction, I found this lipstick and it saved me haha I loved it that much more for not killing my lips like everything else seemed to, and hasn’t failed me yet even after all of these years! I haven’t tried other Clarins lipstick lines but this particular one is a definite go!

Let me first say that my lips have lines; get chapped; have thinned with age; and now even have allergic reactions to some lippies. Here is a lipstick that takes care of all my lip issues, and beautifully. I apply this with no need of a lip liner and it stays put for hours. My lips feel soft and moist and I love the case as well. It does not last all day but who cares? I just reapply, and for me long wearing lippies are very drying. I use no gloss over or under and my lips look great even for my age! I love the Raspberry shade for every day. I have purchased some high end lipsticks recently and am kicking myself! They are no way as good as this Rouge Jolie formula IMHO! I am sticking with this.

Holy Grail of lipsticks right here! Have tried mac and Rimmel lipsticks before and none are as moisturising or as nicely textured. I have rose sorbet and a candy colour and it feels so nice on. It last well and acutally blends in and looks natural on. No stickiness and it feels really nice like an actual sorbet but in lipstick ha! Definitely worth a buy! Never buying another brand!

I absolutely love this lipstick in shade Baby Rose (712). This shade is the best soft pink lipstick I’ve ever owned. It is perfect for my NC20, neutral to warm complexion.
I’m really happy I purchased this after hearing about it in one of Blushingpixie’s videos because I’ve been searching for a flattering pale pink lipstick for many years. Most pale pink lipsticks that i’ve purchased, including MAC’s Cremesheen Creme Cup, have been too pale, matte, beige, or lavender on me, creating either a muddy complexion or corpse-like lips. I’ve wasted so much money on MAC and Revlon lipsticks thinking that there must be one pale pink shade that would suit me out of all of the shades they offer.
Baby Rose works for me because it is a perfect neutral pink shade: it is neither too warm, nor cool. I also love its subtle scent and shimmer, the rich texture, etc. I love this product so much that I also bought the shade “Pink Magnolia” (15) which is a beautiful sheer red with shimmer.
I’ve found that Clarins lipsticks in general work well on neutral complexions, offering a range of flattering and wearable colours. MAC lipsticks on the other hand have been a bit more hit and miss for me because the colours and textures always seem to be “extreme”: always drying, or too opaque, or the shades aren’t quite right, etc. The list goes on. For this reason, I will probably stop wasting money on MAC and continue purchasing Clarins lipsticks which have so far not disappointed.
