PROS: Even coverage, nice colour selection that suits a variety of complexions, non drying, easy application, nice formula, grape fragrance doesn’t linger too long (thank goodness).
CONS: Wears off easily if a person eats or has a beverage, but I still love it and reapply.
I will continue to purchase this and bought two more colours today.

These are fun lipsticks! I have 4 colors: Jealousy (a deep green), Night Queen (a navy blue), Nudist (a pinky brown nude), and Chalkin’ Pink (a lilac pink).
The finish on these lipsticks is satin or frosty. The bright colors like the green & blue are frosty. The mattes are satin & glossy. The bright colors are nicely pigmented. I really love these lipsticks. I always find them on clearance. That makes me think they might be discontinued soon unfortunately. I hope not. It’s hard to find bright, fun lipstick colors at the drugstore.

These are too frosty for my taste. I have glisten to me which is a frosty golden brown…definitely not for everyday use. It is very pretty tho. But like I said too frosty and looked horrible on me

I’ve been reluctant to try any more lip products from Hard Candy since I’ve had bad experiences with their lip gloss, but I stumpled upon the Fierce Effects lipsticks and wanted to give them a try. I was so glad that they at least put a sticker on it so I knew which ones were opened and which ones weren’t. I was going to get this pastel blue color, but I decided to go for more safe colors instead. I bought Galactica (a pinky/rose mauve) and Virtual Reality (cool toned dark brown). Both colors are pretty opaque as long as you don’t layer on too much lip balm beforehand and they’re both frosty. I particularly enjoy Virtual Reality because I’m on a brown lipstick kick. I recommend giving these a try, but I suggest having low expectations for some of the wackier colors just in case they’re bad. Also, they’re $5, so they’re not super expensive.
Update: I just got the shade Hit the Pavement, and it’s a very beautiful frosty greige (gray/beige). I also saw at Wal-Mart that they have a matte version if the original kind isn’t your favorite.

This review is for the lipstick in the color Thunder 1053. I was really hoping this would be a great lipstick because the packaging is awesome and it smells like candy plus it was cheap. I was disappointed though because of the application was like those 99 cent store lipsticks. It comes out very light and splotchy. Even if you apply multiple layers of it it still splotchy. It darkens but not enough to not be able to see your lip color underneath.

Oh Hard Candy, oh how you are hard to resist!
Imagine my glee when I saw a new set of lipsticks on the Hard Candy shelf, featuring a lot of the same colors as the Kat Von D Studded Kiss ($21), and packaging reminiscent of the Manic Panic Lethal Lipstick ($15). In fact, if these two lipstick types had wee cheap babies, this lipstick would be it.
Newly Berried is a beautiful lavender shade that is true to the color pop that is part of the packaging. This lipstick is very opaque. I find that it a little bit moisturizing on my dry lips. I found that because it is on wetter side, I need to do a little cleanup with my fingers. Probably, if I used a lip brush, it would be the perfect solution, but instead I just wipe the excess off at the edges. This is not a lipstick that dries down, so you don’t have to be really careful about where you put it in the first place.
The biggest drawback to this product is its grape soda scent. However, I don’t find the smell to be cloying or persistent.
For $5, this is a fun way to put a pop of spring on your lips that will last for about 2 hours and leave your lips on the softer side. I like to carry around a few of these colors and apply a different one on the dregs of the other. I wind up with a bit of ombre brony-ness this way. Of course, you can stick to just the lovely punny Newly Berried.
