TL/DR: Natural, gluten-free, beautiful. Not if you’re allergic to sesame.
These are beautiful, gluten-free, conditioning, moisturizing, gorgeous lipsticks, but they contain one of the major eight allergens. Sesame oil is one of the main ingredients. Sesame is in the top eight allergens.
Red Apple Lipstick and Monave make gluten free natural lipsticks without sesame. (Monave reformulated theirs for this reason; not all of Red Apple’s lippies are sesame-free, but some formulations are.)
Physician’s Formula, Ulta, and Almay make chemical-based glosses or lipsticks that say, “gluten-free” on the display, packaging and/or website. (And they are gluten-free, if somewhat artificial.)
If you’re allergic to sesame this is not for you.

Normally I don’t wear lipstick – I just haven’t liked the colors I tried, and I just wasn’t that into it. Now I am getting into lipsticks, and I wanted a natural brand – well, these come in shades to please anyone! And they sell samples, so I managed to find my perfect set of lipstick shades, they are truly so lovely and beautiful that I can’t wait to start wearing them. They go on creamy and even, and are highly pigmented, the colors really pop! I think this color range is more fun and varied than the ones I’ve seen in some other natural brands, so if you’re looking…check them out, try some samples!
One problem with these lipsticks though: I don’t know if the packaging is just flimsy, or if the product itself is weaker because of the ingredients, but these lipsticks do break more easily than others. Don’t drop these, they may break. May even break during shipping. I’m even going to be careful when applying, not placing too much pressure on them. So that’s the downside, they seem less sturdy. Removing one lippie for that.
p.s. If ordering directly from the company, I highly recommend trying out samples first – their website states that a) you can’t make any cancellations once you’ve submitted the order; b) you can’t receive a refund on shipping if you return the item; and c) if you send back an item because of ordering the wrong color or no longer wanting it, they will charge a 15% administrative fee.

These are affordable, mineral based lipsticks that are gluten free. The lipstick formula is creamy. My two favorite colors are Celestial and Paradise. I like to top Paradise lip color iwth 100% Pure brand lip gloss in Naked.
Honeybee gardens has a nice selection of colors. These are the colors I have:
Celestial: My favorite. It is a peachy tan with golden champagne shimmer.
Desire: A deep, rich warm orange-based red that is matte. This color is more orange than the color Romance.
Dream: A shimmery, neutral pink. Has too much silver glitter that remains on my lips after the lipstick has worn off.
Innuendo: A warm nude tan. Matte.
Paradise: A rosy brown shimmer with warm undertones.
Romance: A medium toned warm, matte red.
San Franciso: A frosted mauve rose with shimmer. Too frosty for me.
Soft Kiss: A soft bubble gum/Barbie pink shade. Matte.
Superstitious: Looks almost black in the tube, but is a very rich blackberry wine/aubergine color. I would have called this midnight purple.
Valentine: Matte raspberry pink.

I’m really impressed with this lipstick, my first Honeybee Gardens product. I have it in “Risque” and “Romance”, purchased for $13.99US at the local healthfood store.
Risque is really impressive! I highly recommend this color for people like myself, with olive skin with warm/golden undertones, brown eyes, and black hair. It’s a berry red that isn’t so “berry” that it ventures into “wine” territory. The coverage is very pigmented, matte, and mostly opaque. One coat is a little sheer but still quite pigmented. Formula is good, fairly moisturizing. Best of all, Risque is one of the two colors from this line that is totally VEGAN, meaning no carmine. A really lovely, non-toxic, earth friendly choice. I’m so impressed!
Romance is nice too, more moisturizing, a bit more sheer. Although pictures of the two lippies on the Honeybee site make Risque and Romance appear very similar, they are actually totally different. Romance is much lighter, a bluish / pinkish sheer red that goes on quite sheer. One swipe of it gives me a natural look. When I applied more layers of Romance, I saw the pigment more and decided that it was a little too fair for my olive skin. I think one swipe of it gives my lips a really nice tinted lip balm effect, but I would never wear this as a real “lipstick.” That said, if you are fair skinned, I think that Romance would probably really suit you.
Great job from Honeybee! Best of all, the EWG “Skin Deep” toxicity rating is 2, which means that I can wear these lipsticks and not feel gross about, heaven forbid, eating or drinking something. These lipsticks also received favorable toxicity ratings from Good Guide :O)
I think Risque is my new favorite lipstick!

Love this lipstick! I have Karma and it’s among the best nude lipsticks I own. Very opaque beigey color with a hint of peachy pink. Reminds me of MAC’s Myth. Of course the ingredients are fantastic and the price is affordable. In the picture i’m wearing it with nothing else, as you can tell it is a bit glossy and very pretty (excuse my gross lips haha). My only complaint is that it is a bit dry and hard to apply, I feel like I might break it in half by accident. It feels very moisturizing on the lips though!
Lasting power is about the same as any MAC lipstick, which is just okay. I don’t mind reapplying though so whatever haha.
Highly reccommend!

Love this lipstick. Best I’ve ever found, safe ingredients, very moisturizing, stays put for several hours. I can only order it online, haven’t found it locally (wish Ulta would carry it!). I can’t say how much I love this lipstick. Fantastic. It’s pretty much I’ll I’ve worn for the past 18-24 months.

I have to say this is by far much better quality than any MAC lipstick ever made. I got the shade Karma and wow, it’s the perfect peachy pink nude with full coverage. The ingredients are amazing and moisturizing. I have naturally dry lips so no lipstick unless it’s way too shiny, really helps my lips. But this is a matte lipstick and at least doesn’t dry me out like MAC mattes which are just painful. It’s more creamy and more pigmented than MAC creme d nude, a little more peach than pink too. If you like pale full coverage nudes, this is the best and believe me, I have tried them ALL. This one is made with natural ingredients if that matters to you, the first few ingredients in this are oils. I bought mine at New Seasons.

This is a really nice natural lipstick. I have bought honeybee lipsticks about four times over the years. They are pretty pigmented and moist with all natural ingredients. I have one now in Risque, it’s a dark berry color. Makes a great lip stain too, you can top with gloss. Feels really good on, it’s not long lasting as MAC, but is a lip balm/lipstick in one.
Pkg is really nice and on the lipstick cap top it has a cute little honey bee.
