This is a product I’ve had for ages and am just getting around to reviewing now – honestly, at the moment I’m desperately trying to finish it so I can get my money’s worth before I get rid of it, because I do want it gone without being wasteful.
It was the color of this lipstick that originally drew me in, but when applied to the lips it’s very patchy. Multiple layers won’t save it.
It also bleeds and transfers pretty badly. If I eat while wearing this lipstick, even if I only dab at my lips very lightly with a tissue (to stay tidy while eating), it gets everywhere! Not a pretty sight. If I drink out of a bottle, the lipstick tends to transfer upward to the area under my nostrils, too. Also not a pretty sight. This isn’t the kind of matte lipstick that stays put.
The only redeeming quality this lipstick has is that it’s personally not as suffocating/drying for me as it has been for other people – it feels comfortable enough on my lips but please be warned that this is my personal experience and I’ve read from other people that they found the formula quite drying and not breathable.
You’ve probably guessed this already, but definitely not repurchasing.

I have been a fan of the Kat von D everlasting liquid lipsticks for awhile now and Nosferatu was no exception. This beautiful red shade is perfect for me and the lipstick has very strong staying power as long as you avoid accidentally touching your lips. I discovered that a slight brush of a finger can smear it. Other than that it held up decently against food and drink, although touch-ups were required. I would definitely buy this shade again, as it has become one of my favorite reds.

This color is amazing. You can build it up from a nice red red, to a really dark red color…. but it’s patchy whatever you do. And it doesn’t wear nice. It smudges in the corners of your mouth, and doesn’t even last through tea time ( 🙁 ! )
I will still wear this, but only at very special occasions where I won’t be drinking of eating. This does dry your lips out a bit and if you have dry lips, it will show, but overall, the wear was nice and lightweight, a bit dry towards the end and didn’t layer that well… So sad this didn’t work out that well, and well… my money :'(
EDIT: To avoid the patchiness: Apply a red lipliner before ( I use MAC Cherry), and apply a THIN layer on top (whipe the wand of it needed). This helped the pathiness. Also: WORK QUICKLY and do not one part of your lip dry before you finish it. If you begin bottom lip, finich bottom lip and do not press your lips together, then start on one side and work your way across. Do not go over again. Good luck 🙂

Firstly, this colour is lovely. On my skin (quite fair) it is almost a vampy deep red. When first applied, this sets very quickly into place, and dries down to a matte finish.
I find this product to be very drying on the lips- so much so I kept thinking it was flaking off, as it ended up with a weird texture that I can’t describe, but this was uncomfortably drying- so much so I didn’t wear it long on most occasions.
I tried using a lip balm under the product, but I found that this prevented it from drying down fully so it didn’t set.
On the one occasion I did wear this all night, it lasted throughout many drinks and for several hours (at least 6) without being touched up.
Yes, this has staying power. But I would not repurchase this purely because it’s so uncomfortable.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour and was excited about buying my first Kat Von D makeup item. The very first day I applied it for work I was completely enamoured by the lush, vamp, intensely pigmented colour. It is stunning. I kept glancing at my lips on the drive in to work and was so pleased. But after about 4 hours, the inside of my lips were bare and dry and scaly. I never have issues with scaly, dry lips so this was weird. But I wanted so much to love it. So I tried again, but this time I used a lip scrub the night before and again the morning of, and used my usual pre-lipstick moisturising balm. It still happened. So the third day I tried my usual Hourglass Icon long wear liquid lipstick to see if something was just up with my lips. Nope. That stayed put and didn’t dry my lips in any shape or form. Sadly I can’t get on with this no matter how much I really want to!

I heard that Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipstick was meant to be long lasting despite slightly drying, so I bought Nosferatu to test it out since I wanted a super long lasting lipstick for the winter time.
I feel like I’ve watched so many reviews that gas up the KVD lipsticks claiming that it doesn’t transfer nor does it rub off but in my own experience there is a lot of transfer even if i drink something despite applying the lipstick an hour ago.
What I was surprised about was how buildable and creamy the formula was which is one of a few of its redeeming qualities, it looks very smooth on the lips yet it feels as if you aren’t wearing anything.
As for the colour, it comes up as a nice slightly dark red in photographs but looks very very dark almost like Vampira.
I don’t think I would buy this specific colour again but I am definitely interested in purchasing her other colours to see whether there is a difference in lipstick longevity. Perhaps a Bow And Arrow will be more forgiving?

not a big fan of Kat Von D personally but it doesn’t hurt to try her lipsticks.
I must say that i love the formula & colour of it! It glides on smoothly & the texture is one of the best.
It’s quite long lasting, it’s still on except the middle part of my lips after eating. This is the only con for the lipstick because I own lipsticks that really stayed after eating. Not sure it’s because of the color or the formula since it’s red. I always have problem with reds.
Not sure if it’s smudge-proof once it has dried because red lipsticks always tend to smudge, like always. It doesn’t matter the brand..
nonetheless, great product, would recommend to my friends for sure!

This I would say, is the perfect wearable red on my pale skin. I have noticed that this particular colour though tends to make my teeth look a bit yellow- perhaps something about my teeth instead of the colour. I really enjoy this with a classic black and white pin-up look and some slick cat-eyes. This colour glides on quite well but in terms of transfer, I find it doesn’t stick as well as LUV and I noticed that it crumbled on the inside of my lips after some food and drinks- but it didn’t smear when I got kissy. I could see this colour looking great on any skin-tone really, probably my most wearable shade although it is quite a dark red.

I’m not crazy about this one – the colour is really nice but it doesn’t seem to set completely dry on my lips. It remains tacky and sometimes slips off my lips onto my chin… super embarrassing. It lasts max 5 hours on me, and when I eat it does come off.
I also have a small gripe with the packaging… the wand kind of pops up out of the tube and every freaking time it scares me.

I FINALLY GOT IT!! Oh my goodness, after waiting for this come in at the local Sephora for the past two months, I finally got my hands on it after my buddy there found one lonesome tube in the back.
And my oh my. I love this red. This is the perfect, vampy blood red that I’ve been searching for in a liquid lipstick FOREVER. I love it. Luuuurve it!
Like the majority of the Everlasting liquid range, this stuff holds on for dear life. It’s not hydrating, but not terribly drying, and it’s mostly transfer- and budge-proof.
I love the slim, pretty tube, and the standard doe foot applicator is perfect for getting a clean, crisp edge.
The price at $20 isn’t bad really, considering how expensive high-end makeup has gotten.
I may have to hop on Sephora’s site and nab a couple of these as backup, because this is quite possibly my favorite red lip of all time.
