What you need to know: very bright, insanely pigmented, super-matte & OPAQUE.
When I saw this in Sephora today I had to try it. Seemed like a semi-bright, medium pink w/tons of blue in it – right up my alley. I applied it in the cave-like lighting that is Sephora Pru (Boston) and *thought* it looked great.
I should’ve realized something was amiss when I received a few startled glances before I even left Sephora.
On my way to Saks *several* businessmen-types looked at me & did double-takes! I know what you’re thinking (“poor thing is delusional”) but hear me out here. The looks were not the good kind. They were looks that said “that shade is too bright & too pigmented & I can’t process it, & it is causing confusion.” Well, they were either thinking that or, “I wonder how much she gets for an hour…”
I figured all of this out when I walked into the bright lights of Saks & realized I could see my lips in the mirror from 30 feet away!?! This is the brightest, yet deepest, blue-pink you will ever see. It screams! The brightness is compounded by the fact that it is MATTE MATTE MATTE. I couldn’t wipe it off fast enough.
Having said that, if you can pull it off, it’s one helluva color.
