I’ve had a hard time locating any info on this brand: web searches suggest it’s a line from Isaac Mizrahi, but apart from Hautelook there doesn’t seem to be any major merchandiser that stocks it. Nonetheless, going by the few positive reviews on MUA plus one Youtube review, I bought three of their lip products from Hautelook recently, including this Pure Lip Color lipstick in Muse. It’s a matte, bright true red, richly pigmented, and doesn’t dry out my lips. I’m very pleased.

I purchased Temptress from Hautelook, this is intense cranberry/crimson red leaning a touch cool, opaque matte with the faintest herbal/lavender scent. Oh my! If this is what the Pure Lip color line from here is like don’t walk run if intense matte is your thing. I have to say I was taken aback when I applied this to my lips just before picking hubby up at the train. I forgot I applied this and after dinner my lips were still pigmented and full on crimson. Not a color or formula for the faint of heart or non theatrical. I’m very fair complected and blond but, I think this color would look better on someone with darker hair and skintone. I will wear this during evening holiday parties but sadly I know I can never blow through an entire tube in my lifetime. But, if lost or destroyed I’d rebuy. Wears evenly and does not stain lips. Glorious product.

This lip color is highly pigmented and goes on super smooth and makes my lips feel full and healthy. They also have a minty taste/smell that can help freshen your breath! I recommend using the coordinating Lip Definer shades to make sure the color doesn’t budge.
Muse is a rich red shade and coordinates with Lip Definer in shade 7.
Chanteuse is a righ neutral magenta shade and coordinates with Lip Definer in shade 8.
