I wanted to like it- I got Beetroot which is a fabulous colour. Unfortunately I wore it before going out for dinner. It was sticky and wore off quickly and unevenly. Note to self: keep to matte or stains for meals!

I bought this in “Chutney” today and I think it might be the most flattering lipstick color I have ever worn. I’m NW20 or so right now and this is a dressy MLBB shade on me. Five stars from me for the color, high pigmentation, and semigloss satiny finish, which I like very much.
The caveat, as others have mentioned, is that his does not perform the way most “liquid” lipsticks do. It’s not particularly long-standing and it’s not matte like, for instance, Anastasia’s version of liquid lipstick. That’s not a minus for me, as I find mattes tend to make me look a little severe and drawn. I would say it lasts better than a typical gloss and for me, much better than a standard cream lipstick.

I have several shades of this formula and I really like it overall. Do not buy if you are looking for a true Liquid Lipstick – this is not matte, it does not “set”, and it will stay semi-glossy. It’s a little bit sticky, but not bad. The pigmentation is very good and it’s wears comfortable and fades in a way that is still attractive. This lasts 3-4 hours on my lips.
Will probably purchase other shades in the future.

I could have sworn I reviewed this lipstick before, but I guess I didn’t. I suppose that’s a good thing, since it’s given me months to really get a good handle on how I feel about it. And I can say that months later, I’m still loving this lip color.
I have the shade “Chutney”, which is a pretty, darkened pink nude shade. It’s very flattering and natural without being a true nude, but it’s not too brown if you’ve got light to medium olive skin. On me, I find it to be the perfect neutral that I keep reaching for over and over. If you’re familiar with the Amuse Bouche lipstick in “Pepper”, this shade is nearly exactly the same. It works great with any eye look if you ask me, from simple to smokey.
The formula is not a typical liquid lipstick in that it doesn’t dry down matte. In fact, it stays rather glossy, drying down only to a satiny finish over extended wear. I do find that this lasts a good while on me as long as I’m not eating anything big. There’s a lot of transfer, so keep that in mind. I think this is why Bite erred on the side of caution by calling this “Liquified” instead of a liquid lipstick, though it still seems to have caused some confusion. A lip liner might be helpful if your lips are prone to feathering.
I don’t find these to be drying, but they aren’t extremely hydrating either. If I prep with a balm first, my lips don’t suffer after removing this. While wearing it, it makes my lips look rather plush, as though it fills in any lines without settling.
One dip in the tube is all you need to cover both lips, as the applicator is an angled, elongated doefoot that dispenses the perfect amount of product. It’s highly pigmented, so going in with a second coat isn’t likely to be necessary.
At $24, it seems like a hefty investment for a lipstick, but you get a whopping 7.15g of product! Seeing as the stick version of the Amuse Bouche range tops out at a bit over 4g (which is still a good amount of lipstick), I’d say $24 is really not a bad price.
I’m interested in trying more shades from this range, as it seems to have expanded a bit, with a considerable amount of shades having been added over the past few months.

The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks are highly pigmented lipstick that doesn’t set to a matte or dry finish. For me, many of the colors are a little on the dark side, especially since the formula doesn’t set like other matte lipsticks do. These are meant to stay on the lips but not to dry down so they stay a little wet. I have very thin lips so it can be hard to work with darker colors such as these. I do appreciate that the formula doesn’t have much of a taste to it and feels very non-drying on my lips and I like to layer these over other matte lipsticks to give them more staying power. I have one shade, Arrowroot, which is a beautiful warm orange. I really like it, and have been wearing it almost every day since I bought it. It’s also made me interested in buying more shades, and different Bite Beauty products (this is my first purchase).
It wears comfortably, is moisturizing, doesn’t bleed, distributes color evenly, and fades evenly. It’s not very long-lasting, but it doesn’t claim to be. I don’t mind re-applying after eating because it doesn’t re-apply patchy which has been my issue with other liquid lipsticks when re-applying.
It’s a creamy lipstick with a satin finish, which is beautiful for spring/summer time.
I’ll definitely repurchase and try out more of them!

I generally really like Bite lip products (cruelty free, food grade ingredients, Canadian!) so I knew I had to give this a try when it launched. First of all, you need to know that this is not a matte liquid lipstick. Like the name says, it’s literally a liquified lipstick so it isn’t transfer proof and it doesn’t dry down. Think of a way more moisturizing version of the too faced melted liquified long wear lipstick (the one in the squeezy tube with the sponge applicator).
I actually think it lasts very well for what it is. It’s VERY pigmented and highly moisturizing on my lips. The consistency is somewhat thick but I can easily deal with that given all the benefits I just mentioned (plus I think it helps prevent bleeding). I bought the holiday 4 piece mini lip set and I still can’t get over the pigmentation and vividness of the shades, even the nudes! I dont typically use lip liner and I dont really need to with this one as long as I don’t over apply the product. I got mine during the VIB rouge sale but Sephora has the set on sale right now for $17 CAD (plus another 20% off until the end of the year!) and you get 4 shades. They all work out well on my NC25 skintone. I highly recommend you check these out if any of the above intrigues you.

These should not be confused with actual classic matte liquid lipsticks that set and look dry on your lips. These are “melted” lipsticks which give you an insane amount of coverage, pigmentation and wear beautifully well throughout the day.
They have more of that glossy, semi-satin finish but you can blot them down to a pure satin finish (use sparingly, because little goes a long way). Even their bold berry shades are never patchy and last incredibly well. I love shade Marsala in particular and layer it over the brand’s berry lipsticks to make them that extra bit dramatic and cool. I actually wrote an entire “how to” application guide with swatches here ( in case you want more tips on how to make these that extra bit bulletproof.
Will definitely repurchase.

I bought several of these (Eclair, Chutney, Flambé) and returned all three. Unfortunately, the Sephora testers were filthy and I couldn’t be certain people didn’t double dip or apply the gloss directly to their lips, so I ordered them online.
First off, they have the same orange creamsicle smell as the Amuse Bouche lipsticks. This is a con for me because I find the smell nauseating.
The formula is NOT long lasting, and leaves me with a ring of color along my lip line. It doesn’t wear off evenly but is moderately moisturizing. The formula is pigmented and semi-glossy, and a little gloss goes a long way. I had some issues with this traveling outside of my lipline, but layering it over a Bite Multistick helped to anchor it.
The main problem I had was none of the colors I selected were what I was looking for. IME, Bite’s color range tends to run too cool and dark for my pigmented rosy lips. Eclair was a cool-toned medium pink, while Chutney was a cool mauve with brown tones. My DH commented it made my lips look bruised. Flambé was too bright for its messy texture and I was looking for something less high maintenance, especially since it’s a red lip color.
I wish I didn’t have to return these because I like Bite’s philosophy of using food grade ingredients, but I just didn’t like these liquefied lipsticks.
