Love this red lipstick from MAC! Bought it a while back in spring as it was a limited edition ( hope it comes back) and part of the Lunar Chinese New Year collection, hence the attractive case ; shiny and red with pretty designs.
The price was around $20 -$25( CAD) ; the packaging is sleek ; the colour itself is a straight up cool based red (read: candy red ; jellybean red ; lollipop red) , very similar to Ruby Woo but a tad lighter; as a result, the Lotus Light shade has a slight pinkish undertone ( still cool based though). Great colour for everyday as this red is a not super bold. Staying power is great and even though this is a limited edition, Ruby Woo is super close ( if you blot once or twice after applying Ruby Woo it will be almost the exact same shade as Lotus Light); also Mac has a whole range of reds that go from cool to warm to neutral and everything in between, so Lotus Light can be easily substituted by other Mac lipsticks. 5 lippies. Gorgeous colour. Finding red lipsticks are harder than they seem ( like finding the perfect white t- shirt lol) , but Mac has practically every single shade of red and the pigments are strong; the make up artists there are super helpful as well. Worth the extra $$ since the staying power is strong.
