Before Artdeco I didn’t know such things existed. It’s a mix of fixing spray and glue. So it’s like glue for your lips.
It works best with:
– lipsticks which are not creamy AF
– lipsticks with a semi-matte to matte finish
– long lasting lip products, like liquid lipsticks
Doesn’t work well with:
– shiny lipsticks (except those who have a good pigmentation, but carefully apply a light layer and don’t shut your lips til it’s dry)
– classic lipgloss
– colored lip balms
Might work with:
– lip powder (I have no experience with lip powder and Artdeco Magic Fix yet, that’s why I keep it under this category but I’m sure it will prolong the time when you wear your lip powder)
– lip product with a moussey consistency (NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream) that dry down
01. Apply your lip product as usual, blot your lips lightly (optional)
02. Apply a thin (!) layer of Magic Fix, you can apply it where you want on your lips, you don’t need to cover your lips fully with it but it is recommended
03. After application, don’t shut your lips for max. 2-3 minutes, if you feel it has dried then it’s ok if you stop earlier
04. Now this is important, too: Lick your lips gently with your tongue to reduce the uncomfortable feeling of dryness
The Magic Fix makes your lip product last about 2-3 hours longer. It also fades with the lip product if you eat oily food.
I feel a tingling sensation when I apply it.
But is it worth it? If you need some extra hours and don’t have sensitive skin, then yes.
If there is a magic fix (maybe liquid latex but that wouldn’t work well) which can resist oil and fix every lipstick and even lipgloss I’d switch immediately to that. But as we know, this is impossible to exist.
One more note: Magic Fix could turn your lip product, if it’s shiny, to a more matte finish. But it depends on the lip product.

I’m sure like myself and thousands of other women you are passionate about achieving the perfect look when applying your make-up and making it last as long as possible once you have. Today I’m sharing my review of the Artdeco Magic Fix lipstick sealer.
I have to be honest, up until recently I never knew such a product existed. I remember when I first heard about using eye primers I thought it was just another money making product that wasn’t really needed. How wrong was I?! Now I use it every time I apply my eye-liner to prevent it creeping and to get more staying power and better colour pay off out of my eye-shadows.
Magic Fix fixes your lippie in place, keeping contours sharp and ensures you leave no lippie marks on glasses or your teeth! The clear liquid is brushed onto your lips after applying and blotting your lipstick and it seals the colour surprisingly well, ok I was a skeptic! It doesn’t affect the lipstick colour or texture, but it gives a semi-matte appearance. There is a slight tingling sensation after applying the liquid which is to be expected because the product contains alcohol but it was not uncomfortable at all. If you are a lipstick addict, or are just passionate about making your makeup last as long as you do, then this product is for you!

Magic Fix fixes lipstick in place, keeps contours sharp, does not run and leaves no unsightly marks on glasses and teeth. After application you have to let it dry and it burns a bit (alcohol, hmmm), but it absolutely worths it. It doesn’t affect the lipstick colour nor texture, but it gives a semi-matte finish. It has a slightly drying affect (-1 lippie), so watch your lips not to get dried after using it and use lipbalm during your beauty sleep. If you are a lipstick addict, this product is a complete must!
