When applying the liquid lipsticks, my lips started to sting and did cause some drying. I prefer the Kat Von D. Only good thing about the Huda beauty lipsticks are the nice choice of colours

I received Muse in a holiday set with Trophy Wife lip color and Trophy Wife pencil–a good value at $24. Anyway, Muse is described as “an elegant, muted rose,” and that’s quite accurate. It’s a lovely, cool, medium-deep shade, perfect for everyday wear. It’s packaged in a frosted lipgloss-style tube with a black cap. The doefoot applicator is perfect–it makes it easy to apply a thin layer of product accurately (which is enough for opaque coverage), and the amount dispensed is just right to cover the lips. There’s a pleasant, light scent that’s slightly sweet and vanilla-y, but not at all intrusive. This is not a true matte–it has a bit of slip after applied–so it does transfer a bit. However, the tradeoff is lips that don’t feel parched while wearing or after removing it. This wore well for me for four hours with just a bit of fading at the center of the lips (with eating and drinking). It stood up well to an application of lip balm, and reapplication didn’t create a crusty mess. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised with this product–application, comfort, wear, and shade–and would absolutely repurchase. It’s the most comfortable liquid matte lipstick I’ve tried yet.
