I do keep reaching for this product. It does moisturize very well and does add kind of a plumpness to my lips. I use it with a super bright lip pencil by Bobbi Brown (Raspberry) and it looks really nice. As one of the Sephora reviews said, it works better than any chapstick. 🙂

At the time of purchase (12/17), this new product from Josie Maran came in 3 shades. I ordered this buttery lip stick in what looked like the darkest shade, “Grapefruit.” When it arrived, I was initially disappointed – I was expecting a darker, more berry-like shade. Admittedly, the name “Grapefruit” should have tipped me off – it is exactly the color of a pink grapefruit. But I tend to take names with a grain of salt. As I was applying it, my first thought was, “This is too pink. Pass.” But then my lips began to tingle, and the scent – pure grapefruit – was intoxicating. Once applied, it looks very much in line with the “no make-up make-up” aesthetic. Even though I initially thought I would be returning it, I found myself reaching for and reapplying it more and more. And suddenly I didn’t want to return it anymore. It does seem to slightly plump up the lips once applied. It also promises to aid in long-term plumping with continual use, which I can’t speak to. Although I did say I would repurchase above, I likely would only repurchase if they added a darker shade to their offerings. However, I do hope they’d keep the grapefruit scent, regardless of what they might call any prospective new shade.
