i LOVE these! i have had 14 flavors overall and loved them all! i’m so glad they’re back on etsy because they make my absolute favorite lip balms. the packaging is beautiful and fun to play with, the scents are spot on, and the formula is silky and creamy. the owner has changed the formula of the balms but they feel nearly identical to the old formula. overall love them and would highly recommend!

Dill pickle is amazing! Spot-on scent with a slightly sweet taste. Excellent formula, lasts long, hydrates without making my lips peel. I think VS make my favorite lip balm formula. Just don’t like the little tins they come in. The lids slide off too easily and I don’t like dipping my fingers into it.

I love Vintage Sister lip balms! In general, they are a good quality balm with excellent mostuirizing properties.
The flavors/tastes are true to their names. Sometimes it takes a few uses for a true scent to emerge, so if you don’t initially like something, give it a bit of a chance. For instance, at first Watermelon smelled very artificial, like Hubba Bubba. But now it is a refreshing watermelon scent.
I won’t review every flavor I have, because it’s many. But my favorites are Trick or Treat, Poison Apple (both Fall ’11 limited edition), Honey and Peace of Mind. Trick or Treat literally smells like a bunch of candy. It’s awesome!

After watching pinkiecharms review on these, I ordered them for myself.
1. Watermelon
2. Gummy Bear
3. Cherry Cola
I finished Cherry Cola and ended up throwing away Watermelon because it began to smell funky. Am currently using Gummy Bear, which is my favorite! I recommend these to every chapstick junkie out there. It’s absolutely fabulous, great ingredients, moisturizes well, taste/smell is awesome, huge amount of product in the tin, smells true to its flavor.
The only downside to these would have to be the packaging. I don’t know too many people who like to dig their fingers into their makeup, is just not sanitary but I will turn a blind eye to this because what the tin contains is just too great!

After lemming these for several months, I finally broke down and ordered five lip balms: Chai Tea, Circus Peanut, Frosting, PB & J, and Strawberry. There isn’t one out of these five that I don’t love, to be quite honest!
These balms are very moisturizing, and they don’t feel sticky or waxy. My lips always feel significantly softer and smoother because of these. These last quite a long time throughout the day, despite the fact that the consistency is somewhat thin. Because of this, I don’t feel like I have to use a lot of product, which means it will take forever for me to finish these.
As for the scents and flavors, the scents are strong and they’re pretty tasty as well! When I first started using these, though, I didn’t really detect much of a taste in any. Once I went deeper into the product, though, I was able to taste a lot! All of the scents and flavors are very true to their names, which is actually quite surprising sometimes (PB & J, for example).
The tins are absolutely adorable, and they make me want to start collecting! Some may dislike the type of balms that come in tins, but I tend to prefer them. For some reason, all of the balms that come in tins work on my lips better than the ones in tubes. I don’t mind using my fingers to apply my lip balm if the balm works better.
I highly recommend trying these balms, unless you absolutely detest balms in tins. They’re adorable, they smell great, they taste yummy, and they make my lips feel great!

I’m a lip balm addict, it’s an essential, the pre-step for lip gloss and lipstick. I’m very picky though, I try hard to stay away from the drugstore sisters. Instead I shoot for the little guys, the sellers on etsy and eBay. While on youtube searching for reviews one day, I ran into ‘pinkiecharm’. She seemed straight forward, and was raving about vintage sister. But I needed more reviews, which I found upon search.
Now I can’t say I’ve ever been fully happy with home made lip balms I’ve bought, some seem slick and oily. Barely last, and tastes nothing like the flavor. Also, major packaging issues. Nonetheless, I was drawn in by vintage sister. The reviews, precious packaging, and savory sounding flavors, got me.
After a few cart fillings, and un-fillings, I finally decided to buy some. My package had come today, and I think it took 3-4 days. I was stoked when they arrived, in a very cute pink pouch, and business card. I bought orange dream, caramel, cotton candy, and circus peanut.
My favorite treat in the world, is cotton candy. And I’ve bought so many cotton candy balms, that leave me bitter/sweet. THIS THOUGH, smelled like sweet cotton candy, or is the closest scent I’ve come close to. It’s a faint baby blue color, which doesn’t pick up on the lips. The balm is hard, but not in the bad way where no product comes off. It’s hard, but creamy to the tip, and filled to the brim. The product is dreamy, at first I’ll admit I thought it might be awful, but it melts nicely. With very little product, my lips are smooth, slightly glossy, and well coated. It also lasts awhile! It’s been on my lips for sometime now, and stuck through a few spoonfuls of ice cream.
Regardless, the product itself, is great. Flavors aside, it does the lips well. BEST, lip balm I’ve ever tried. And until I try other flavors, I have a feeling cotton candy will always be my all time favorite (I want to buy more).
Orange dream, is exactly as described and smells true to a creamsicle. And this is probably going to be my second all time favorite, because it’s my other favorite treat. The product pro’s are the same.
Caramel was a little hard to pick up on, but still holds a nice smell, I’m just unsure if it’s true to the smell. Tastes good though.
The next one is circus peanut, and it smells good, but holds a lot of banana. The rest of the scents, are somewhat hard to pick up on in it. I heard raves about it, so I bought it, despite not being a big banana lover. It tastes true to what they said, but I’m unsure if I’ll use it that much, or if it will grow on me. It’s not the product itself, more just my preference towards scents and flavors.
I should mention that her flavors aren’t disgustingly overwhelming. Very faint. But as I said earlier, GREAT lip balms.

Update::Being a lip balm addict I was excited to try these after all the great reviews I had heard. Though i’m rather picky with my lip balms. I hate all the drugstore ones, I really do.. Brands like Chapstick etc. tend to be waxy, drying to the lips, hard to apply and you’re left with lips that feel as if they were tortured. So I stick to natural ones made by the small companies, like Vintage Sister. Vintage Sister is a a company out of Illinois that makes lips balms in a vast array of flavors. The lip balms come in cute little slide tins (which are filled to the brim.) and have cute characters labels on them, which I think are quite adorable. They have two lines of flavors. Lip lickers and lip indulgence. The lip lickers are the scents that reminds us of our childhood memories and the lip indulgence are the more adult like scents. The consistency and the ingredients are the same it’s just that they’re separated into Lip Lickers and Lip Indulgence. IMO, my favorite line of their lip balms are the Lip lickers flavors. The scents I have are Blueberry Cheesecake: this one smells like cream cheese and blueberries, at first I wasn’t very fond of this one but it has become my favorite of the ones I currently have. Circus Peanut: this one smells more like banana, though on their webpage they describe it as bananas, marshmallows, and orange though I don’t see where the orange takes place.. Pina Colada: this one smells just like the name pineapple and coconut, if you have ever tried a pina colada you’ll know this one is true to its name that’s why this is also a favorite on my list. Margarita: It was the only one from the ones I have that didn’t have almost any scent to it but that went away after a couple of uses.. now it smells like lime and lots of lime. Root Beer: I love root beer and so I thought I was going to love this balm and I wasn’t wrong. This one smells exactly like the A&W root beer soda with maybe a hint of cream. I love it. This might be one that might replace my favorite. They leave your lips moisturized for quite a while and before it even wears off you’ll be wanting to reapply just to smell the goodness again. At fist I admit I thought these where going to be nauseating, where you would want to puke from the harsh smell, like other balms out there. But was I wrong, they’re far from that. They aren’t waxy, or sticky, I love the consistency of them. The balm is hard at first when having been stored, though the texture is rather smooth and creamy (especially after it’s been warmed up a bit in your hand or pocket), and can be applied fairly easy.. All have a faint taste which is true to their flavors. Plus for once I don’t mind using my fingers to apply.. It doesn’t leave that sticky weird feeling behind. I heard about them from Pinkiecharm on youtube and had to try them since she was so convincing. And after reading other reviews I decided to give them a try and don’t regret it. These are my HG lip balms. Overall, I think they are worth it, they’re really great. I really want to try more. I’m wanting to get the cotton candy along with one of the trios (the At The Movies one) but I know that new flavors will come and i’ll want them too so i’m trying to wait. P.S. The shipping doesn’t take long like 3-4 days, which IMO is rather quick comparing to others.

i just bought my vintage sister lip balm in Root beer, Candy Cane, and Divatini. they all smell sooo good and sooo true. it moisturize my lips really good and although it wears off i still can feel it moisturizing. it’s not waxy, not sticky at all.just really smooth. i don’t like the package (any package which i have to dip in my finger cos it makes my finger sticky). but this is not sticky on my finger. but i don’t mind this time because i loooovveee itt!!! root beer smells like root beer (d’ooh), with candy cane i really smell the peppermint. with divatini, i scent a balance smell of sourness and sweetness from berries. and yes, i will buy it again (this is the kind of product that i would like to collect them all one day).

I love these lip balms, the formula is really creamy and it stays on your lips for a really long time. The pricing is great even when its international shipping like myself. They also offer product of the month at a discounted price which is handy to try new flavors. All orders come in a pink mesh bag which seems very personalised and sweet. The tins are easy to slide and are very compact. Smaller than what i first thought but the product goes a long way.
Lip Indulgence range is geared towards adult flavors like alcoholic drinks or party food.
From that range I have
Candy Kiss: This flavor is more subtle than the others and you can’t smell it first off. It’s only until you have melted to product with your finger that the scent comes out. It is very hard to describe this one but it is not similar to its description to me as the website says. It reminds me of the strawberry pink filling in milk chocolate.
Frosting: Stronger on that traditional vanilla bean scent than buttercream but thats a good thing. It smells like it has a hint of brown sugar to me too which is very pleasant. Stays true when on the lips too.
Orange Truffle: Fairly strong scent. Not the real orange citrus but the kind that typical dark choc orange you buy from the store. These chocolate based flavors are the only ones that leave a weird taste in my mouth.
Choc Raspberry: Similar to the previous leaves a weird taste behind but smells great. Strong enough on the raspberry that its at the same level as the chocolate. I swear there are shimmers in this one when it hits the light.
*Caramel Cream: Perfect caramel taste. Tastes even better to lick off your lips as its sugary sweet. Even my boyfriend uses this one in the winter. Not too heavy on the cream but easy to distinguish from straight up caramel. My favorite one for sure
From the Lip Lickers Range i have
Gummy Bear: Straight off the bat the scent is by far the strongest and the best smelling one to me. It smells more like of a concentrated sugar than gummy bear, reminds me strongly of starburst cherry fruit chew. The scent doesnt transfer to your lips as well as some of the others which is a slight downfall.
Circus Peanut: The scent is fairly on the money here. Smells just like that artificial banana flavor in the candy. The scent could be stronger to me but it transfers onto the lips fairly well. Has the cutest picture of an elephant on it too. (limited edition summer collection)

I’m hooked on the 1970’s, so I was looking around for lip balms that resembles the Village Lip Lickers, then I came across these. I have this in watermelon, strawberry and winter mint. These balms are very moisturizing. Surprisingly, these balms do a fantastic job at getting dead skin off lips when applied before bed, and whipped away in the morning, and the ingredients are all natural. I wish the scent in the blams were stronger and resembled the flavors much better. I will purchase more in different flavors, because these balms are great at moisturizing.
