It conditions a bit, but not for long. You have to re-apply every hour. It works well as a base for matte lipstick, that’s how I keep using it. Nivea lipbalm performs better for chapped lips.

This lip treatment did not improve the condition of my lips and it also didn’t even sustain the condition of my lips. After 2 days of using it, my lips felt more dry, raw and uncomfortable than I can ever remember them being before. Curious, I looked at the ingredients and was surprised to see that plastic is the first thing listed. I tossed it and put on some trusty old Carmex – instant relief!
In sum, this is the worst lip balm I’ve ever used and I’m glad that I didn’t pay full price. It was so terrible that it makes me question La Roche-Possay

I have eczema around my mouth and my lips gets extremely dry and cracked especially when I have a cold.
I mainly got this for 2 reason, 1. the reputation of the brand. 2. it didn’t have petroleum.
in terms of moisturising, I suppose it leaves the lips feeling soft and not greasy for around 1/2 hour at a time.
*However*..randomly looking at the list of ingredients and realise that the very FIRST ingredient is plastic. Literally plastic.
..not so sure about this product, not sure it’s worth the money either for synthetic ingredients with a bit of shea butter mixed in.

I love this lip balm. I find it to be the right consistency to dab on throughout the day and it sinks in to my lips quickly enough so that I can apply it just five minutes before putting on lip liner or lipstick. It goes on clear, doesn’t smell, and provides just enough moisture. The package is nice and sturdy too. (My pet peeve is tops that pop off exposing lip balms and lipsticks to every piece of lint in my purse. Ick.) In terms of price, this is another European import that is insanely marked up for the U.S. market. I picked this up in a parapharmacie in Paris as a two-pack for EUR 5. While I love this product, there is no way I’d buy it in the US.

Don’t waste your money. This stuff is horrible. It’s not moisturizing. My lips STILL feel dry after putting coats of this on, and I wake up the next morning with dry, flaked lips (I put it on before bed especially). I just went through a tube of the Bioderma Atoderm lip chap and it costs $5.99 and it worked miracles compared to this crap which costs $14.99. Not worth it. Mines a full tube and I’m throwing it out.

I bought Nutritic because I live in a very cold area and need super lip protection.
It isn’t mineral oil or wax based (cera microcristallina). That means it doesn’t sit on top of the lips, it actually sinks in and moisturizes. The downside is that it isn’t much of a barrier against the wind and cold temperatures, you would need to reapply a LOT. For that you are better off with Aquaphor, Labello or plain old Vaseline, that don’t really hydrate but are excellent protection.
I find it very good to apply at night, to repair the lips.
As other users mentioned, it goes on really thin. My tube is almost out, so I am applying it with a brush, which makes for a more generous nightime treatment.
When my lips or skin are already extremely damaged, I prefer to reach for LPR Cicaplast, both for day and night (repairs, soothes and the silicone in it makes a good barrier).

Meh. That was my reaction after opening and applying this lip care after much anticipation. La Roche Posay makes wonderful, nurturing skincare products for sensitive, dryskin, that I had high expectations. Reminds me of a glue stick.

It’s an OK lip balm, the hydration is enough for my rarely dry lips. It’s unscented and doesn’t make my lips peel (Labello classic does this for me). I wouldn’t pay more than 5 euros for it (mine cost 3 euros).

Bought this lip balm because I love other La Roche Posay products. I like this. It is definitely unscented, unflavored, and really gentle (good for sensitivities) which I like. It just feels a little thin or something though, doesn’t feel creamy enough when it’s on. I prefer the Nivea (Labello) in the dark blue tube, which is creamier. But I think I generally like lip balms that are heavier than most people like, so this might be perfect for someone else! My bottom line is, if I couldn’t get the Nivea, I’d go for this.

It does feel nice on and it does sink in. I did find I had to reapply but the formula is one of the better ones. It is moisturizing and it does help. For a while this was my HG but has since been replaced by Bariederm Levres (by Uriage) which I find is more hydrating.
Packaging:
Very sturdy and the lid does not pop off. Minimalistic but it does not become grubby.
