Rubbish! Made my top lip form a rash and turned dark too.
It feels waxy and thick to apply. It doesn’t melt and glide onto your lips like other lip balm do.
Waste of money. I have yet to find the right lip balm for me.. sigh

This is great for dry/chapped lips. It stays on the lips a lot longer than the typical beeswax-only lip balm. It contains some moisturizing oils and occlusives (to keep moisture in and not evaporate, which exacerbates the chapping). I’m sure most people have experienced the red chapped skin from the dry, frigid air. It’s fragrance-free, which is a bonus. All of those scents aren’t really great for the skin. I buy a lot of lip balms, but this is, by far, the best one I’ve used to date. Highly recommend.

I must be the only person on the planet – or at least on MakeupAlley – who doesn’t like this lip balm. I got it as part of a gift set and was really looking forward to using it based on the great experiences I’ve had with the foot and hand cream from the same range. Sadly it just didn’t agree with me. I didn’t like the ‘cooling relief’ side of it – it made my lips feel chapped even though they weren’t – and applying it was like putting a really thick layer of cooking fat on my lips. I was expecting it to melt a little on contact with my skin but it didn’t, which resulted in me having a slightly white cast to my lips the whole time. I guess if you’re really suffering from badly chapped lips or you’re looking for a lip balm that can stand up to extremely cold weather conditions, this might be the lip balm for you. For regular, everyday use though I think it’s a little too much.

I highly recommend O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair to anyone whose lips are difficult to care for. 99% of the lip balms I try get the ax after 1-3 applications, usually due to random ingredient sensitivity, but I’ve repurchased Lip Repair 10+ times. It’s a thick (but not overly waxy) formula that works best if I rub my lips together well after applying. I apply another thin coat after that’s absorbed, and it protects my lips for literally hours. For example: I have allergies that are particularly bad at night. I can put Lip Repair on at bedtime, sleep 10 hours (yes, I’m lazy), and wake up with moisturizing residue on my still supple lips, despite the fact that I was certainly mouth breathing and probably also snoring (so sexy). To wear Lip Repair under lipcolor, I apply, rub my lips together really well, and gently wipe away the excess; on its own, it has an almost matte finish. Is there someone you’d love to make out with, but they have chapped and peeling lips and refuse to wear lip balm because they’re afraid it’ll look glossy and emasculate them? Get them some O’Keeffe’s!
I use the Cooling Relief variety, in stick form. The regular formula is just as good for moisturizing and protecting, but I enjoy the gentle cooling sensation and peppermint flavor of Cooling Relief. If your lips can’t tolerate peppermint oil, the regular formula is a pleasant unscented blend; mostly a natural plant butters scent, with a faint hint of citrus.
I find that the Cooling Relief especially is almost always sold out, so I grab one whenever I see it in stock.

Okeeffe’s hand and foot products are fixtures in our home and have had for quite a few years. I was very interested in trying their lip repair but none of the places I looked was stocking it until about a week ago. Like Redwings, I also live in Canada and our winters (and this one in particular) can be brutal. This balm (I have the regular one in the stick) is nice and soothing. It’s nothing fancy or glam at all but it’s an effective and inexpensive product that is great to have on hand and easy to carry in a pocket, school bag, etc. and lots easier to use than balms in little pots. I plan to get a few more of these so I can have them in various locations. I am on the lookout for the squeeze tube formula – I’d like to try that one as well.

I have the both the “cooling relief” and regular unscented varieties. Normally I love peppermint but the first time I used the cooling relief balm it was so strong it actually tingled my lips. After that first use it didn’t seem as potent, or maybe I just got used to it. Regardless, this balm is the bomb! I have NEVER had a lip balm last as long as this one. It deserves the name “Lip Repair” too. Winter can be brutal on my lips but this keeps them coated with a long lasting barrier layer and if I forget to apply this and my lips start to become chapped it takes no time at all to heal them after wearing this balm. There is no shine and the texture is just right; no tugging at all (like Bite Beauty stick/tube lip balm), not oily, it’s as close to perfect as a lip balm can be. Holy grail status. In fact, I’ve tossed every other lip balm I owned. There was just no point putting an inferior product on my lips when I have this.

I have both versions of this in the non-menthol version. I like the liquid in the squeeze tube to wear under lipstick, and it has a pleasant light vanilla flavor. It is smooth and moisturizing, but not super-deep. The solid version is much more nourishing, but it is also pretty waxy. It has no scent or flavor that I can tell, and it lasts really well. I prefer to use this one after I wash my face and do my other skincare steps in the morning before I put on makeup. Both versions are really nice and affordable lip balms, and using them in tandem at different times has definitely made my lips less prone to chapping.

Review is for the Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm. It’s fragrance-free, lanolin free (allergic to lanolin), and it feels nourishing and soothing. It has evening primrose oil, vitamin E, shea butter and more. It really got rid of any scales and it really repairs my lips. I also love the packaging and the price :).

For the first time in my life (even from early childhood) my lips did not crack and dry. this is a very hydrating lip balm, mine says ” intensive repair” on it. I bought so many higher end and drugstore lip balms, so far this is the best!
I wear this all the time and even after hours lip balm will be gone, my lips are still hydrated!
I will recommend this compare to Dior, Amorepacific, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Burt’s Bee and ROC. It beats them all!

I’m not using this lip balm anymore not because it’s not a good product, but because I like my Paula’s Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm more and it last for a very long time while the Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm don’t.

Best cheap drugstore lip balm. The one I bought is named Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm (Canada). It might be a tad shiny/glossy on the lips, but I don’t mind it. It is very moisturizing and even if I didn’t apply it regularly my lips still feels hydrated. No cracked lips, works very well during the very cold winter. No fragrance, nothing that irritates the lips.

Best liprepear ever! I use the pink shimmering one. Have used it the last 3 years – all seasons. I blend it out with my lipstick every morning and it make it look even better due to the the shimmer. Hope they never discontinue this.

I sometimes get REALLY dry lips in the winter: they flake, crack, even bleed – my skin doesn’t tolerate cold well. My wishes for a lip product for this time of year: really moisturising, if possible, even repairing, and also: not too sticky.

I really like this because it really repairs my lips like no other product does – it’s not an over-night miracle, but it can heal my lips completely in 3 – 4 days. It really delivers intensive moisture! When I apply this. This almost isn’t sticky – I would say this is like Vaseline in stickiness. It’s not overly greasy, not too thick and not too thin. What I also noticed was that it plumped my lips a little bit – like my Liptoxyl did, which I first thought was just something I was imagining, but I read on the tube just now, and it actually has Q10, which does that 😀 I sometimes have allergies to lip products, but haven’t reacted to this in any way, even when I have it on all day long for many days in a row. This doesn’t seem like one of the products your lips get addicted too (in the “becomes drier with use”-sense)

This smells vanilla btw and has no taste, so it doesn’t make you want to lick your lips. This has a slight light pink colour, which luckily doesn’t make my lips look washed out. On my mother, who has very light lips it also looked great: it made the colour look really healthy. This comes in a big 12 mL tube, which will last you a long time, as you don’t need much on application. Has vitamin E.

This is amazing. I’m a big fan of the Working Hands cream so when I saw this I had to have it. My boyfriend and I both love it!! I like that it’s unscented, and actually lasts on your lips. It’s comfortable and actually heals cracked, dry lips. The price is right, and I like how the tube is shaped! It’s wonderful. Must have.

I’ve already bought 5 tubes of this. I love that this gives my lips a barrier at night like lanolin but more matte. Also so much easier to apply than lanolin. I have a little trouble finding this so I usually end up buying multiple tubes from amazon. It keeps my lips covered with a buttery, scent free, barrier cream that locks in the softness. I wake with rejuvenated lips. Keeps my lips from cracking and bleeding. IMO not a great daily cream. For that I like a softer cream like Nivea or chapstick. The only weird thing is the oval tube. It takes some getting used to.

you know how guys look when they put on chapstick? sort of like they’re a little girl putting on lipstick for the first time? this is the first chapstick i’ve ever met that is really nicely contoured to suit that issue. it has no scent, it isn’t “girly”, it’s inexpensive (about $3), and most importantly–it works. people may look at the ingredients and scoff, but idgaf, the shite works. (i’ve told nivea and dr. bronner to step to the left.)

Hands down the best lip balm ive ever used.
A couple years back I was prescribed Accutane for my severe acne. Accutane takes all oils out of your skin so you’re left with severely dry cracking skin, including my lips. Everything i used did next to nothing. One day i came across a forum of other accutane users that suggested Aquaphor by Eucerin.
It was the only thing that not only help get rid of dry skin but repaired it as well. I also used it as a lip balm. Then i saw that thy had it in a separate lip balm as well, and scooped it up. it’s essentially the same formula.
If my lips are cracked or dry this will help repair it almost immediately. A little goes a long way so the tube lasts forever.
Will definitely repurchase and reccomend.

Hands down the best lip balm I’ve ever used and I will never even bother trying any other now. I’ve always had very wrinkly lips that peeled a lot, despite me always using lip balms (Burts Bees to Carmex and everything in between). One day my lips got so bad that they cracked and bled and I picked this up on a whim. I applied this every couple of hours and within 24 hours my lips were healed. A few days after my lips were the healthiest they’d ever been – hydrated and plump with much less wrinkly bits! I now use this first thing in a morning and last thing at night and it keeps my lips in perfect condition.

I use a lot of lip-balm for my dry lips and this is one of the best products I ever found. It is unscented, non-greasy, non-sticky and keeps the lips soft and protected. Besides, it is also relatively cheap, so it is definitely a must for dry lips, especially if you prefer non-stick lip balms as I do.
The top is shaped in such a way that you can apply the product to your lips without using the fingers, which is also very practical. Definitely recommended.
