These are simply lovely. Gorgeous depth of color, while still remaining sheer; they last on the lips, albeit not like a lipstick, of course, and the balm is terrific stuff. I was more-than-pleasantly-surprised by the product, to be honest. I’d splurged on it (color 8, soft rose), to find something other than the “usual” balms for daytime. (I’m a devotee of Nuxe’s Reve de Miel, for nighttime–unmatched, period.)
I’ve removed a single lippie for the VERY high price–$35, give or take–and the tube is a bit “girly” for my tastes, but I can’t complain about the product at all. It’s exactly the consistency and weight I’d hoped for, and as I said, the depth of color took me by surprise–wholly unexpected. I’d thought that the Rose shade would be more like Smith’s–but it’s almost like a true lipstick. VERY pretty coloring. I liked it so much I’ve bought another color/shade, and am awaiting its arrival from Korea. 😉

I would recommend these for the women who like sheer lipsticks, much like the Shiseido Maquillage ones. While the Sulwhasoo lipsticks punch more color than the Maquillage ones, they`re still quite sheer. The colors are very pretty though, and very easy and comfortable on the lips. I got mine in a 6 color palette as a sample with purchase from the Lotte Department store in Seoul. I highly recommend buying high end goods at Lotte, because every time I did so, I ended up getting so many other samples, often regular size cushion foundations, or lotions, that it really beats going to Myengodong or individual brand stores. While I really enjoy these lipsticks, I am on the fence about repurchasing, because I think they are quiet expensive for a sheer lipstick. At the same time, they do pack some nice ingredients and are moisturizing, and I can easily see myself wearing them at the office or on a low key day.
