Between the packaging, smell, and product itself, the quality of this is phenomenal. It goes on smooth, and I especially love to apply this over a matte lipstick! It may plump the lips a little, but nothing crazy. Perfect to put in your bag and use all day long!

This is a really great product. This makes my lips really full without making them bigger per se. The lines of my lips are greatly diminished and the outline of my lips stands out more making them poutier. I feel like it makes my lips look the way they’d look if I didn’t constantly bite them and drank a gallon of water a day and lived on a farm, ha! It adds some shine but the most magical impact is how youthful it makes my lips look! Not to be weird but it kind of gives you baby skin. It looks glowy, fresh, plump, and balmy. Not like lip gloss but that rosebud, even texture of very youthful skin. I even went to a spa for laser hair removal and the technician asked me if I had just gotten my lips done! It’s pretty moisturizing but I cannot see it being transformative for the most parched, bitten lips like mine NOR is it plumping in the way that cinnamon oil or plumping lip glosses are. With this one there is no tingling, no pain, no porn star lips. With that in mind, I would wait a good 15-30 minutes before you get to see the full results. For me, I like to use it night and day but especially after I wash my face and before I put on my makeup. I walk around getting ready and when I’m about to do my lips, I wipe some off or add a thin layer of lipstick over it to give it color but retain the effect of the balm. Also, added perks:
1) My husband notices. It’s so strange how one part of your face can illuminate your entire visage. I catch him watching my mouth when I wear this ;*
2) Smells like roses but not cloyingly so.
3) Light baby pink color that won’t really interfere with the color of your lipstick or lips. Just gives a slightly milky appearance on its own.
4) Decent, heavy plastic packaging. Feels like glass but isn’t so it’s not too heavy.
Will forever buy! I have three and I keep one in my car in the winter when I’m sure it won’t melt.

Call me crazy but my lips feel plumper when wearing this balm even if they don’t appear to be any plumper. I should disclose that I LOVE Dior products and have yet to be disappointed by any of those I have purchased. I was looking for mainly an overnight lip balm to treat my lips and keep them from chapping during winter. This is perfect for that and equally great for during the day use too. Pricey, no doubt. It is Dior after all. $33 Cdn which I must admit is a little expensive but what can I say, I’m a Dior junkie. This balm is not sticky, the texture is creamy smooth, not exactly light, but not heavy either. It is not greasy like Vaseline, has only a faint hint of rose scent which is quite nice and has decent staying power. I have a tendency to go through lip balms at warp speed, applying often through the day but this seems to last a bit longer than the others.
A note about the packaging – it would be preferable to have this in a tube however I think the consistency is too thick for that. I personally do not like using my fingers to get the product out so I just use a brush (handle end) so I don’t have to contaminate the product or get it under my fingernails. I wish they gave a plastic paddle applicator with the balm but I make due with what I have. You could probably use a lip brush if you wanted but I don’t especially like that either, just a personal preference. None of this would deter me from using the product because I do think it’s the bomb/balm.
