I actually like this product a lot. It feels really nourishing on the lips and it keeps your lips smooth and soft. Its a really thick balm so you don’t need to use a lot to coat your lips. My lips felt hydrated when I used this and it didn’t make them peel that much, as some lip balms tend to do t reveal softer lips. Overall I think its a good lip balm that could potentially last you a long time.

I really wanted to love this. I love body butters and most other body shop products that I’ve tried. It smelt lovely and felt really creamy when I swatched it on my hand so I went ahead and got one.
Firstly it does nothing for my lips. In fact they feel even more dry than before. This stuff just kind of sits on top of my lips and leaves this awful whitecast. I will probably end up using it as a handcream or something because it doesn’t work at all.

Well I had really high hopes for this product because it does have some really good ingredients in it and also, its The Body Shop. I’m sad to say that this just didn’t work for me, and I think it even left my lips feeling more chapped. Which, I don’t know how.
Before I got this I would use a lip scrub followed by lip oil (Yes to Primrose Lip Oil, which is amazing) and Vaseline on top. That would be my night time lip treatment, and let me tell you it worked like a charm! In the morning my lips would feel soft and moisturized and even look fuller. I figured though, why not try a lip butter instead of Vaseline? Something that would have more moisturizing ingredients rather than just plain petroleum jelly. I found this one thinking it would make my lips feel so much better.
Needless to say, I was wrong. In the jar it looks like it would be creamy, but when you put it on your lips it turns to oil. A weird, chalky type of oil. Also, when I wake up in the morning the product is still sitting on top of my lips, rather than being absorbed. And when wiped off I’m left with chapped lips, instead of smooth and supple. I will say one good thing about it, it does have a very delectable coconut scent. Sadly the scent isn’t enough to get me to recommend this product, or even want to keep it. I will be returning this one and going back to my Vaseline.

Agree with the most reviewers here. I’m glad I’m not the only one that can’t make such an expensive product from a famous brand work. But then again, what could you do wrong? You just have to smear it on your lips. Anyway, it does leave a white cast, and if you press your lips together, it can also leave like a stripe on your upper lip. I don’t like the scent either, I find it chemical-coconut like, not the natural coconut smell that I like. But then again, maybe I’ve had mine too long. It doesn’t moisturize amazingly well, Vaseline does a much better job in winter. I decided to use this up at home, on the go outside I need something better in the wintertime.
Pro:
– cruelty free
Con:
– chemical scent
– moisturizing level not great
– residue on lips
– expensive for the quality

I’m not familiar with Body Shop products normally however I do know their products smell amazing which was what drew me to their lip butter.
I thought there couldn’t be that much difference between lip balms and thought the body shop would be quality enough.
How wrong I was!
It’s true that it does nothing but sit on the lip surface. It melts but doesn’t sink in. Didn’t think I’d find a lip balm that doesn’t do the one thing it’s supposed to. Discovered the difference after going back to Carmex. I wouldn’t recommend.

Adore the scent, a true coconut smell not fake at all. This lip butter is very slick but not that moisturizing. It’s too slick to work well under lipstick. The little tub packaging is cute but I know many people are put off by having to dip their fingers in a product, not as issue for me personally but figured I’d mention it. If you don’t need a lot of moisture and love coconut this would work well for you. Would not repurchase.

I have to say that this product is not the best in terms of moisturising qualities out there, but I find that most lip butters aren’t. If I had really dry lips this will not be the product I will go for, but the smell is so divine that I do purchase this again from time to time. It will be enough on your lips if they are moisturised and you just want to put something on, but don’t expect to get any benefits out of it. But one more time, the smell is DIVINE!

I really like the coconut scent of this, but other than that I didn’t like much. It wears off very fast after putting it on. Also, it gives my lips a whitish appearance. I didn’t realize it was doing that for a while so I felt very embarrassed when I figured it out. If they could find a way to fix those problems, I would buy it again because I do love the scent and the cute packaging.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I ABSOLUTELY DETEST THE SMELL, AND IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. LEAVES A GROSS WHITE CAST, THICK AND GREASY.
