A new find. But better late than never.
Retractable liners are a no brainer for me as they stay sharp for a precise line. Sharpening is too much of a faff for me, you could be on your third attempt to sharpen and the nib breaks…again. or it’s never sharp enough to give you a beautiful crisp line. I like my red lips to be presice and defined on an everyday basis. None of this… I’ve just made love to a popsicle and now I have ruby stained lips. I like deep saturated red colour. And this liner is a perfect starting point. I overline very slightly and fill with this. Makes an excellent base. Then I choose whichever red lipstick sparks joy in me that morning.
My go to red liner has always been Rimmel red diva. But woah there… nelly. This competition just blew wide open. There’s a new boy in town. I *might* even like this more than my beloved red diva. As the colour is a dream. A very neutral classic red. Not blue toned. Not orange toned. But yes. A true true red. It will go with every red colour you own and give you a very sophisticated grown up feel. Red diva runs a little blue based.
I think with Revlon colorstay they win, hands down for longevity. Or maybe come atleast close to their rivals Maxfactor lipfinity. With a red lip you want to ensure its going to stay on, unless you have the time to check your lips approximately every 45 minutes. Which typically us normo’s don’t. Therefore, a formula like this is definitely appreciated.
This colour also reminds me of Christmas. As a neutral red, always gives me a friendly nudge that…*winter is coming*
The formula is a little dry. But ladies we all pay a price if we want to enjoy all day wear. A darker red can look absolutely ravishing on fair lovelies and dark skinned beauties. I think it’s one everyone can rock.

I got the plum liner and I really like it. It goes on pretty well and I like the color, but my favorite thing about it is that it lasts a crazy long time. Could be a little smoother, but that’s really the only issue. Would definitely buy again.

Absolutely love. I was watching reviews for red lips online and saw that most recommended using a liner first so I went and bought this one. When I got home I tried it and my lips look amazing. It blended very nicely with my lipstick. Will definitely buy again.

Great red liner that truly does go with ALL red lipsticks (& I wear a lot of red.) Liner really stays put & even though it isn’t a liner that you can sharpen (usually my preference) I actually find that for reds, I like this one better so you get a clean line, but not one that it too sharp or thin. Can’t beat the price, color or quality in my book!

I like this liner. The color is bold and bright and goes perfectly with my NYC Retro Red lipstick. The staying power is great. I will repurchase once this liner is gone b/c it’s really hard for me to find a red I really like

This came free with another revlon lip product, and I was not impressed. When I wear red lipstick, I don’t wear liner, I find that if I put on burt’s bees lip balm first and then two coats of lipstick, my lipstick will last forever. This is just unnecesary, IMO. Also, I don’t like the shade of red, it’s too flat and not bright enough for me. I do, however, love revlon’s matte red lipstick in really red. If you like red lips, you should definitely check it out!

Great red lipliner.A true blue red.I might not like blue based lipsticks,but for a lipliner I do.I use this under a red tinted gloss like L’oreal H.I.P. Jelly Balm in Delectable,Maybellines glosses in Cranberry Cocktail and Cranberry Crave when I want them to stand out more.It does help gloss to last longer,but can be a bit drying when worn under a lipstick.The packaging is great sense it has a sharpener at the end that actually sharpends ,which I think all lip liners should come with.

This is a clear true red between a blue red and a warm red, and it makes the most marvelous matte red lipstick when drawn over a moisturizing lip base. I use Avon’s Beyond Color Lip Plumping Lip Conditioner which is a HG product in itself.
If you wanted to try a classic matte red lipstick without the hassle of bleeding into lip lines, I highly recommend this trick.
If you want less matte and more red, you can throw this warm or cool by using a gloss on top or a creamy lipstick on top in a warmer shade, or in a cooler direction.
Very versatile.

This lipliner is great. The best lipliner that I have ever tried. The red shade of this lipliner is a true red. It seems like it would work well with most shades of red lipstick. You can even use it alone with a clear gloss over it and it has good lasting power. My HG red lipliner.
