I received this in color Visa as a freebie from my local Zoya rep for buying nail polishes. I like the product itself, on my pigmented lips it’s a pretty pigmented (as far as glosses go), berry/purple color. It has a nice light smell, is pretty sticky, stays on relatively well (again as far as glosses go). BUT I hate the packaging. The gloss itself is pretty thick and hard to squeeze out of the little hole. It is difficult to spread out evenly on the lips using the tip of the tube, I would have liked an actual applicator. I end up using my fingers to spread it out, which is not the most hygienic way to apply lip color especially on the go. Overall, I like the product, but hate the packaging. If they put it in a tube with an applicator, I’d buy again.

LOVE these little lip glosses. I actually even use them instead of chapstick or lip balm in cold weather – they protect my lips and last longer better than anything I’ve tried (plus the added benefit of looking fabulous!). On top of that they have great colors and last a long time (for gloss). I must have at least 6 colors, and I’ve invented my own by mixing some of them. Price is crazy – I would easily pay twice as much. Best lip gloss ever.

Received Hot Lips Fixx as a present. Let’s see what Amazon has to say about it:
“Infused with concentrated collagen, protective beeswax, and super emollient shea butter, Zoya Hot Lips Fixx instantly relieves and restores dry, chapped, irritated lips to their natural healthy and youthful condition.”
In my experience, these claims are accurate. Hot Lips Fixx (what a tacky name, by the by) hydrates, softens, and plumps my lips, which tend toward dryness, and it eliminates any chapping. The product smells deliciously like honey, to sweeten the deal, so to speak.
So, why the relatively-low rating? The lanolin in Fixx–which Amazon’s description conveniently leaves out, even though lanolin is the first ingredient in this product’s listing–tastes absolutely foul, like sweat with a medicinal tinge. If I lick my lips when I’m wearing this stuff, I have to suppress my gag reflex, which is why I wear Fixx at night only. Considering that lanolin is the waxy stuff that sheep produce to keep their wool waterproof, I’m not surprised that it tastes disgusting, nor am I surprised that Zoya isn’t hyping this particular ingredient. I get that lanolin is in a lot of HE lip treatments, but I’ll keep an eye out for products that don’t include it.
Sheep grease aside, the Hot Lips packaging isn’t very luxurious: you squeeze the product out of the tube and onto a rounded applicator tip. It’s hard to get the product onto your lips this way. I’ve seen this applicator tip on cheap Lip Smackers products, which is all good and dandy, but when Zoya expects $15 for a non-existent applicator… yeah, not happening.

Wow, this is a great product! I’ve had L406 for a year or so and recently discovered it in my stash. Ellis Faas’s website calls it a “rose violet,” but on me it’s a medium raspberry shade–not bright, but not muted, although it’s supposed to be “vibrant color” (which is not my style, so I’m happy about that). It works great with a neutral face, but I don’t think it would be overwhelming with any look. The website also says it’s “packed with pigment” and “a little goes a very long way,” and they’re right about that. I’m not crazy about the applicator (the long silver tube with a slanted, flocked tip), but I have to say that the click-pen mechanism is very reliable and doesn’t dispense too much product at once, and the tube makes it easy to find in your purse and the cap is very secure. Anyway, I prefer to apply the product with a lip brush because it’s more sanitary and gives more control, and a very, very small amount is enough to cover lips smoothly. And once you apply it, it’s on for the duration. This lasted for five hours, with eating and drinking and an application or two of lip balm, without even fading. It has a satin finish, so the longevity is surprising, and it doesn’t dry out my lips–another nice surprise. I detect a faint vanilla-ish scent and taste, but I found it unobtrusive (and I reject a lot of products due to strong scents). It’s pricey at $35, but given the pigmentation, longevity, comfort, and Ellis Faas quality (I find her products and their components invariably well made), it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a liquid lipstick that’s not matte, doesn’t make a desert of your lips, and you can afford it, check Hot Lips out. You won’t regret it. I would repurchase.

I have this in 406..great rosy pink color. I love the color, I love the cool silver tube and I like the sponge-tip applicator. It lasts, too.
What I don’t like is the scent and taste, smells and tastes like cherry medicine . It does fade, but the initial application is a turn-off for me. Also, I find it drying. You really do have to use a balm underneath for a smooth application.
..$38 is a bit much, too

I ordered the HOT LIPS L403 (Shade Bright Fuchsia) from the Ellis Faas website.
The lipstick is gorgeous! It is shockingly BRIGHT. Although I’m not a fan of statement makeup, I actually like the color—it is a notice me shade! I would say it’s perfect for a night out. Please note, I’m a less is more kinda lady. I typically wear neutral shades but this color sooo pretty. I added a burgundy MAC lip liner at it is perfect. I plan to rock it on Saturday from day to night. The quality is rich, creamy and long lasting. After a couple of hours and eating, I applied a touch of Vaseline—the color was still going strong. I love the packaging. It reminds me of a fancy pen. Yes, it is a bit pricey but I’d say it’s worth every penny.

I really thought this was a lip GLOSS. It turns out it’s a BALM. However, it does what it’s supposed to do, which is moisturize. The color is extra. Does need constant reapplication though, but leaves your lips smooth.

There are lot of great things about these lipglosses – decent colour payoff, moisturizing and they last for a while! I really like the berry smell – reminds me of red jellybeans! I agree with other users on the applicator though – hard to apply on the go. I use a lip brush as I find the applicator difficult to weild. Still, I’d definitely buy more!

I now have two of these glosses, which I paid full price for in two separate orders, so that shows that I find them worthy. They are relatively thick and sticky, but they are pigmented and the color lasts. I have never had an issue with any feathering whatsoever. The single thing that I don’t like about these is the packaging, I hate the “applicator”. You pretty much need to take time to apply it well, and you probably should use a mirror when doing it. But I’d buy them again.

Love these. Excellent color range, most colors are somewhat sheer and very shiny. They’re a little sticky but not unbearably so. I love the berry smell but I feel like even if you didn’t like it, it isn’t strong enough to keep you from using them. They last a surprisingly long time for a lipgloss — a couple hours at least. And they are definitely moisturizing — I can apply them directly to chapped lips and they make my lips soft and moisturized. The only tricky part is applying them — the applicator tip on the squeeze tube is pretty useless, so it’s easier to use your finger, which is a bit messy. But I love the colors, results, and price ($6!) so much that it’s worth putting up with the tube.

I LOVE these lipglosses. I’ve bought about 8 of them over the past couple of months for about $3.50 ea. I adore the texture of these glosses, which I would classify as sticky, but not as sticky as say, a ColorJuice. For a gloss, I think it lasts a decent amount of time, but I think my favorite feature is that when it’s worn off, my lips still feel nice and smooth, and not at all tight. Some people have complained about the applicator, but I always apply tube glosses with my finger so I don’t care about that. Also, I like that the shine from these is not gloopy and pornstar-ish, but I feel that it’s more toned down and grownup. I would repurchase, but can’t imagine that I will have to in my lifetime.

Worst lip gloss I have ever used. EVER. It’s like liquefied scotch tape. Incredibly sticky so much that it makes it nearly impossible to apply. I do not recommend this product.

I absolutely hate the packaging of this. Although the tube is fat and cute, the applicator part is not functional. It’s a small round tip that doesn’t spread the product well over my lips, so I end up using my fingers to spread. The gloss is very sticky, so I hate touching it with my finger to apply. Not at all good for on-the-go applications. However, i love the finish i get from this. While it’s sticky, it’s very long lasting. It’s hard to spread because it’s thick. I really have to work at it when I use it, but its worth it because I don’t need to reapply for hours. They’re quite pigmented for tube-glosses, but that depends on the color you choose. I would never pay $6 for this gloss (because of the packaging and thick consistency) but I got 3 free during their twitter promo, so I really can’t complain.
