I’ve had this one for a while and only stopped using it because the plastic bottle cracked just below the pump assembly. It’s very sheer, probably the sheerest I would choose for a highlighter, because you want to see something. but that works for me because I’m 60 and I really don’t want any large mica/shimmer particles on my face. Not a good look. I want luminous, and that’s what I get. I’ve had people compliment me on my skin when I wear this over foundation or BB cream. I’m NC 25 so my shade selections in this product are limited, I could probably wear Moonstone or Opal, but this shade works well for me. I think anyone darker than me would find it underwhelming. It’s pricey, but its a large bottle and lasts forever. I’m sad about the packaging. Had the container not cracked I’d still get a few more months out of it.

I’ve seen other reviewer’s review other shades of Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquids as amazingly super pigmented and “blinding” so I thought I’d give “Pearl” a try. I have very fair skin and was hoping for an icy Snow Queen highlight. Its a shimmery lotion that looks white in the tube. But on this skin its extremely sheer and barely shows up.
On the plus side, its a barely detectable very elegant finish that doesn’t sink into pores or lines and gives the face a slightly glow with no glitter, not even microshimmer. On the negative side, its barely detectable. Only when worn thickly plastered over bare skin I can just see I’ve put “something” on the skin. If I wear under foundation it completely disappears and shortens the weartime. If I mix it into foundation it doesn’t look more glowy but it makes it more sheer and shortens the weartime 🙁 Doesn’t work as a spot highlighter over foundation as its too sheer. Doesn’t work as a primer. Doesn’t moisturize.
I have no use for a bare skin glowy finishing lotion that does nothing else. I have glowy powders and dewy finishing sprays that already do that and more. They also are able to improve the wear of foundations and hydrate my skin which this lotion does not.
For a more intense highlighter than this that gives a pearly white glow thats amazing on skin, try ELF Highlighting Pearl Paint in “Moonbeam”. Although you have to shake it before you use it (it separates in the tube), it has an elegant finish that doesn’t sink into pores or lines, doesn’t have glitter or microshimmer. And it has excellent impact on the skin as an actual blinding highlighter. I got that Snow Queen look I was after. ELF has surprised me lately.
