I used this for years and years. It kept my hair soft and smooth. Smells great and leaves my hair feeling luxurious and keeps frizz to a minimum.
It’s available everywhere in Japan and is a good quality product for such a low price range.
HOWEVER.. it can be very heavy. My hair has been thinning over time. I’ve found that this product has been too heavy for me so I’ve changed brands, but if my hair wasn’t so sensitive I would love to go back to using it again.

Finally my HG shampoo set ! I purchased this set on a promotion at a local drug store and must say that the Head Spa set is amazing. The Head Spa set is meant for scalp care (problems related to scalp oiliness, dandruff etc). I use the shampoo, conditioner and treatment, and must say that I loved the results it gives.
Unlike many shampoo, this one left my hair clean, soft, and most importantly, maintained that bounciness that I liked. Unlike many shampoos that are meant for moisturising, this one does not leave my hair feeling heavy and does not leave an oily residue. In fact, this one strikes that perfect balance of moisture and volume.
I highly recommend the Head Spa range for anyone who is looking for haircare that is targeted for the scalp. One recent tip I got from my hairdresser is to use haircare targeted for different purpose alternately. This simply means that you use, for example, a moisturising range and scalp care range alternately.

Edit 30 March 2013: Okay, I spoke too soon. It’s too heavy to use everyday. On the upside, it makes my hair so soft. So if you have a lot of hair, and they’re moderately damaged, this will help you. Not changing rating though because it’s a good shampoo.
Actually I don’t know where to put this review because it seems there’s another review page for Tsubaki shampoo but since this one has the Head Spa (golden colored series) picture, I’ll post my review here.
I bought the Head Spa shampoo. Previously I was using Avalon Organics Biotin shampoo because I have fine, thin hair and not a lot of it. Most shampoos like Pantene or even Head and Shoulders (I tried that because I have dandruff too) were too heavy. My hair couldn’t be grown longer than a bob, anymore than that and it would look weighed down. The Avalon Organics was doing okay for me until they reformulated recently and now it’s a completely different animal. It gave me itchy, flaky scalp and dried my hair out. Yeah, I did get volume, because my hair was so dry, but I don’t think that’s good.
So I was out for a new shampoo to address both the dandruff issue AND something that is conditioning for my hair, yet lightweight enough not to weigh it down. I picked this one because on the translated sticker at the back, it says it works to prevent dandruff. I wasn’t expecting a lot. I bought it at a local Watson’s – just the shampoo, no conditioner because I have some Avalon Organics one left. Not a bad price – RM30+, which is around USD10. It’s a big bottle with curved body which I’m not very fond of because it doesn’t look that great – but the results I’ve had with this shampoo made that irrelevant.
It blew my mind! I was expecting another shampoo that will weigh my hair down but not this one! Even when I shampoo every day, it never weighed it down. I don’t use any conditioner anymore… this is good enough. The smell is lovely – floral but not too strong. But I’m a floral fragrance kinda girl so it appeals to me. I run my fingers through my hair – no tangles – silky soft…. yet fluffy and full. It’s never a combination that stays with me. Or never even happened to me, ever. I’m stunned. So yes, I love this shampoo. I plan to buy the Extra Cleansing with Essential Oil (the one with a round, clear body showing the golden liquid inside) next. It’s supposed to be the clarifying one.
As for dandruff, this will fall under another review as I’m using Nizoral to solve the problem. That one gets a 5 star from me too.

TSUBAKI HEAD SPA MASK.
I tried this based on the recommendation of a youtube beauty guru and I am so thankful !! I’ve found my HG mask, finally!!
I love the sweet smell, it leaves my scalp fresh, my hair bouncy, untangled, soft and smooth.
It is a shame it is a once a week treatment, because I would love to have this feeling every time I wash my hair.
I am dying to try the whole Head Spa range (shampoo+cond) but cannot find it in my part of the world.
I am regular user of the Tsubaki Damage care conditioner and also find it very good. It does a good job in untangling my hair and hydrating it, but the feeling on my scalp is just average when compared to when I use the mask.
If anyone knows if the Head Spa conditioner is as good as the mask, please let me know.
Edit: I have long thick coarse asian hair with very problematic breakout prone scalp.

I bought the Tsubaki Damage Care with Tsubaki Amino Treatment a month ago. It comes in a tube so I like how you can just squirt out however much you want to apply. In terms of how well it works. I find it works pretty well. I find weekly reapplication is necessary to maintain your smooth, soft hair. My hair returns to its semi-dry state if not applied weekly.
According to the back of the tube, it advises the best way to apply the treatment is to shampoo, then apply it, leave it in for 20 mins, rinse it off and then use your conditioner and then rinse again. I find it works best that way. I forgot to use conditioner one time after rinsing off the treatment and my hair wasn’t that soft and smooth. So I find that this hair treatment works kind of like a face serum that you apply before applying moisturizer.
In terms of price, I got it from an online site for $14 USD, so it still is a little pricey but it’s less expensive than the Moroccanoil or the Macadamia Oil Hair Mask.

this is a review on the shiseido tsubaki head spa hair mask (Golden color tube). after shampooing, i put it on my scalp and massage it in and rinse it out after 5 min. i do this maybe once a week. my scalp feels so clean and my hair is bouncier after i use this treatment. it smells pleasant, easy to use and keeps my scalp healthy!

I bought the shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment (red pack) in HK when it first came out. There was heavy marketing & advertisement for it. It definitely lasts a long time… I got the huge bottles with the free treatment tube — it’s been over a year.
Overall, it didn’t do anything much for my wavy, thick asian hair. In fact, even Pantene does better -.-. I apply the treatment once or twice a week, and the shampoo and conditioner every time I wash my hair, but still didn’t notice a big difference. Really nothing to compliment about it, maybe just that it smells good.

I’ve been using the Tsubaki Damage Care line (the white one) for about 3 months now and I think it’s time for a review. The whole line (incl. the treatment of course) smells divine… can’t describe it.. just the divine Tsubaki-smell. The treatment comes in a squeeze tube and I use it once – twice a week. The formula is very rich and thxture is thick so be sure to rinse off well. It makes my hair so soft and silky… so in love with this treatment and already ordered a second one. Think I’m also going to try out the Shining line (the red one). My hair loves Tsubaki =)

First of all, this smells AMAZING!
This treatment is fantastic. I use it once a week, and normally sit in the Sauna with it for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. My hair is light and bouncy afterwards and it really gives it a great shine.
One bummer is the packaging. I don’t like the tube packaging because squeezing it out is a great pain. I will be buying the tub treatment next time.

I been using Tsubaki Red for almost 2 months now and I totally love it for the following reasons:
1. It smells terrific!
2. A small amount can give u a good lather and condition.
3. It leaves your hair smelling good all day.
4. It leaves your heair soft and shiny.
