I have tried quite a few Phyto products and they tend to be a hit or miss for me. Not this amazing oil though!! I love this!! It is the only product that makes my coarse, dry, heat-damaged hair shine!
I use it once every other week. I apply it on my ends before washing my hair and leave it there for a little longer than suggested (about 30′) and then I rince it off. It takes about 2 hands of shampooing as it can get quite oily but you don’t have to use any conditioner afterwards. What I love most is the smell! It smells like summer in a bottle!!
Cons:
1) Although the packaging is quite luxurious (glass jar with a pump), the pump broke quite fast and I had to jiggle it in order to get the right amount of product in my palm.
2) The price. I bought it on a sale for 17 euros (it retails for 27 euros) but it lasts for a long period of time.

I’ve been running or going to the gym every day, and it really takes a toll on my fine, damage prone hair, sweating and showering that often.
I keep this in my gym bag now, and before I head in to train, I’ll put this in my ends and through the top layer where I have a lot of breakage from heat styling. I feel it absorbs into the hair while I’m exercising (with the heat), prevent sweat from getting in there and damaging my hair with the salt, and then it protects a little from the stress of washing and styling every day, which I have to do because I sweat like a beast. After using this and a gentle shampoo, I almost feel I don’t even need a conditioner sometimes (which is unheard of for me), but I usually at least use the Phytokeratine repairing spray leave-in to make it easier to get a comb through and protect from heat styling. (That spray is HG and I will never be without it again!)
Occasionally I’ll use this overnight if I know I’m showering in the morning. It never really sinks in on my fine hair, just keeps looking greasy. I pretty much HAVE to wash it out once it’s in there. If you’re looking for an excellent overnight treatment you don’t have to wash out, the Secret de Nuit is also HG for me.

I was excited about this product after having read positive reviews of it, but it did not work for me. I have thin hair strands, but lots of them and my hair is very thick. I have a haircut that’s thinned a bit underneath, with a heavy layer on top to keep the frizz at bay, as my hair is wavy and even curly when it’s shorter and not so heavy. This cut works great for preventing frizz, but the Subtil Elixir somehow made my hair extremely frizzy! I like the concept of a hair oil as a pre-shampoo treatment, but this just didn’t work for me. I didn’t really notice a difference in my hair either. Smells nice though.

This is a lovely-smelling oil that I use as a pre-shampoo treatment sometimes, but I feel it is overpriced and I get better results from avocado oil.

Right now I am on an oil kick, I am on a journey to grow my hair long and have been using oils daily to help nourish my hair and protect it from breakage. I found that using oils has been very beneficial if you are consistent. I have thin/fine hair that I wash daily, so I will put oil in my hair nightly, sleep with it in and then wash it out in the morning. I color my hair, and also use heat- blow dryer and flat iron.
I have tried Nexxus Color Assure oil and also coconut oil. I do like coconut oil, but it can be harder to wash it out. Nexxus was my favorite, up until trying this one.
Even though this is an oil, it isn’t greasy. It washes out easily and makes my hair so soft and shiny then next day. I feel that this has helped my hair stop breaking. Love the scent, too.

I got this as a sample and purchased a bottle the same day. I use it as a leave in on my super curly thick hair. I co wash it out and haven’t had a problem with buildup at all. And the shine is something I didn’t think my hair could have!

To say that my hair is shiny after I use this as a pre-shampoo treatment is an understatement. It literally gleams and reflects light like a mirror. Also, it feels soft and nourished, and it also rinses out nicely, I only need to shampoo once to get it out. Great product, real rival to my other current pre-shampoo oil treatment favorite, the Magic Elixir by Kiehl´s. I would be nuts if I didn´t buy it again.

I got this as a sample and wow…I am in love with it. This with ONE use totally transformed my hair. RARELY does a product do that. This is insanely good and my hair so soft and shiny. I dye my hair every 4 weeks and with anyone you know it damages it. This seemed to take years off of it. It looks like when I had virgin hair, like when I was a kid.
This stuff is kinda expensive though, $38 for 2.5 ounces, but I feel that it is that good I would buy it. If you used it like once a week and use a few pumps I think this would be well worth the money.

I am a fan of pre-wash oils for hair and this is just divine. It smells beautiful and using it feels so luxurious. I paid an arm and a leg for this in malaysia as a treat and boy was it worth it. I use about 8-10 pumps on outer layers and ends of hair, leave it on for as long as possible (usually 30min – 2h) then wash out. It certainly makes hair feel soft and silky. I think the bottle has about 20 uses for my thick shoulder-blade length hair so actually not that pricey, I guess I will restock every 6 months or so.
The smell is just gorgeous, I wish it lingered longer.

I can’t believe this product has not been reviewed yet. I bought this online from Sephora for $38 for 2.5 oz. Seeing as how I no longer have a need for any other creams or styling products besides shampoo and conditioner since I have started using this oil.
The ingredients include egg whites. YES! Egg whites! Not that crazy because a lot of at home hair mask recipes call for egg whites. But, I have not come across a lot of products on the shelves that contain egg whites.
Taken from Sephora’s website:
Corn Germ Oil, Corn Oil, Squalane, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Fragrance, Pongamia Glabra Seed Oil, Egg Yolk Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Soybean Lipids, Tocopherol.
My hair is long (mid-back), chemically treated but not usually heat treated. Since my job required me to have it up in a tight bun at all times, my hair has become very damaged because I never bothered to blow dry before whipping it up into said tight bun. The result was a huge loss of elasticity, dryness and frizziness.
The first time I used this oil, I applied 3-4 pumps of this oil and massaged it into my hair. I left it on for about 20 minutes. The directions says to leave in for at least 10 minutes. My hair didn’t feel oily but it did feel a little strangely brittle. However, after I washed it out. I saw a HUGE improvement in the texture and shine in my hair. Even my husband noticed and complimented my hair.
The second time I used it, I applied 5-6 pumps and massaged it in really well. It felt a little greasy but not too terrible. I went to sleep on it. Woke up and my hair felt extremely soft and stayed just as soft and was still shiny and rich looking after my shower. I am so glad I tried this product on a whim!
