I had really high hopes for this £31 masque but I have to say it does nothing to my hair.
I’ve used it 3 times now and properly too – towel dried my hair, applied a good amount, combed it through, wrapped it in a towel, even applied heat to help it along – but it does nothing more than a (slightly cheap) conditioner.
I really hate when products don’t work and I expected more of Bumble and Bumble!

I don’t quite understand the favourable reviews!
I like the packaging – The tube is clean and fresh – a white tube with a nautical blue stripe & looks smart on my shower ledge. I thought it looked quite beachy. It comes in a squeezy tube which is super because I find tubs and bottles can get messy. There’s also no silly box or unnecessary packaging making it relatively green! Sadly, praise for this product comes to rather an abrupt end here.
I have now used the mask 4 times and I’m feeling rather crestfallen by it. It’s a moisture mask, not a reconstruct or so I just wanted to feel like my hair had had a drink. It feels quit nice and luxurious on my hair (I left it on for 15 minutes) but after I washed it out I really couldn’t see a difference in my hair. Not deterred I soldiered on with it, but I can honestly say I see no real difference in my hair & if anything, I think it misses it’s protein masks and is looking even drier. Oh woe!
It could just be a hair type – my sister who has healthy uncoloured hair tried this and liked it, but for my bleached blonde damaged hair it just didn’t penetrate it and fill it up with moisture. So I wouldn’t say don’t buy this – if like my sister you haven’t abused your hair like me, you may like. Anyway, It wasn’t a patch on my Holy Grail Kerastase Masqtinquese, and I feel paying nearly £30 to discover this is a high price!
I’d also like to say that as a rule I’m a bumble and Bumble fan having been impressed by Crème de Coco & being a huge fan of Brilliantine.

I recently moved back to the Phoenix, AZ area, and was beginning to develop “desert hair”–grungy due to the extremely hard water, and dry due to the sun and lack of humidity. Add color (my hair is lowlighted), heat styling, and styling products, and you’ve walking around with a mess on your head. I was desperate for a moisture masque, so I opted for this B&B version. I’m very pleased with it. I washed my hair with Redken’s Hair Cleansing Cream, then applied this, popped on a processing cap, and hopped in the tub. When my hair had air-dried, it looked like normal hair again–shiny, healthy, full of body, and my color looks revitalized. It still looks great two days later. I’m impressed that this is not waxy or oily, but still deeply moisturizing. It’s expensive–$37 for a 5 oz. tube (although you can find it a bit cheaper if you do some online shopping)–but a surprisingly small amount does the trick, and I will rotate it with other deep conditioners I have in my stash. I will repurchase.

Just tried this for the first time this morning, and I am very impressed. I washed my hair with Philip B Peppermint & Avocado shampoo for clarifying, then towel dried and applied this masque, left it for 10 minutes while applying heat and rinsed. Then I used the Quenching Complex and blow dried. My hair is like pure silk, but not in that weighed down, heavy way. It feels fluffy and light, which is hard to achieve with fine, scandinavian hair like mine. This works much better for me than Creme de Coco and Deeep.
I have tried many, many expensive products and as a faithful Philip B user my hair is pretty healthy and consistently soft, even though I wash and blow dry almost every day. Still, the results with this masque wows me. It doesn’t leave any residue, even though I applied it to my roots. My ends feel thicker, like they’ve just been cut. And I’ve got absolutely no tangles.
If you’ve got seriously dry hair, then I imagine the results will be even more noticeable. Definitely worth the hefty price tag, I will look forward to use this once a week.
