This is a seemingly thicker conditioner that one would believe to be nourishing and repairing for damaged hair.
It is everything but.
Sadly, it is not for dryer stressed out hair. It is more for a normal hair type that does not require anything more than a fluid light conditioning.
Although the product does contain an impressive array of actives, I find it not conditioning enough and have to blend it with the Olaplex 3 to have any effect at all.

Being completely silly I bought this balm with the shampoo from the same line (it was on offer as a duo) and this one is even worse for my hair than the shampoo.
When I use both (and I tried a couple of times, silly me), I actually look like I have a two year old’s hair. It gives me soft, unmanageable, unflatteringly flat hair, so flat that I actually look like I’m semi-balding! A limp, fly-away mess of hair that clumps together and looks miserable and awful with no volume whatsoever and I do not even go ANYWHERE NEAR my scalp with this product.
Not a look one would expect from a premium brand that is supposed to REVITALISE your hair! By the end of the day my hair looked greasy (not like in a shiny, healthy way, it looked like I have not washed it properly for a while!).
Don’t be tempted with a beautiful bottle and expensive smelling fragrance (it does smell nice and high-end the fragrance stays in your hair) – if you have delicate, thin hair – avoid this product like a plague.

First of all I have to say I’m kind of person who prefer to stay away from any product that contains silicone since I had a very experience with this component. It always coated my hair and weighed it down. However recently I found that silicones could differ in quality it depends on which type is used and the quantity of it. This product is also contain isopropyl alcohol which could be drying but not with this mask. It comes in a form of a thick cream which smells nice and not overpowering. I was totally surprised with the result. My hair felt absolutely smooth and silky even after I blow dry it. therapist mask is also amazing and really treating my hair but it smells overpowering sweet and annoying.

This is an okay conditioner. I expected more moisture and more slip from an expensive mask / balm / treatment. For reference my hair is coarse, thick, wavy and medium length, coloured only a few times a year, minimal grey.
I hoped Chronologiste Balm would make it tangle free, soft and smooth for at least a day. But after the initial softness, dryness becomes an issue, even if a generous amount is used and left on for an hour before rinsing.
If I use this in the evening, the next morning my hair has some shine but does not feel moisturised – as it does with a couple of other conditioners (Pureology Hydrate for example). Tangles, frizz and lack of smoothness are also issues.
It might be more effective used in conjunction with silicone/oil leave-in serums like ones made by Orofluido, Moroccan Oil, Kerastase or Joico etc.. But I really want an effective conditioner that does the job without a serum.
Packaging is very fancy, the usual Kerastase tubs. You don’t get much product for your money (I think it’s 200ml for roughly £30).
I give this one lippie because it’s an average conditioner at a premium price. If it was cheaper, I’d probably give it two lippies.
